I did not know Hairshaft podium is like that. :( Thank you sis for sharing your story here on GT. I had the same experience before, In a salon in Teachers village called Strictly Sonny. When i had my hair cut, I was offered hair color and since I already needed a touch up, I considered. (I've been doing DIY for hair coloring for a while and was busy) I said yes and asked the price for hair coloring for a medium length hair. The owner/stylist did not answer my question and since It's a small neighborhood salon, I hoped It won't be too expensive. Then after doing my hair which looked like the basic solid color i got after I DIY my hair, my bill was php 3,700+.  Of course i will not mind if I go to pricey salons with good raves for a hair color, but this was a 3-seater neighborhood salon. I only brought ~ 2k with me so I had to rush to a nearby ATM to withdraw. :( It made me question my decision making at that time, do i look like a cash cow? Never will I go back!

parang i saw that salon malapit ba yan sa Crazy Katsu? Overprice minsan.

That's not right. Why pay for something you did not ask for, you were not even informed about it. Kung ako yan, I will NOT pay for the full amount.

^^^^^ Hi sis Filipinasadhart. Yes beside crazy katsu. Its a really small salon. Location wise its in the neighborhood so the pricing must be at least friendly to neighbors - not mall based top & posh salon price. The price did not included treatment and after they did color my hair i was offered 5k if with treatment. I was told late that the color alone is php 3700+, so i said no to 5k. Before i had a color and treatment salon in Salon de Manila in Tomas Morato for 5300 package so does this mean ka level na niya ang Salon de Manila. Absurd it is.  :(

^^ Sis m_lim, what happened to you is really crazy. The price is ridiculous. I would not know where to get that amount of money in no time. Do the stylists think that money of the clients who enter their salon just grow on trees? Opportunists! That was very malign. They should give a well accounted price list before they do the service to their clients. You must feel beautiful, happy and satisfied after you come out of the salon, not unhappy, broke and cheated.

I am thankful that I checked this forum before going to hairshaft. Nagandahan ako sa buhok ni Ellen Adarna and this is the salon where she had it done. Buti ndi ako nagpunta agad or else baka nagbayad din ako ng almost 20k! Grabe naman.

^Hairshaft sis. I think it's true in the sense na matatanggal ang split ends pag nagpapatrim so hair can grow longer?

^ I think the trend rightnow, ala Carrie Bradshaw, "show them your roots with the out of bed look". I have a little of my roots showing and now I don't mind at all. If this happens to me before, i will certainly feel embarrassed with my unretouched roots showing. Lol! :)

shuxxx. i just booked a sched with fred penales sa hairshaft podium this friday. he said 6500 daw. okay naman saken price since i have long hair. but reading this, since plan ko din magpa recolor, baka abutin din ako ng magkano.

nakooo, icacancel ko na. sabihin ko na lang something came up blah blah. follower ko pa naman sya sa ig. makikita nya if nagpagawa ako sa iba.  ;D ;D

anyway, san ba nice magpa brazilian. i have unruly, digi permed, colored, frizzy dry hair. price is not an issue basta worth it naman. or magpa volume rebond na lang kaya ako. t&j ako for rebonding and digiperm before. okay kaya ang volume rebond nila?
