Hi stupidgal, I noticed that din. I texted Nina last Sunday on the way to the fair, she didn't reply. To think dapat eager sila at that point kasi we were going to pay the booking fee na.  ::)

May I know who your coordinator is? So far lahat ng nakausap ko all praises kay K by C.

Matagal talagang magreply si Nina, naku uugatin ka talaga dyan sa girl na yan. Change ka na agad ng AE, pwede naman e.

Hi Sissies, it's so surreal! Never dreamed of ever actually becoming a bride nevertheless be able to have enough money to book KbyC  ;D i just wanted to share my experience. :)

It's always been my dream to get KbyC for my wedding, so after booking our church and venue i immediately scheduled a food tasting with them. My AE is Kat, and she was very nice, confident and was able to explain all the details we needed. Plus, i've seen her instagram account and her setups are really pretty!
The food was great!! I personally loved the new menu item they have, the salmon in mushroom risotto? anyone tried it?? Kaya lang upgraded siya. :( I also loved the pork belly with fig compote, and the white chocolate cake  ::) ::) ::) ::) i still dream about it every now and then wahaha The pasta we didn't like so much, the beef na parang curry it's too much spice for our palette.  :-[  pero ubos ang food namin takaw koooo!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

For those who have Kat as an AE, can i just share something. I found out she has been in and out of the hospital these past few months. Nlaman ko pa when i called their office and i was advised that she was confined that day pero nag reply siya sa email ko!! I felt so guilty that i called her and when she answered she kept apologising for not being able to answer my call.  :'( I realised that regardless of who is handling your account, they are actually just regular people din, going through regular people stuff. So patience, and a little understanding lang.

Scheduled my final FT na with her and sabi ko h2b is going to file leave cos it's his birthday, she told me we can surprise him with cake. Sweet diba? Excited for my mock setup!!! This is it!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

KbyC delivered well on the food and styling for our wedding :-* They are worth the cost and the patience.

They exceeded our expectations and everyone was saying how beautiful the venue was and how delicious the food were. Hindi ako nagkamali na gawin silang non-nego supplier  ;D

i'm having second thoughts about them because of feedback na di na-refill agad yung food kapag service time and because the person handling their booth in the last bridal fair didn't seem to be interested in entertaining us.

hay. maganda pa naman ang feedback sa food quality.

what do you think, ladies?

Hmmm this type of feedback I heard from other caterers naman..
What you can do is to tell your AE about the watch outs and then she'll note it in the contract after final detailing. I had some comments and watch outs din then they're able to follow.

Bridal fair yea I experienced that too. We left because they were busy with other clients and then scheduled an FT instead where the AE will have time for us.

When is your wedding? If it's far out, expect to build patience hehe but if it's near then they'll be attentive. Who's your other shortlisted caterer?

ganito rin ginawa ko, i told Jam, our AE, about the comments i got from GT.  i'll also ask her to write them down as things to avoid during our final FT, sa oct 2.

di rin ako sa bridal fair nagbook. i emailed them to book an FT appointment.

This is it!  I cannot believe I am actually getting married. Well, just wanted to share my FT experience yesterday with KbyC.

Since 2007, I've always read good reviews from brides to be and brides who got them as a supplier and dreamt of having them as my caterer as well. Their style is exquisite and it made me a bit intimidated to inquire, but then I mustered up all courage to send them an email and I got an immediate response from their AE Kat. We exchanged several emails and text messages and finally got to schedule the FT yesterday. Medyo nkakahiya nga coz short notice I would call her to change dates and then cancel but she was not irritated at all. Yesterday I finally met her and she was really accommodating and super friendly, i love her na!

Eto na food. For starters, she made us try four items and we all loved it especially the seared tuna on crisps, I really don't kno what it's called but the dressing is damn good. The salad with the watermelon I also liked and entrees were good also, though I didn't like the red snapper dish. But, the pork belly with fig compote and the slow-cooked beef with spinach is sooo good halos maubos namin lahat! And lastly, the dessert, we tried 5 items and we loved 3 of them especially the crepe samurai and choco and hazelnut canolli aahh to die for! Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations and I thank God I was assigned to a very nice AE. I think magiging friend ko sya even after the wedding. She showed me pegs pala, and told me not to worry coz madami naman sila items and that I don't have to pay too much for upgrades. She's heaven-sent! The more reason na napa-book ako!  Super nice talaga contrary to what I've read in a previous post na matagal sya magreply. Not at all!  I understand as brides na nkakastress talaga to plan a wedding but I don't think we should be bridezillas, being one is so not worth the stress. I agree that the client is always right but it doesn't give us the right to demand a response right away as AE's also have other things and clients to attend to. May life din naman sila outside of what they're doing diba. It always pays to be patient and considerate of others. :)

may mga nagsasabi sa akin na over-rated daw ang KbyC, na hindi naman daw ganun kasarap at hindi rin daw ganun kagaling. pero for me, preference lang yan. yun ang preference ko, if others feel that they do not like KbyC's food because it's too "unusual," i'm fine with that.

actually, medyo expensive nga sila. pero for me, sila talaga ang fit sa gusto ko. hindi gaudy ang decor and dahil na rin sa out of the ordinary ang menu choices.:) sa kanila lang ako nag-FT, wala nang iba. whenever i hear negative feedback on them, i text/ email my AE about it so that they will know about it and they can avoid repeating the same mistake. :) actualy, we got a more expensive caterer because we value our guests very much and we feel that the best way to show our appreciation for their attendance to our wedding is to serve them good food in a simple but stylish setting.:)

last oct 2, we had our final FT. a few days after that, my fiance's family and my family sat down for a meeting to discuss our final menu choices. we will be meeting AE Jam on oct 30 to finalize our menu choices and to finalize the table setup and other reception decor.:)

by the way, i also talked to my AE regarding a negative review on a wedding "nightmare-ish" incident where KbyC was several hours late for a wedding and was allegedly very ill-prepared because the staff all came from a Tagaytay wedding before that, i verified it with my AE and it seems that it did happen. according to her, to avoid further incidents like that, the company has decided to build its own commissary in Tagaytay for Tagaytay weddings. that way, both the weddings in Manila and those in Tagaytay will no longer be affected by the traffic jam and will be very well-prepared.:)

I think pareho tayo ng AE, si jam din yata sakin..clarify ko sa coord ko. :)
plan ko nga sis prepare ako ng set of questions ko during our initial FT para wala akong ma missed din.
Regarding negative feedback, ang sabi nman nung cousin in law (to be) ko is hindi daw masarap food ng KbyC (the reason why she's getting Hizon's for hers) she's getting married din soon..pero hindi nako nakipag argue. Tama ka, kun san tayo masaya dun tayo :)

There's a lot of raves kasi so people have such high expectations. Pero they also have a few dishes that are so so.

The key is to narrow down the best sellers and choose according to your guests.
Been asking my guests and all of them loved the food :)

Nice to hear that they have a solution to avoid the Tagaytay incident from happening again.

Sorry but I just have to share na kadiri yung Hizons madumi utensils nila (FT and weddings we went to). We had them changed but same pa din so we cleaned them ourselves.
Food is not good lunukin na lang out of respect sa newlyweds.

^hi sis, im already done with the initial and final food tasting. We have also picked our final menu choices and the decor.

For the cocktails, we're having blinis with smoked salmon and dill, hoisin  chicken wrap and the crostini with prawn thermidor.

Sa soup, i really liked the mushroom with truffle oil, kaya lang di namin pinili kasi we felt that the guests might not appreciate it.

For the pasta, i think, ok yung mixed seafood pasta. But we changed it kasi baka some guests are allergic to seafood, so we chose eggplant parmigiana instead para mabalance na hindi puro seafood ang food choices.

For the fish, i personally liked the red snapper with mango and coconut cream. Pero we had to balance everything para hindi lahat cream based, so we are having seared tuna salpicao which is just as good naman. Also for the grilled red snapper, di maganda ang itsura niya pag maliliit ang servings so baka di ma appreciate ng guests.

For the seafood, we are having honey nut prawns.:) my fiance, FMIL, my mom and i all agreed on this.

For the chicken, pinili ko yung supreme of chicken with herbed cream sauce. Super sarap.tsaka nakita ko rin sa ibang reviews na well recommended ito for the chicken dishes. Yung ibang choices kasi ordinary lang, parang iba ibang versions lang ng roasted chicken.

For beef, i chose osso bucco. The slow cooked beef kasi parang beef steak lang in my opinion. Tapos ayoko naman ng mga dishes na may barbecue sauce, so there.

We are not ordering any pork dishes because we will be serving lechon.:) although the pork belly with fig compote is the dish that i can recommend if you wish to serve pork. Para siyang lechon din pero mas malambot yung laman kasi belly.

For dessert, we are going to serve bannofee cups and fresh fruits. Tapos we will be having a separate supplier for our ice cream station. So there.

Yun yung mga choices namin.:)

For the

Hi sis fionaapple
Yung mga nirecommend mo for chicken at pork at fish ay mga pre chosen dish ko when I checked the menu last week. Amazing!! Hahaha pag uwi ko maya check ko ulit menu. Food tasting namin sa dec 1 pero ang final ft would be 2 weeks before the wedding na.which is itatanong kopa if ok yon kasi dun palang kami uuwi ng pinas ulit. Maraming salamat sis sa suggestions. Ang hirap mamili. Hahaha although excited nako super.

Hi Sisses,

After a month of waiting for the appointment, we just finished our initial FT with K by Cunanan. I must say I was quite underwhelmed with the food given all the rave reviews I've read here.  :(

There were dishes na sobrang miss talaga (Red Snapper was hard and overcooked, didn't have much flavor, Truffle Mushroom Linguine didn't have much flavor either, Crepe Samurai was such a disaster that we couldn't even finish it since it was sour, Japanese rolled chicken was also too hard and not memorable at all). And I am only comparing to Juan Carlo which we've already tasted before ha. Walang 'wow' dish sa K by Cunanan, whereas with Juan Carlo we had at least 3 or 4 na sobrang sarao talaga (ox tongue, grilled prawn, soup, a pork dish..) I'm totally at a loss why we didn't find the food wow. Merong mga ok naman, pero ok lang, not wow.... Broccoli soup, hoisin wrap, honey nut prawns, mini pizza.

Now we are deliberating if we'll still book them given the inconsistent performance on food, and just because of their styling. Styling kase is a big thing to us, if we cannot get all the elements we want from the caterer we'll hire a separate stylist. This is of course hoping that when we taste more dishes at our final FT, they have something more palatable that we can serve to our guests. Torn whether to get Juan Carlo who is way cheaper and yummier then divert our savings to hire an event stylist.

Second, may I ask how much yung package 2 nila (base rate)? My AE just asked me what package i know and then recorded that price sa proposal nya. I have a feeling they have different rates and I dont want to be cheated...

Lastly, has anyone here anaged to get the 10% service charge or 20k OOT fee for Tagaytay waived?

Thanks!
