^sis yannuh and shygirlme, those are exactly the same reasons why i just couldn't stop working coz i am super eager to have my own house here which is super expensive so, no holiday trips muna for the meantime. That can wait naman. :) Even the travel voucher given to us as a wedding gift, I couldn't think of any place to use it for pa.

Same tayo yannuh, wish i could resign like these girls pero dapat earning padin lol!! Our next trip probably will be in 2017 na for my friend's wedding since ako naman ang MOH this time. :)

^naku sis you are lucky nga based kayo overseas.

Pictures in agoda and even in resort's website can be deceiving.

Preferred the water villa but no issues if we get the 'land' type villa.

any recommendation for a good house reef?

you may check-out these resorts on the link below. they have nice house reefs daw..  Then compare the prices of each na lang via agoda.com or booking.com and their official website din kase some resorts can be really expensive like USD2000 per night and above.  Then compare na lang din whether the airport transfer of these resorts would be via speedboat (around USD200 each) or via seaplane (around USD400 each).

http://www.maldivesholidays.org/best-house-reef-resorts

http://www.dreamingofmaldives.com/maldives-blog/the-best-maldives-resorts-for-snorkeling-weve-seen-a-small-guide-to-snorkeling/

http://www.cntraveller.com/recommended/tropical/where-to-stay-in-the-maldives

Though I cannot recommend specific resort yet since our Maldives trip is three weeks from now pa..  we'll be there for a week.. we'll be staying in a water villa in south male atoll first.. then another water villa in north male atoll naman.. we want to experience kase both atolls of Maldives kaya we'd go north and south.. to enjoy the reefs more, we booked a separate excursion.  They have different reef excursions to choose from, i.e. dolphin reef, turtle reef, banana reef, manta reef etc..

TIP : If you plan to go on excursions, just book the half board for your room.  But if you plan to just stay and relax on the resort/villa, it's always best to book all inclusive as the food is always pricey. Tell them also that you are on honeymoon trip, they'd make the necessary romantic arrangement/setup on your room, rose petals and such and they'd provide also complimentary champagne, chocolates/cakes/fruits etc :)

hi girls. is it recommended na korea ang honeymoon? just wanna know if that's a good idea. kasi baka instead of chill relax kind of honeymoon, e puro pagod abutin namen sa kakavisit ng mga tourist spots nila.

Hello! I think it depends sa itinerary nyo, pwede namang may days na pasyal, then yung iba chill lang. But definitely madaming romantic spots sa Korea, like dinner sa N Seoul Tower, then mag locks of love kayo, Nami Island, mag pictorial ng naka-Hanbok, etc. I suggest na DIY yung itinerary kasi if sasali sa tour, baka yun yung mas pagod since hindi flexible yung schedule nyo. PM me if you need itinerary, pwede ko share sayo yung samin dati. :)

4 months until the big day and as we've got most if not all our suppliers already booked, time to start planning the honeymoon! I've been waiting for this day for so long, haha. ;D Super excited because it's my fiance and I's first Eurotrip together. Dati Japan japan lang, HK, Thailand, Malaysia, SG hahaha. But we really saved Europe for this one. <3

Nakakaloka pala, sa dami ng gusto kong puntahan, i wish i had spent half the amount on my wedding and just poured the rest into my honeymoon! All of a sudden i think a few extra weeks travelling our a**es off seems like a better idea than spending on all the little details for the wedding day that would be over before we know it. I don't really care naman about putting out good pictures because for me the wedding is just really for us and no one else. There are minimal details i can cancel at this point, like maybe DIYs, extra AVPs, prenup, game prizes and other artes.. hay, do any of you share the same sentiments?

Chili1113, i know you said before you cared more about the honeymoon than the wedding.. and now i get exactly what you mean!! I wish i had started planning our trip sooner and maybe i would have realized this.

^ to answer your question, well we had to sacrifice a few suppliers that I want because we wanted to have a good enough honeymoon hehe.. I wanted to have one supplier changed kaso my hubby put his foot down. Since mas mapapamahal daw kami, and the fact that Palawan and Greece are my non-negotiables. hehe. So we really had to curb our (my) wedding wants. Because I have so many daw 😄😄..  Needs lang! It's understandable naman.  hehe. Plus we're also buying a house next year as rentals are skyrocketing, kaya super daming gastos. 😢😢😢

^bonzaigirl! I see a lot of your posts nga sa European tours thread :) Thank you btw for commenting on my itinerary. My fiance is willing to give in to my 'mandatories' for the honeymoon (aligned naman kami na we wanna travel a lot before kids, and while we can walk 8 hrs a day!), and while we havent been discussing the related costs, nagguilty lang ako actually to be spending on the wedding and THEN spending on the honeymoon. If anything, it's a blessing we already have a 3-BR home we can grow our family in, at least for the next 15-20 years, so malayo ko pa iisipin putting up our 'dream' home sa village na gusto namin.. saka na when the kids are grown and they wanna host their own house parties on weekends. :) Gayahin namin style ng parents nya.

Regarding cutting back on wedding budget, there isn't much for me to cut but i decided i might as well  attempt, kahit di ko sabihin kay fiance. Anyway we're left with very very minor things nalang that in retrospect, i really can do without. If i tell him i want an extra week for Spain, papayag lang yun eh. Pero at least i know i have offset it somewhere :-) Worried padin that we may have to stay more than a week in Greece to really maximize the experience. We promised to stay longer in each country than we usually would since honeymoon nga but being the wanderers we are, its so tempting to keep moving! haha.

^sis sparklingjewel, hehe, yup, our motto is work hard, travel harder hehe.. joke hehe..

Your wedding is in a few months na, so most of your suppliers are already done na. And I'm sure your wedding will be quite lovely :) And the suppliers you've booked are quite at par with the best na. So to cutback will be to lessen the quality expected.  Ours naman is many months later pa. hehe. So we still have time to cutback on some things so we can have the honeymoon we want  :D  Although most of my suppliers are already booked :)  hehe. Best of luck sis😄😄. Your hubby might even surprise you and give you more than you wish for 😊😊😊

^You're lucky if you can still cut some things :) Yeah, i think this is an all "too-late" realization for me haha and realistically parang hindi ko din naman kaya magorganize the same wedding with half the cost bec we both know it wont be the same. Ohwell! Nako, my fiance wants to just hand me the tickets to each destination as we go along, that kind of surprise.. I kinda agreed as long as i get to nominate a few mandatories :)) Basta sa travel, go yun. He's in Iceland right now trekking in ice in shoes with spikes! :P Inggit ako sa little adventure nya with the aurora borealis but i know in due time we'll enjoy the honeymoon naman :) Best of luck to your preps (and your Eurotrip preps also) sis!  :-*

^waah! Aurora borealis. Been to europe 2x pero di ko nakita to siguro tadhana na wag ipakita kasi my husband wants to see that na magkasama kami. Kaya planning our honeymoon na talaga.

^shygirlme, i think they were lucky, first attempt meron daw. Hehe but it's freakin cold and I'm glad he chose to do that with his family and not me kasi baka di ko kayanin. There were risky parts daw sa trek din. I would rather be strolling the streets and eating and taking pretty pictures, at least for honeymoon :)) Lol tamad. Iceland honeymoon nyo? Scandinavia? :)

Haha kaloka ka mga taong ganyan, assuming. Lahat ng tao may sariling plano, to each his own. Do whatever floats your boat but don't insist na that's what everyone should do. Kami din, travel galore muna! Malikot paa lalo na ng fiance ko, so gala muna for 1-2 years. :)

Hala!

^I'll ask my fiance for his review of Scandinavia when he gets back. Baka naman it need not be a full three weeks. For now what seems worthy (at least based on his pics) are the volcanos, caves, ice trekking, aurora borealis, geysers and waterfalls.

:P Just like it's none of your business to be telling us when to have kids.
