Kakainis. I contacted my friend who is a visa officer at the embassy this mrng around 9am.open nga daw sila. Kaso how to get there naman dba? Wouldn't risk getting stranded. So see you guys on Thursday na rin lang.

Crossing my fingers di pa mafullybooked yung prospective hotel namin sa myeongdong by the time our passports are returned. Kung Thursday submission, Wed release pa if ever, kasi Monday is a holiday ulit.  =(

^ its cold. bring jackets. 3 layers. when we were there last oct (last week of oct to 1st week of nov) we regret not bringing thermals with us. i was wearing earmuffs and gloves. manipis akong tao hehe. my brother naman isang jacket lang kaya na. makapal ang balat

^^ ahh if first week of oct okay lang yan sis jackets lang mala baguio but seoul's weather kasi is erratic hahaha. when we were there last april (spring), it snowed hahaha badtrip. biruin mo spring tapos nagsnow haha. so just to be sure, just bring lots of jackets para maglayering ka na lang in case lumamig pa lalo.

sorry cant answer your question i havent been in korea that falls on the month of sept. spring and autumn lang talaga punta ko sa korea every year. but for the won, i buy in czarina forex. you have to call them weeks before your travel to reserve.

Hi, if we will go to Korea around March 20 of 2014, when is the best time to apply for a visa? my friends suggest around Nov this year daw, hindi ba too early yun?

Submitted our documents today. Most of the people there (counting around 20-25) were messengers, probably from travel agencies. When I got to the guard issuing the number stubs, he looked at my previous countries box and said, "...US, Canada and South Korea, kelangan ng photocopy ha..." So I had, "Pati Korea? Akala ko hindi na?"...I hurriedly sat and looked at my nbr 429, eh 428 na at visa 3. I didn't want to be held up at the photocopier when my number was called so I opted to wait and see what the receiving officer would say na lang. Wala pang 1 minute, it was my turn. The Korean staff, as always, hurriedly skimmed through the pages I submitted. Less than 2 minutes she handed me the claim stub for next Wed. (Monday is a holiday kasi so skip one day pa for release). Didn't ask for any other docus. Good thing I didn't waste money, time and effort to have my previous C-2 and C-3 Korean visas and stamps photocopied. OC pa naman ako at gusto ko pare-pareho paper type ko sa lahat ng supporting docs, haha.

The entire time I spent at the embassy was less than 5 minutes. Crossing my fingers they issue me a multiple visa this time around since it takes a lot of effort to collect supporting docus and to travel there.

Will book our hotel as soon as our passports are released.

BTW, any feedback on metro hotel? Naubusan na ako ng preferred rooms at Ninetree Hotel in Myeongdong for our travel date. I've passed by Metro Hotel before on previous trips but I haven't tried staying there. Closer to Euljiro Station this time, than Myeongdong Stn. With breakfast if you book at their website.

i was in embassy too this morning. super bilis lang nga, sa window 2 ako and when i arrived #219 na sa counter, #221 ako. pag-abot ko ng docs, less than a minute lang i was handed my claim stub na. release date is on Friday next week since i'm a 1st time traveler. i'm praying na approved kami nung kasama ko

^ sis theflygirl, most likely mabibigyan ka na multiple entry visa nyan. First time namin mag-apply nung April, for May trip, and hubby & I were given 3-yr multiple-entry visas.. yun nga lang, nabasa ko somewhere na when the passport expires, kelangan ilipat din sa new passport yung visa.. unlike US visas na di na kelangan ilipat.. hubby's passport will expire next year na, sa akin naman 2015 pa.
