pwede ba sa beginner unang gagawin banana bread?

can someone share recipe?

I just baked this yesterday, sis. Masarap and super easy:

Ingredients

1 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 cup Sugar
1 stick Butter, softened*
2 Eggs, room temperature
3 very ripe Bananas

2 Tablespoons freshly squeezed Lemon or Orange juice

Grated zest of one Lemon or Orange

1/2 cup Pecans or Walnuts
*To soften the butter, take it out of the fridge and bring it to room temperature about an hour before you need it.  In case that's not possible here's a good  link on how to soften a butter quicker.

Procedure

Preheat the oven to 350F. Grease a loaf pan or  you can use parchment paper to line your loaf pan, too. Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.

Beat the softened butter and sugar until whipped-creamy roughly 5-6 minutes. A stand mixer would be quite handy with this.

Peel and mash the bananas. If you wish you can put the bananas in a food processor to hasten the process and make sure it's smooth. Do this while the mixer is beating the butter and sugar.

Add the eggs to the butter and sugar mixture one at a time. Add the mashed bananas and continue to beat until smooth and no more lumps appear. Pour in the lemon or orange juice and the grated zest. Beat just until combined.

Fold in the dry ingredients (flour mixture). Gently fold in the nuts. Pour into a lined loaf pan or a bundt pan and bake for about 45-55 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. When I used a smaller bundt pan it takes me about 45 minutes to bake the bread. In a loaf pan it takes a little longer to bake - almost up to an hour.

If browning too much at 45 minutes - just cover with foil and continue to bake until fully cooked.

^^ You can store buttercream if I'm not mistaken usually until 5-7 days pag fridge (or weeks if frozen). Put it in an airtight container :)

^1/2 cup = 1 stick (113g)
1 cup butter = 2 sticks (225g)

Joining because finally may oven na ako! Hehe. But my first experience in baking was with a turbo broiler. I was able to bake macaroons (fail!) and cheesecake (pwede na!).

Anyway, my first baking tools were:
-oven thermometer (one should really have this. Bought mine from Gourdo's.)
-mixing bowls (small, medium, large)  ;)
-spatula
-wire whisk
-sifter/strainer
-measuring cup and spoons (separate for solids and liquids)
-baking pans (cookie trays, springform pan for cheesecake, etc.)

Ngayon, I have added muffin/cupcake and cake pans to my baking tools na rin (although I haven't used them!). I plan to buy kahit yung hand electric mixer muna then yung weighing scale.

I'm presently using a fan-forced electric oven. So far, I was able to bake chocolate chip cookies and lemon bars na. My next project naman would be  brownies and banana bread muna siguro then ckaes and cupcakes so I can level up na with frosting and icing. Hehe.

Backread muna uli ako for recipes. :)

^welcome to the baking club, sis! ako din, i bought my oven around 8 months ago and since then na-hook na ako sa baking. nareignite ang passion ko sa buhay. haha. parang tamang in love.

nagsimula ako sa macaroons, brownies, cupcakes. then eventually when i felt i was "ready", cakes na ang ginawa ko. di ko pa natry gumawa ng bread, though.

i can bake all day everyday, every recipe is a challenge kasi iba iba sya. grabeng ang gastos nga lang ng baking sis, bulto bulto na ako bumibili ng ingredients para makamura (lalo na ang flour at sugars, dahil staples sila). tapos yung mga utensils pa.

kung saan saang lupalop pa ako ng maynila pumunta to hunt for good buys when it comes to utensils--quiapo, divi, cubao, marikina. nakakaexcite maghanap--yung mura mo mabibili and at the same time hindi mo mahahanap basta basta sa neighborhood supermarket/department store.

(unsolicited) tip ko lang sis: if you're planning on baking cakes eventually, bili ka ng electric mixer. kahit handmixer lang. it saves time and effort, plus mas even ang texture ng batter. if you're planning on making frosting din, need mo talaga ang electric mixer.

Question, sisses.  Ano difference ng cake flour sa all purpose flour?  I found a recipe kasi kay bakehappy and it requires both.  Buti I was able to find cake flour naman but I'm curious as to what the difference is.

actually ang narinig ko sa isang bakery, yung segunda klaseng flour is all purpose flour. primera is cake flour. pero chemically speaking, mas konti ang protein content ng cake flour, which makes dough softer, just how most cakes should be.

all purpose flour naman is ideal for cookies. i've tried using cake flour for baking cookies, hindi pareho e. less crisp, masyadong malambot. its the protein that makes the difference. hehe

tried baking using cake flour.  iba nga ang texture.  i still can't decide which one i like - all purpose or cake flour.  cake flour is mabango and very fine though ang napansin ko, masarap sya pag bagong luto pero medyo tumigas after a day...

I just started baking this year, a month after i lost my baby. It has been my way of recovering. I started with cookies then chocolate crinkles and carrot cakes and cup cakes. I found passion in baking. Nagsesearch lang ako online ng recipes and halos lahat ng nabake ko, nagugustuhan ng family ko. My cousin even sells my chocolate crinkles and brownies and mga 2 hours pa lang sold out na. Knowing na maraming nag-eenjoy sa baked goodies ko, nakakawala ng pagod after one whole day of baking.
