If dito ka sa Pinas mag apply ng visa may processing fee na kasi sa accredited travel agencies lang pede maka-apply ng visa..  im not sure if P2K or P2500 ang processing fee? pls check na lang japan embassy website andun din list ng mga accredited agencies

dati kasi you can apply directly sa Japan embassy mismo and wala fee.. pero iniba na nila yung process.

^ Sorry, naguluhan ako. Walang bayad ang visa sa Japan? We'll go 2nd week of November this year. Ok lang kaya to apply in September last week?

Hi j_in_tokyo! Im looking at accuweather Tokyo,  temp last monday 26; yesterday 28; today 22; tom 20. Sometimes real feel temp is lower than actual temperature. Ito na ba ang mainit? or it is cooler now compared in May? Pero actual temp in May ay hindi pa lumagpas ng 29.

Here in Manila, actual temp today is 27 pero real feel is 36.

We will be in yokohama-hakone-tokyo on june 14 to 20, Manila-haneda-manila.

Submitted my application thru Reli Tours megamall,  1,200 handling fee,  received my visa in 3 working days.

Saan ba maganda magstay sa tokyo na malapit sa train station? We are coming from hakone.

one week ng naulan..and I think yung dating nyo rito maulan pa rin.
about the temperature, medyo painit na rin kasi after this rainy season
papasok na sa summer..and believe me summer here is worst than summer in manila.

About sa hotel naman,
I recommend Shibuya area and Shinjuku area,
dami hotels near those stations na may direct train going to/from hakone

For those who are about to apply for a Tourist Visa, the cheapest travel agency to file with is Discovery Travel Agency in HV Dela Costa St. Makati.  They only charge 800 pesos kahit na multiple entry.  I used to file my tourist visa with Friendship Travel.  They charge 1,200 pesos plus an additional 1k yata for multiple entry visa.

Paano ba mag pm dito? We have a problem in our hotel booking in yokohama. We were told that the hotel rate is per person and not per room. Kaya lang namin naisipan magpunta sa yokohama ay dahil sa free hotel accomodation. My wife is on an official business, kaya sagot ng company yung hotel sa yokohama.   Now, im booked in a different hotel for 3 nights for $300 kasi sobrang mahal dun sa hotel nya. Ganun ba kahigpit dun? Baka pwede naman magsneak-in sa 2nd and 3rd night pag familiar na kami sa place and i'll just leave my bags sa locker ng yokohama station.

Im flying from Manila and my wife is coming from another country. im arriving in the afternoon at siya almost midnight na. Baka on our way to hakone na kami magkita. OK na yung accomodation namin sa hakone at per person ang rate kasi may kasamang breakfast and dinner.

Siguro depende sa hotel
kung malaki ang hotel ay lagi busy ang reception then wala problema sa sneak-in
pero kung maliit lang ang hotel tapos di busy ang reception baka maging problema..
kasi makikita nila kung sino yung pumapasok sa hotel..
baka masita pa kayo..

dun sa hotel ng wife mo sa yokohama natanong nyo na ba if incase magpa-upgrade kayo ng room for two persons? or magdagdag na lang kunwari ng isa pang bed/foam?

I suggest booking sa airbnb. We are 6 in the group and we found a really nice place, around P10k lang per night. Gotanda area sya pero super near the station (JR Yamanote line). Few stops lang from Harajuku, Shinjuku and Shibuya. Super good deal na for us kasi pag sa hotel, pang 2pax lang ang 10k.

I think its a big room with big bed, on the executive floor with breakfast sa executive lounge sa intercontinental grand. I booked the smallest room in Sakuragicho washington for me.  Baka per person ang rate sa intercon because of the breakfast. I tried booking a room in shinjuku using asiatravel, wala naman difference and rate kung 1 or 2 persons.

Hi, sis. Walang interview to get a Japan visa. Your visa application will be based purely on the documents you will submit.

With regard to the plane tickets, hindi 'yan kasama sa list of requirements. So puwede ka mag-apply ng visa kahit wala ka pang ticket. But if you already booked na, puwede mong isama to support your application.

Hi, sis j_in_tokyo! I hope you could help me out. Nacoconfuse kasi ako which train pass to get. I'll be staying in Tokyo lang for 7 days. Originally, I was supposed to get the 7-day JR Pass. But after reading forum posts & blogs, it would not be practical to get it daw kasi sa Tokyo lang naman ako.

So now, I don't know if there is another train pass I could get to make travelling in and around Tokyo easier & more convenient. Much like the Octopus card in Hong Kong. Or should I just buy a ticket before each & every train ride? By the way, I will be staying in Asakusa.

sis not recommended nga ang JR pass kung sa Tokyo ka lang naman.
I recommend you use the 1-day pass ng JR or ng Metro
I think mga nasa 700 yen lang sya per day..
unlimited rides na yun..

if you are staying naman sa Asakusa, better na Metro Pass kuhanin mo (subway)
nasa 700 yen per day din ata yun..

Hi sis j_in_tokyo pwede pahelp din please we are planning to spend New Year's sa tokyo hehe around dec 28-jan3 siguro and we wanna see snow sana....basically sledding, snow tubing lang basic snow activities lang any recommendations na super near tokyo lang and pwede iday trip?  And is it true that i read na bihira magsnow sa tokyo?
