No they do not as it is not their job.
Sometimes they do though but its more
like "the price is too high, don't invest"

Not exactly sound financial advise.

Note that UITFs do not have agents hence
you don't pay any sales fee.

If you want financial advise, better check
out Mutual Funds. You'll be paying fees though.

As to your second question. What's best for one
might not be best for another. Otherwise, why bother
with other types of funds right?

Dati mas ok ang BDO EIP kasi pwede kang mag start for
as low as 1k

Pero ngayon, kakareceive ko lang ng email advisory
sa BPI, pwede ka na rin mag simula for as low as 1k.
Dati kasi ang initial amount ay  based sa minimum investment
requirement ng fund which is kadalasan ay 10k

Wala na silang difference ngayon.
Aside from the fund choices.

I just opened an Optimum Savings account sa BDO. Then I realized this BDO EIP is better than just park my money in that account. How can I go and do this (BDO EIP) using the money from Optimum Savings? Kailangan ba withdraw or close account ko na lang and then apply for this?

^Pede i-autodebit regularly galing sa savings account to EIP. Inquire ka na lang sa bank sis paano ang process.

Is it a good time to invest on BDO Equity Fund? Bukas na sana ko mag apply ng BDO EIP. Just checking kung okay ang timing ko. Thanks sa sasagot

^ If you cost average, the timing does not matter. Just do it if you really want to invest in this kind of vehicle.

For equity funds, you really need to keep your money for 3-5 years to get max returns. It's meant for long term investments...

Good day mga sis!
Been reading the whole thread and i learned a lot about this program. Plan ko din open nitong EIP. When i went to the nearest BDO branch and inquire about their UITF products masyadong mabilis yong mga sinasabi nong staff di ko pa na-internalize masyado til she asked me what do I really want to have sabi ko i want to open an account for investment and she instead lead me to their Generali analyst daw of which okey din daw yong variable life insurance nila (Life insurance + Investment). Ayon doon ako nagtagal sa Generali analyst naubos oras ko kasi inquiring na lang din for life insurance products nila. But still went again the next week sa mall branch naman sa SM kasi gusto ko makapagsimula na sa UITF nila of which tsaka ko pa nalaman etong EIP nila which is convenient sa budget, I planned to open a Kabayan acct kasi pwede din naman daw doon i-autodebit yong EIP kaso hinanapan pa ako proof of remittance from abroad. Nanghihinayang kasi ako sa maintaining balance ng regular savings acct eh na for EIP purpose lang naman sana lalo na 10k na ngayon maintaining balance.

Hope to have the proof of remittance na from my friend abroad na pinakiusapan ko padalhan ako para makaopen na ako ng Kabayan Acct and makapagstart na ng EIP.

part timer pang kasi ako eh nanghihinayang pa din ako sa maintaining balance. kaya i opt to open a kabayan acct.

I have an existing payroll account with BDO. Pwede ba na sa payroll account na lang sila magdebit monthly instead of opening a new personal savings account? TIA
