You might want to check ToysRUs kasi ang dami nilang mga Lego din and since GSS, baka discounted ang ibang items. You can also check Bricksworld online for Lego sale items. They only deliver in SG. You may also want to consider buying Playmobil instead of Lego. Tanglin mall basement carries them and Takashimaya Department Store sa Orchard.

RE: Crocs. Maraming stores ang Crocs. Meron sila sa Vivo city, Plaza Singapura, Marina Square din. Refer to Store Locator.

We had our Singapore trip last March and we stayed at YMCA along Orchard Road. It is walking distance to the station with interchange that is why very convenient ang commute namin.

YMCA is well-kept and super clean. It exceeded our expectation. My mom was very happy with our family room. The room is good for 4 persons only but we are a group of 5 and still nag-kasya kami sa room. The beds are very comfortable and the pillows and bed sheets are quality talaga. Soft, clean and smells fresh. Even if we didn't put the 'clean my room' sign, nilinis at inayos ang room namin. Walang nawala sa mga gamit namin even if we left some valuable things.

The room rate pala includes buffet breakfast for 4 persons. Super love their creamy scrambled eggs and the jams.

We got back from out SG 3-day tour. My daughter enjoyed it very much, especially the Universal Studios day trip.

We stayed at the Raffles Hotel which is near the City Hall MRT and Esplanade MRT stations. Across the hotel is the Raffles City Shopping Center & the City Link Mall.

Describing the hotel as "grand" would be an understatement. We've stayed in other 4 - 5 star hotels elsewhere but only in Raffles did my hubby said na "feeling niya nanliit siya" upon entering the lobby. We can help but notice that the foreign staff were a bit puzzled/skeptical if we are indeed billeted in the hotel since most of their guests were Caucasians. There was one Pinay hotel staff na medyo discriminatory but dedma na lang.

For those who plan to stay at the Raffles, you will have a butler assigned to your room. He can make you coffee or tea and give you a quick tour of the place and orient you with the amenities of the suite. This is a far cry in other hotels where upon check-in, you are left to find the room on your own.

I scratched the idea of joining the Hippo Tours because of the some bad reviews and I thought that it is not worth 75SGD for the three of us since we just like to see certain sights. I have a 7-year-old with me who's not that keen in walking much so I have to limit the sights that we will visit.

I got our USS tickets from Travel Delight which gave us a considerable discount at SGD176 for 2 adults and 1 child day trip tickets. The office is not hard to find at all since it's just near the Bugis MRT station and just across the Raffles Hospital complex.

After getting our tickets, we went to Chinatown (Pagoda St.) to buy souvenirs. This strip is just outside the Chinatown MRT Exit A. Shirts are priced at 4 pieces for SGD10. May mga keychains din at 6 for SGD3 at bag hooks for 4pieces for SGD1. My husband was able to score 3 silk neckties for SGD5. Silk talaga, unlike the ones we got from Bangkok na polyester.

After resting at Raffles Hotel, we took a cab to the Merlion Park. It was already past 6PM so the cab charges a night fee so almost double yung cab fare namin.

For those who plan to take a cab, be mindful of the taxi stops since you can't hail a cab anywhere. Cabs are not allowed to pick up passengers sa mga bus stops. I suggest downloading the Streetdirectory SG app so you know where the nearest stops are, which bus to take at certain times and approximate fare.

After Merlion Park, it's a long walk to the Makansutra Gluttons Bay. Ok lang since the weather is good and we were able to buy ice cream sandwich along the way. SGD1.50 na yung Singapore ice cream unlike before na SGD1 lang.

Initially, I planned that we eat at Jumbo or at No Signboard but I changed my mind since Makansutra will give us more variety and value for money. If you plan to eat at Makansutra, be there before 7PM to increase your chance of getting a table. I suggest staying until 8PM to catch the MBS light show.

For our second day, we went to USS na for our daughter. We were able to catch the free USS shuttle at the Swissotel The Stamford. Make sure to bring your passport & embarkation card since the driver will ask to see it upon getting on the bus. There's a family of Indian nationals who were asked to go down the bus after they failed to show their embarkation cards. Sayang din sa iras.

Of course, it's not fair to compare USS with the Universal Studios in the US. However, I can't help but compare USS with HK Disneyland. Parang mas naliitan ako sa USS. We were there from opening of the park until around 4PM lang since we have already covered pretty much everything. We were supposed to ride the cable car but it rained hard that afternoon so we just went back to the hotel via the free USS shuttle service.

After resting for a while in the hotel, we went to Orchard Rd. for shopping. Most shops are open till 10PM.

Were able to use almost all the modes of transportation in SG (except the rickshaw parked near the hotel hehe). For those travelling with kids, be ready to pay an arm & leg for cab fare especially if super pagod na ang mga kids at night. The MRT is reliable but super fast ng escalators and matarik pa. Feeling ko, dun pinaka-napagod yung anak ko.

Cari, better if you go on a friday but no guarantee that it'll not be packed since school vacation already started. We were at USS last friday and medyo madaming tao...

We were at Makansutra yesterday with some colleagues from Manila and I'm very disappointed with their food. Food was okay before they renovated  And price for crabs, shrimps are the same with No signboard so I'd rather eat at No Signboard. Even the chicken rice at the Wee Nam Kee stall there tastes bland We spent almost the same as with our usual bill at No Signboard whenever we go there to eat but the food portions are pathetic and quality is very upsetting

Anong murang kumain malapit sa Garden by the Bay? - Meron food court mismo doon sa Gardens by the Bay. Yung food court na iyon lang ang choice ninyo kasi ang next closest mall na ay ang The Shoppes sa Marina Bay.

ang mga hawkers madami ba sa Chinatown or Orchard? - Chinatown ang mga hawkers. Kopitiam sa Orchard (food court style)

Anong mga pasalubong ang best buy sa Chinatown? - Usually key chain, shirts, magnets. You can consider Kaya, Old Town Coffee, other coffee na instant sa mga grocery stores as pasalubong.
