so far naka perfect nako ng brownies.

Mga hand mixer nakikita kong price range is P500 to 5K while stand mixer like kitchen aid starts at P20K.

Eto, sinipag ako gumawa ng cake. To beat the monotony of making cinnamon rolls every single weekend for the family, cake naman para maiba.

Green Tea & Malunggay Cake

But I'd still like to call myself a bread baker.

-----

Girls, anyone here interested to get a firebrick charcoal-fed oven? May seller sa sulit selling his 2nd hand brick ovens he used in a pizzeria. He closed shop so he is selling them. P8.5k for one unit. I have spoken with him, willing to sell it for P7.5k but two units. Send me an email (kasi wala akong facebook: pantone000@yahoo.com
I will be checking out the unit next Sunday. Kung good to go, get ko na! Super excited na ako magbake ng bread and pizza in a brick oven! I am very determined to get this kasi lalo na charcoal-powered yun, so yung savings ko sa hindi paggamit ng electricity or LPG, magagamit ko sa pagbili ng mga premium ingredients for my breads. Sooo excited! :)

im using kyowa electirc oven and im loving it :=)

Hi sis.  I just bought Kyowa 28L oven. How to use the oven for baking cupcakes and cookies?  Top rods, bottom rods, or both?  And do you follow the baking time in the recipe or need to lessen the time?

Hoping for your reply.

Pasali..

I've never owned nor used an oven in the Philippines and I want to know if which oven to buy for hobby baking (mga 2x-3x a week).I mostly bake cakes and pastry.I'm used to ovens that are built in under a cooktop (I've no idea if this is gas or electric).Buying a gas range oven scares me.Is there a steep learning curve for those? I never had to set the gas levels in my previous ovens ( Mid East, Singapore and now Aussie) before.
My ovens had fan forced, top , bottom, top & bottom then normal and goes up to 300 Celsius.
Feedbacks naman please on gas vs. electric ovens, energy consumption?

Thanks!

hi bluegintonic, same as your never did i had an oven nor gas range. Since allergic ako on electric bills shooting up kaya nag gas nalang ako. Yun nga italian series ng la germania gas range have
fan na din. I think they helps on making the heat sa oven even and spread. Yan yun problem ko
sa elba gas range ko. I bought also their italy made (elba) yun medyo malaki na 60x60 ang size.
the smaller kasi is at 50X50. Since yun lighter ng oven ko and all stove are triggered by electric
hindi nako nagsisindi ng posposro or ligther para sya sumindi. its 5 watts lang naman yun lighter e
kaya para din syang stove na when i opened ganun na sindi agad. Im not sure though if la germania
has that feature na. hindi ko masyado nabusisi nun nag cacanvas ako. Kasi nga originally i was
eyeing for la germania italian series and end up to elba haha..

If 2-3x a week ka nagbabake.. mas ok get a gas range or electric range na. kasi if electric oven alam ko parang small lang sya to fit yun ga big pans. tapos you can bake 2 pans at a time pa. Yun sakin kasya ang 9x13 inches pan dalawa. also 2 12 pcs pan of cupcake sabay na agad.

and go with gas kasi ang laki sa kuryente yan e lalo if nasa pinas ka.

Madami akong nakikita like FERNA, Goya and etc.

Usually pag chocolate cupcake cocoa lang. no need for chocolate pa. Pero i bought chocolate bars sa baking shops. yun premium. Nasa 90 pesos isang buo bar. Try mo lang uli and look for a good recipe. For choco chips, yun per kilo binibili ko.
