Is a hair straightening/curling iron allowed in the hand-carried baggage?

^^  I was able to bring my hair straightener in my handcarry. That was for an international flight. I had had no problem.  That was from a London airport going to another country. Ang bawal i hand carry eh anything sharp , liquids over 100 mls in more than 100 mls bottles or jars, flammable bits and bobs, and other prohibited items.

Flying with Cebupac again after a long time. Did I understand it correctly that free check in baggage is not included in promo fares anymore? As in I can't check in any bag? I'd have to buy a prepaid baggage allowance first?

You can bring 7kg hand carry free pa rin. Pero I suggest to buy prepaid baggage before travelling bec it's cheaper and no hassle pa. Lalo if international flights

Oh shucks. I've been used to having the free baggage (check-in) allowance usually included in the airfare, with Cebupac, it's apparently different with promo fares. Oh well, thanks for the advice!

is it awkward to check in carry on luggage? hehe, I have 30 kgs check in allowance and ang luggage na dadalhin ko pwede naman carry on, but I want it checked in kasi

^ not awkward, 'i've done it a lot of times na din in cases na may gamit ako not allowed for carry on.

^^^as with the low cost carrier business model you pay for the extras i.e. check in bags, food, in-flight amenities, etc. So with CebuPac you pay extra for check-in bags.

^^bakit naman awkward? Lots of people do that kasama na ako. So okay lang mag-check in ng carry on bag as long as you have baggage allowance.

As long as you stick to the rules, no problem yan We once had this bulky bag na nagshrink nung pina-bag wrap but we still checked in for convenience haha!

well, I once checked in my toiletries bag (approx size of a small backpack).  hindi na kasi kasya sa luggage.  nakapad-lock din. pasok pa din naman sa luggage allowance eh.

Another question about Cebupac. Are chargers/powerbanks allowed in the carry on bag? In their instructions, cables aren't allowed.

^ from my experience, yes. Brought phone and laptop chargers, and powerbank too.

I always checked-in my carry-on luggage. Di ko kaya buhatin sa compartment yun kung handcarry ko lang plus daming restrictions sa carry-on.

^ I wouldn't say that it's legal. But a friend of mine  had brought it to London. Ang problem dyan eh pag nag ka search..one, it's an IV drug, it's not a prescribed one. It's invasive. So imagine how you would answer the immigration official.  I would say then that would be the problem.
