Burgers and Brewskies in Burgos Circle

I had Kandied (burger with  candied bacon) and hubby had Call The Nurse (burger with bacon, slaw, and mac and cheese) and sweet potato fries. The burgers were juicy, with just the right amount of smokiness. I just didn't like the candied bacon so much because I still like my bacon smoky and salty. Their sweet potato fries were not so good. Overly seasoned and seemed like it had too much flour as extender.

Hungry Hound, BGC - Meh. I'm not a huge fan of Erwan Heusaff's restos, sorry to say. I don't understand all the hype. We got burgers, and all of them were so so, except for the foie gras burger, which was good only because of the foie gras. Duck fat fries were nothing special.

Balboa, Shangrila East Wing - I loved their osso bucco. It was so tender and flavorful. My husband also loved his roasted chicken. Will go back next time for their pastas and pizzas.

Tuan Tuan Brasserie - good food, fast service, I like their pork buns more than Tim Ho Wan.  Beef Curry - type ko din, the fish with pumpkin and crabstick is also good, yung noodles with halibut soup medyo mild ang lasa. I want to go back =)

Banzai

We had a dinner last November 4. 1 star out of 5 

- staff offered us a seat near the counter we can't seat well because there was a post. we requested for a new seat but to no avail. hayz
- not well lit. looks old . not appetizing
- the yakisoba and other noodles are already cold
- staff are not friendly, they aren't offering us anything. ex. in the teppan, we are asking on how we can order but they are not listening. in takoyaki, we requested for 4 takoyaki, the cook isn't smiling, responding etc. he didn't even bother to get a plate for us!
- I requested for shaved ice and the guy in the crepe station just pointed on the melted ice near the ice cream.. and then he left before I utter another word
- limited choices of food, some were not refilled/ not delicious at all

^actually, kami naman we enjoyed Banzai. Even yung service nila was good, in our case. Actually nung nagtanong ako kung may matcha soft serve ice cream, hindi lang tinuro nung waiter, siya pa mismo kumuha para sa akin.

And what i was impressed about was hindi sila kuripot mag-replenish ng Salmon Sashimi. Eh nakupo sa Yakimixx, karampot mag-replenish tapos ang tagal-tagal.

Tuan tuan - hindi ko nagustuhan honey spareribs nila nakakaumay. Over price ang rice (Php 62/cup). Pork bbq buns ng tim ho wan mas masarap kesa sa buns nila. Ewan ko bakit parang di ako nag enjoy,kagagaling ko lang guangzhou so hinahanap pa ng appetite ko cantonese food. Di ako nasatisfy sa food nila pero ok ang service.

Gyu kaku - nag lunch kami kanina dito ambilis i-serve order namin. Masarap bibimbap. Medyo pricey lang talaga umabot kami Php834/head

Lido - yummy ang Camaron Rebosado, hindi lang ako nag enjoy sa Asado nila.

Lemuria Gourmet sa Horseshoe Village.

Thumbs up sa ambiance. Ganda ng place - very romantic pero homey pa rin ang dating. Also small restaurant lang sya so hindi crowded at all. Very private yung feel and i love the lighting, hehe. Very romantic talaga.

Sa food we liked the scallops with mushroom so much! For me yun ang highlight sa lahat ng inorder namin. We ordered beef and lamb and both are very flavorful and tender. Gusto ko din yung mashed potato nila na medyo gritty ang texture.

Overall, bf and I loved it! I'd give it a 9.5/10, haha the only downside was mahirap puntahan yung place if you don't have a car. But overall we enjoyed the dinner very much, even the guard and the waiters are very very nice. The guard even accompanied us while waiting for our cab home.

Sandaya Yakiniku in Fisher Mall - medyo pricey and so-so lang. Mas masarap sauces ng gyu kaku. Ok naman ambiance at service

Hindi na ako mahilig magpost ng mga naitatry namin na restaurants pero yun kanina dapat ishare para maiwasan

Bistro Juan (Juan Bistro?) sa MOA, may party na pinuntahan ang daughter ko kaya sa malapit na restaurant na lang kami ng husband ko naglunch. Fried chicken na lang inorder namin at pork bbq kasi parang mahirap ng magkamali if ganun kasimple ang food.

ang sagwa nun chicken, luma na ang liit pa wing pa ang part tinikman lang namin hindi na nakain.

Pork bbq halos 100 pesos ang isa, walang lasa at manipis at hindi bagong luto nireheat lang


Chicken macaroni soup, yun powdered soup lang pala kasi ni hindi pa natunaw lahat may buo-buo pa then nilagyan lang ng 5 pcs na macaroni


Nun lumipat na ng place yun anak namin nagpunta na kami sa bay area ng MoA. Nadiscover ko tuloy ang Bo's coffee.

Sarap ng big breakfast platter nila tapos nag-add na lang ng pancakes pwede na para sa 2 na tao.

May 3 bacon strips, scrambled egg, breakfast sausage, corned beef at toast. Kahit makasalanan, split na lang sa 2 para medyo ok na rin

Oakroom brunch buffet
- They don't have a lot of spread but most of what I had were really good and I would rather have that than a sea of bad food.

I loved their roast beef, mashed potato, mac and cheese, and seafood something (mix of squid, shrimps, and fish fillet in a sauce). Love the ambience too.

Wala ako masabi, I mean, from their ramen to the sushi to the tempura, MAIINAM EH.

Ally's All Day Breakfast at Sikatuna Village - the price is right especially for the Big Breakfast Attack! =D I had Satisfying Steph and just had to take home the waffles... I want to come back and try other food in the menu!

Hole in the Wall (Century Mall)

Try the fried chicken at Bad Bird! It's so crunchy, but the meat was tender and moist. Best eaten with their waffles or corn The oreo cookie inception in Scout's Honor is also delicious. If you want a lighter dessert, order the cheesecake from Green Cheese.

Beeffalo, Marikina -- Anyone tried the steaks here?  Planning to eat here soon.
Chops Chicago Steakhouse, GB5 and Shangrila -- Excited na ko dito!  I need to fix my schedule!

UPDATE: Ok, I read BAD REVIEWS for Chops TOOOO expensive for the quality of the steaks (daw).   Anyway, try pa din namin baka nag-improve na ngayon.  May naka-try na ba here?

4x ko na naitry ang chops dahil sa nagustuhan ng anak ko ang mac n cheese nila. Ayun nga lang sa amin na adults hindi pasado ang steak nila mas ok pa ang myron's e last namin dun hindi ok yun steak (powerplant mall) better yun sa gb5. Salad lang masarap sa chops sa panlasa ko. Baka kasi sa iba ok naman ang chops. Hindi rin masyado mahal sa chops parehas lang rin ng iba, nagiging mahal kasi hindi ka masiyahan sa steak nila.

Parang ang sarap lahat nun food kahapon. Prawn dumplings, ampalaya, sweet n sour pork, hot n sour soup, beef hofan, fried rice atbp hindi ko na natikman yun iba.

Hindi rin sumakit ulo ko after na laging nangyayari pag kumakain sa chinese restaurant.

Mabilis kumilos ibang waiters kaya ok.
