I booked the clubhouse na for my son's birthday. Sayang the pool cannot be rented out.

Hello everyone! First time to post and i'm not sure if this is the right thread. Anyway, trying my luck. I found this really nice and new venue in Mindanao Av.,QC..actually part na to ng Valenzuela. I really like the place kaya nakapagdown na ako kaagad. Ang problem ko lang is madami siya inooffer na services ng mga kakilala nya, kaso namahalan ako. so naghanap ako ng sarili, then it turns out she will charge me corkages for all of those.. naintindihan ko naman yung sa cater pero yung iba like photobooth, photographer, candy buffet, foodcarts. Ganun po ba talaga? And sobrang namahalan kasi ako sa corkage nya.. imagine nakakuha ako ng foodcart na 3k and 2k lang tas ang corkage is 1k each.. sa photo vid 5k ang corkage.. sa cake 2k samantalang 2,250 lang yung cake mismo.. she explained to me na kung magkano daw ang markup nila sa supplier ganun din daw ang corkage nya.. Anyone who knows about corkages? TIA

^^ sis oo may venues talaga na lahat ng dadalhin mo may corkage fees pero ang mabibigay ko lang sayo na example yung sa great eastern hotel sa makati. Before ka mag book sa kanila, send sila sayo ng excel file ng corkage fees like sa cake pag 1-2 layers ay P335 fee, foodcart each P500, professional or non pro na photo/video ay P1,000 then full band setup na 2-5 hrs ay P3,000 lang and so on. Medyo malaki lang talaga sis yung fees dyan sa venue halos price na ng supplier. Ano name ng venue sis? Wala bang heads up muna like FYI briefing bago sila magpa sign ng contract and mag accept ng DP?

^^^ exxag naman yang corkage nila, sis. Sinasadya talaga para mapilitan ka to book with them..

Thanks mga Sis.. nagkausap na kme ulit nung owner and we kinda met half way. Pumayag naman siya not to charge yung iba like candy buffet and photographer, since DIY and amateur lang photog ko, then yung cake binawasan niya na ginawa na niyang 1k. Yun lang the rest same pa rin. Kung hindi lang talaga maganda yung venue. Lesson learned make sure to know all the details first before magDP.

Actually Sis, Ugong, Valenzuela na pala to. Pero sobrang lapit lang nito sa QC. Kung sa trinoma ang start ng Mindanao eto yung sa other end, lapit na sa Mindanao Exit of NLEX. 'Hidden Grove' may  page sila sa FB you can check. Maganda and affordable para sa isang events venue. And bago lang less than a year palang ata.

^Sis magkano rate mo sa venue? And how much corkage sa caterer? Sino accredited nila? Valenzuela area lang kasi ako baka maconsider ko yan venue mo..

Sis, OA ang corkage nila. Kung ako siguro, magkacancEl na lang ako. Didn't they disclose about the corkage before when you discussed? Sa mga napagpartyhan ko kasi like Tom's World and Rack's, lahat in writing. Yung sa 'yo since owner naman kausap mo, then it's just her call kung babawasan yung OA nyang corkage. 2k for cake? 5k for photo video???

For my son's 1st bday and baptism, we booked 100 Revolving restaurant in Eastwood.  Preferred talaga namin restaurant, for some reason hindi feel ni hubby ang mga catering. Ako naman, I liked it for the location since super lapit sa place namin tapos yun church sa green meadows Lang.

I also want our guests to experience the "revolving" part of the resto hehe hoping for a nice, simple but elegant celebration next week

^ we did something similar for my daughter's binyag. She was almost 4mos then. We booked Chef Laudico Guevarra's naman. Ww booked the whole resto so we had the whole place to ourselves. Wala rin kasi kami balak na mag-program nun so we opted for restaurant reception. Successful naman ang event, and we got compliments for the choice of venue.

^Guevarra's in greenhills sis? Yep, Ganda nga dyan. One of our options too nung binyag reception ng eldest son ko. Pero nalayuan ako Kasi tatawid pa ng edsa from our place haha. So we ended up booking the whole mezzanine of casa armas at podium for an intimate group of 30 pax
