The Speculoos Craze

I don't understand the craze either. Yung crunchy variant, peanut butter na parang binudburan ng asukal. Yung creamy variant, so-so lang, lasang puro asukal  pati chez karine speculoos macarons, wth!?!? Depe depende na yan talaga sa taste ng tao  like nutella waaaaay better than this.

Sabi ng Bf ko lasang condensada daw haha, I'm not into nutella and peanut butter kaya for sure di ko ito type hehe. Pero I'm curious ano lasa haha..

^^Ibang-iba ang lasa nya sa peanut butter sis. For one, it doesn't contain peanuts. Secondly, wala pa kong natikman na peanut butter na spiced or may cinnamon man lang. So i really don't think it's even comparable to peanut butter. Unless of course, you are referring to the texture or consistency only.

Speculoos is an acquired taste for us, IMO. we are not used to using cinnamon and spices in our traditional cookies or even food here e. so i get that many people find the taste weird. But me, even before speculoos butter was invented, i really loved speculoos cookies already.

I almost bought Speculoos crunchy variant Lotus brand but hesitated, walang sample si Ate eh Meron din silang chocolate flavor but sabi ni Ate mas masarap daw yung crunchy so I might give it a try.

Sis, peanut butter with sugar ang nalasahan ko. Yun ang nalasahan ko, yun ang sabi ng taste buds ko. Kung hindi ko pa naalala na may dalang speculoos nun, hindi ko maiisip na yun na pala yun. Naisip ko kasi nun, bakit naman binudburan ng asukal tong peanut butter? Yun yung crunchy variant. Yung creamy, parang puro asukal na tinunaw. Yan ang nalasahan ko. I don't find the taste weird. Peanut butter and sugar are very common tastes here, and everywhere, IMHO.

Ang dami ng nagbebenta ng speculoos pero hindi ko pa rin natitikman at inaantay ko yung order ko from US lols. Mid august daw, magseptember na haha... sabi mas masarap daw yun biscoff.

I saw sa Vitaworld selling speculoos for P499 both creamy and crunchy. gosh! pricey rin pala. Meron na bang naka-try from GoNuts? mas mura kasi depende sa size.

Kanya kanya nga lang ng taste, love ko yung biscoff crunchy! Waiting game na naman since naubos ko agad yung bottle e isa lang inorder ko since ttry ko pa lang. Gusto ko kasi ng cinnamon.
