Ang sabi saken dapat daw makaearn muna ng 10k. Pero parang may nagsabi dito na hindi daw. So a bit confused.

I can confirm that you get paper losses/gains as soon as the first
contribution.

Remember, that you get a COP(cert of participation) once your
investment reaches a market value of 10k.
Emphasis on market value.

May free snacks. hehe. I'm not sure how often you attend seminars, pero if you are already a bit familiar with investing  or you've been reading books and blogs nila bo etc then ang magiging tingin mo dun sa seminar is like they are selling their products lang. Pero informative parin kasi you'll get to know more about their products and you can compare it to others.

Hi sisses! Just want to ask lang sana regarding the COP I redeemed today. It showed the amount P11,910.04 and then the original participation fee na P12,000. Does this mean ba na P12,000 yung nadebit samin? I got confuse kasi dahil ang alam ko every P10k ang bubuuin. Then it showed the no.of units I got, this will be the figure that I'll be multiplying to the daily NAPVU to check if I 'm gaining or losing? TIA!

You probably mean "original amount" not "original participation fee"?

I have a copy of my COP and it doesn't say participation fee and
participation fee doesn't make sense anyway as there is no
fee to participate(invest).

Anyway, yes you are correct. You paid 12,000 and you have
a paper loss of around 80 pesos.

Based on the figures you provided, you probably invest
2,000 per contribution date.

Remember that every time you invest, it really is
invested in the chosen fund.

Now normally, you'd get a certificate of participation
every 5 contributions as you'll have 10,000 invested
at that point and your 10,000 would have some paper
gains.

However in your case it looks like on your 5th contribution
date, you had invested 10,000 but the market value of
your investment is less than 10,000.. not surprising as
both bond and equity funds haven't been going up with
bond funds going way down.

So, on your 6th contribution date, you finally breached
the 10,000 market value requirement thus you finally
have a certificate of participation. At that point you
had already invested 12,000 but owing to the market,
your investment is less than the amount you invested.


I hope that cleared things up for you.

As to your second question, yes you are correct yet again.
Get the # of units and multiply by that day's NAVPU and
you get your investment's market. If its more than 12,000
you have some paper gains, otherwise you have some
paper losses.

meron din ang BPI na ganito. its BPI RPS Regular Subscription Plan. ano kaya mas ok sa dalawa? parang pareho lang sila ng features.

Dati mas ok ang BDO EIP kasi pwede kang mag start for
as low as 1k

Pero ngayon, kakareceive ko lang ng email advisory
sa BPI, pwede ka na rin mag simula for as low as 1k.
Dati kasi ang initial amount ay  based sa minimum investment
requirement ng fund which is kadalasan ay 10k

Wala na silang difference ngayon.
Aside from the fund choices.
