Speaking of Chinatown, recently we have some friends who went here and they stayed at A Berry Good Hostel. They have nothing but good words with the place This is located at Chinatown by the way.

what i meant was, hindi pa kasi ako nakakagawa ng IT talaga for the three nighst four days trip supposedly dahil sa dami ng gusto kong puntahan

tapos biglang maka cut short pa pala ng 1 day dahil sa maling booking ko... so lalo ng kumonti ang time.

^He he he.  Thank you for your compliments sis. Pero true, even if sandali ka lang dito, just stay within the city para marami kang malibot in your limited time.  Also, in chinatown, that's already the purple line.  Harbourfront (Sentosa and USS) is just two stations away from Chinatown MRT so mas madali kang makarating sa gusto mong puntahan at the shortest time.  Good luck sis on your itinerary.

Sis xtine, I would like to do a walking tour. kaya bang lakarin to? I will be staying in Chinatown.

And then how do I go to Clarke Quay? Or separate na lang yun?

If possible kaya ba yang ng half day? And did I miss something na pwede ko na rin mapuntahan within the area? Thanks

^Yes sis.  I was based before in Raffles Place (very near MRT ang office ko).  Then my bus stop is at the Fullerton Bay which is already merlion.
When you alight from raffles place MRT, ask around kung asan ang Fullerton Bay hotel.  Tapat ng MRT station ang fullerton bay hotel (not the old fullerton hotel).  Then tawid ka lang sa indoor pedestrian crossing.  Then 3 mins walk to merlion na sha.

For walking route, go to http://maps.google.com.sg
I suggest do not use the raffles place --> fullerton bay hotel walking path.  mahaba yung nasa google map.  Instead when you alight, just ask around asan ang fullerton bayhotel.  Hirap lang iexplain yung route dito sa forum in detail

@sis michi247 nakapagstay kami last december sa hotel 81 sa bugis branch meron naman window napag stayan namen baka dahil dulo na room sya... anyways, matutulog lang din naman kayo so ok lang kahit walang window =) strict sila sa number of guest :/

Saan ko ba makikita yung statue ni Sir Stamford Raffles? Nakatayo pa ba pareho yung white and black? based sa nabasa ko "The black statue,is placed in front of the Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall in Empress Place. Another white statue of polymarble made from a cast of the black statue is standing by the Singapore River."

Nalalakad din ba yan?

Help naman, saan ko siya sila isisingit sa listahan ko? I mean yung sa 8 destinations.

Sis from chinatown, mahirap sha lakarin.  What you need to do is the following:

1.  From chinatown, ride the purple line Chinatown Stn to Clarke Quay Stn (1 mrt stn lang)

2.  Cross new bridge road until you get to clarke quay.  While crossing the bridge, you should already see Marina bay sands on your right.  And Clarke Quay on your left.

3.  When you get to the other side (sa may tapat ng colorful windows of Mica Building)

4.  Then once you cross to the other side of the north bridge (where that red hippo tour is), just walk straight.  Below will be your view:

5.  From asian civilization, just walk straight until you reach the old fullerton hotel. 

6.  From fullerton hotel, makikita nyo na merlion, esplanade, marina bay sands. 

Its a very nice walk.  more like 30 minutes walk from clark quay.

On Sir Stamford's statue.  I'm not sure why you want to see that statue.  I mean, its just a statue just like Ninoy aquino statue in Ayala ave or Luneta. He He he.  If its hachiko's statue in Tokyo, baka maintindihan ko pa. he he he just inform me if you still want to go there, i can help you with directions.

^meron din ibang attraction sis. check their website sis meron din sila packages for hotel with tour or tickets lang.

mga sis may nabasa ako sa website ng Singapore airport regarding transfer to Johor Bahru.  bale from Changi airport terminal 2 to Kotaraya II terminal S$7 ang one way fare ng adult.
 gusto ko sana clarify kung,
1. pagdating ba sa Woodlands check point at JB CIQ check point baba kami?
2. pano po kung sa woodlands check point or sa JB CIQ check point eh matagal at umalis na yung bus, nabasa ko kasi na aalis yung bus as schedule nila. eh di sayang naman yung bayad namin, sakay uli kami ng bus para makarating sa Kotaraya II?  sa citrus hotel kasi namin plano mag stay eh malapit din daw un sa city square..
