Nanbantei of Tokyo @ BHS Central

We had a good lunch here.  Our favorites were the salmon wrapped in bacon, asparagus and chicken skin.  My children liked the yaki udon. 

Our server was attentive and fast.

Everything nice (Baguio)

- malinis ang place, maganda lighting kaya maaliwalas. Ok na rin staff d lang maasikaso pero d naman masungit.

Ang food d ko nagustuhan. Ang cassava cake sobrang tamis d na nga malasahan ibang ingredients aside sa sugar ang carbonara may tamis. Pati carbonara may pinoy sweet style na?

^ Hindi ko rin nagustuhan ang Volante sa Baguio during our trip last time.   Sa Hill Station kami 2x kumain dati kasi nagustuhan namin ang food, especially ang house salad and chocolate cake.

^maraming ginagawa sis pero tolerable naman ang traffic. Umalis kami (C5 area, La comida china) 8:00pm dumating Baguio 1am. Bagito kasi driver namin.

@marose, kahapon pa namin target yan hill station kaso sa first try ang daming tao. Sa 2nd try, driver lang kasama namin naikot na namin session road mali2x ang turn nakapasok kami parking ng sm iritable na anak ko balik CJH kami.

Discovery:
Coffee shop sa villa cordillera - owned and managed ng employees ng BCC. Drinks na lang kami tapos na magdinner nun nadaanan namin (naligaw na naman kami). Ok ang staff ang babait at attentive.

Gusto ko yun ganun lugar, simple pero maayos.

Ate at Josephine's in Tagaytay, di ako mashadong nasarapan. Yung bulalo ok lang, mas masarap pa yung kinakainan ko dati sa Espana.

^^sobrang dami tao sa OMK a short while ago dumaan kami. Nakapag hill station na kami kanina nagpareserve na kasi ako para sure na


May ok na food mayroon na hindi sa panlasa ko.

Masarap yun caesar salad (ito pinaka-ok sa lahat ng inorder namin), baby back ribs, paprika salmon, cocido, something na garlic chicken at fruit shakes.

Yun mga food na d ako nasarapan:

Callos (akala ko super sarap kasi mahal at maraming positive feedback sa restaurant na ito dating e kahit ano maiorder e winner)
Seafood carbonara at
Chocolate cake (daming raves kaso para sa akin ordinaryo lang lasa)


May mga bottled food items din sila. Kumuha ako ng mango chutney ang sarap kasi nun kasama sa bread nun pasta.

Sa wait staff naman ok yun mga girls ang babait. Laging naka-smile at good service sa lahat ng nasa table namin. Yun bald guy hindi ko nagustuhan kasi masungit. May mga kasama kasi kami na driver at kahalili nya na driver tapos isang tauhan pa. Masyadong feeling angat at kahit tawagin sya d lumalapit parang walang nakikita. Nawala tuloy tuwa ko sa place.

Modern Shanghai in Moa:
   We love the ambiance, food ans service of this resto. We had crispy seafood noodles and sliced beef with scallions. Sarap  their siomai and xiao long pao are so-so. My fave is the steamed bun with egg yolk paste. It's comparable with the one that Taste Paradise in Ion Orchard in Sg offers. I would definitely go back to this resto because of the this particular dish.

tried slappy cakes - for me nothing spectacular yung pancakes but if you bring your kids mage-enjoy sila gumawa ng pancakes.

Ketchup Community Center @the wright park

Rancho Norte yun naitry namin kasi ubos na food raw sa Canto at Happy Tummy. Ang poor ng service sa rancho norte pero masarap yun grilled bangus at crispy sisig.

tramway roxas blvd, first time to try tramway, fried rice was good, 2-3 dishes were good tapos lahat wala na lol. hubby said that the tramway in roxas blvd has more choices than the one in banawe.

Brickfire North EDSA. Nothing to rave about. or is just me? pero cute yung presentation ng adobo nila, infairness.

Tried Ba Noi's, UP Town Center. We enjoyed their fresh Vietnamese spring rolls with peanut sauce, deep fried catfish with caramel sauce, and their kangkong dish. I didn't enjoy their pork riblets with lemongrass at all. It was a little too bland and dry for my taste, although it already had chilli sauce.

Not sure if we'll try Ba Noi's again, but maybe when we're craving for pho, which we didn't get to try there.

Hassle lang talaga parking sa UP Town Center, so maybe we'll go back to that particular branch pag naayos na, or pag nandun na yung cinema.

Just tried Stella, at the Fort. My fiance and I liked it there, we liked the mushroom truffle pizza, which had yummy Malagos ricotta cheese, and the aglio olio pasta. The noodles were cooked al dente, and we enjoyed the shrimp, calamari, and octopus toppings. The only thing I didn't like was their peach lemonade juice. Di ko nalasahan yung peach that much. We'll probably go back for their other dishes, like their porchetta, and also to try their desserts.

we tried Balkan, a yugoslavian restaurant in their BGC branch..those meat lovers will love this restaurant.. we ordered goulash, cevapcici platter, stuffed Pljeskavica and eurokrem Palacinke (crepe). we love goulash together with bread.. ito pa lang nakakabusog na talaga.. magkalasa naman ang cevapcici and Pljeskavica except that Pljeskavica has cheese inside and spicier than cevapcici.. medyo nakakaumay na rin kapag maxadong marami.. we also love their crepe.. marami ang servings at yummy ang eurokrem filling.. next time, hindi puro beef ang oorderin namin para hindi nakakaumay..

Café Lidia

I had high expectations because of the rave reviews.  The service was quick and the pasta dishes we ordered were good, but not that good as to deserve a rave in my book.  I will return to try the pizza, coffee and desserts next time.

Pasta a la Lidia (olive-oil based pasta with fresh tomatoes, olives and anchovies) - could definitely use more anchovies, kulang sa "kick" for it to be really great; good naman siya but not rave-worthy

Chicken piccata - this dish paled in comparison to my favorite chicken piccata at Chateau 1771; the chicken itself was not properly seasoned and kulang sa lemon, the pasta was flavorful because of the generous amount of garlic though it was swimming in oil.

Based on the dishes I ordered, Café Lidia is overrated.  But I will give this café another try.  Very quick ang service kahit maraming customers and the prices are very reasonable.

Alexei's in Marikina. OK naman sya. the burger was sized well, taste was ok too. I wasn't blown away though. I had a bite of my friends angus tapa, that was pretty good. the milkshakes were great and I was very happy with the service. I will probably go back to try the other dishes and bring my family. looks like a quiet and nice place to hang out.
