regarding SSS maternity pay (thread 5)

last dec 2013 pa yung contribution ko kasi i stopped working last jan 2014. pano ba mauupdate to voluntary contribution yun para kahit papaano naman magamit ko din ang benefit na ito? since 2007 pako member

Hi sis...go to SSS branch nearest to your place tapos ang alam ko mag fi fill-up ka na form..i forgot lang yun form..then alam ko hinihingi nila copy ng separation certificate..or parang COE ata pwede na..not sure na kasi sis sa process try to call any sss branch then inquire ka sis.

^^ I'm now a voluntary member, from an employed member before. Wala naman ako finill-up na form. I just continued paying on my own, I just checked the box for "voluntary member" dun sa payment form.

Last week of July, I submitted my Mat2. Sabi nung nag-receive, usually nasa 2weeks ang processing and check lang daw the status online or call sa SSS para pwede ko na pickup-in check sa sss mismo, instead of waiting na maideliver ng post office. E ang hirap makaconnect sa phone lines nila, tapos nagloloko din website nila. Yday, we went to visit our othee condo unit, which yun ang address ko sa sss. Sabi sa reception, me postman daw nung Friday, dala sss check ko, pero since wala nga ako, di nila iniwan with reception.

Now my question is: pano ba yun, if bumalik sila sa condo and di ulit ako maabutan, ilang times pa sila babalik? If di talaga kami mag-abot, ibabalik ba nila sa sss ang check? After ilang days/weeks kaya? Gusto ko actually sana sa sss na kunin kesa sa post office, mainly for convenience. If someone here had a similar experience, please share what happened. TIA!

question ko lang, hindi ko po kasi magets talaga ang contribution kung ilang hulog dapat to avail the benefits.
ang sabi saken kung maghulog ako for july, august, september 2014 ok na daw yun sabi s sss. and that's what i did. ang sabi lang 15k makukuha, i paid 4950 for the 3 mos since last nov 2013 pa hulog ng employer ko. ngayong pag uwi ko nakwento ko s mom ko, ang sabi niya saken 15k din daw magagastos ko sa hulog kasi nga magbabayad pako for the rest of the months hanggang sa manganak ako on march 2015. confused talaga ako kasi kung totoo nga sabi ng mom ko, ganun din nga magagastos. next week pa daw ako bumalik para updated n ang records of payment para mafile ko n ang MAT1. thanks sissies in advance

I'm so new in this maternity thing, first baby ko, and was recently regularized sa bago kong company. i'm due sa november. and have no idea kung kelan at magkano [textspeak!] makukuha ko, i hear rumors na after 1 month ko na manganak, ganun ba un? wala pa naman akong kakilalang nanganak na sa company namin dahil super busy din sa dept namin. kakafile ko lang ng maternal notification ngayong araw, kasi was afraid na the pregnancy might affect my regularization pero mukhang hindi naman..

may idea ba kayo kung magkano and kelan talaga makukuha [textspeak!] 2months na advance payment daw?
tsaka iba ba uns maternity benefit ng sss?

to be honest, since kakaregular mo lang, wala ka pang 1 year sa work mo, tama ba? kasi if that's the case, im not sure you'll get anything from SSS kasi they would need specific number of contributions to have the benefit, if i were you tatanong ko directly sa HR.

and as for kung kelan mo makukuha, hindi sya after birth, before dapat, samin nirerelease yung check 1 month before giving birth, ilalagay mo naman sa MAT 1 AND 2 kung kelan due date mo. atleast that's what HR told me regarding policy of SSS.

My company , di pa po binibigay yung SSS maternity pay ko. I already gave birth sep 6. I don't know why. Di ba dapat binibigay yun in advance ?

Mat 2, of course not yet since I'm still waiting for the certificate of live birth

What shall I do? Is this even legal?

i dont know eh, sa amin kasi one month before due date nirerelease na yung check, and prior to that, nirequire na kami ipasa yung mat 1 and mat 2 ng sabay, and HR did the rest, next thing we know they would email us to claim the check - atleast that's what my colleague's experience, ako kasi December pa due ko, so im expecting the check this November.

Hello po mga sis!I am new here sa GT.

I am almost 9 m/o pregnant. My EDD will be on Oct 20, 2014.
nag file po ako ng MAT1 sa SSS- Makati last May, accepted naman po sya.
Pero ang problem ko po kasi, separated na ko sa prev employer ko since May.
Nag AWOL lang po ako. Pero I stayed with the company for almost 2 years,
pag check ko ng online account ko nahulugan naman po nila ako until April 2014.

eligible po kaya ako for SSS benefit?

^ alam ko sis eligible kasi excluded yung semester of contigency. so if EDD mo is oct 2014, hindi na kasama yung May 2014-Oct 2014. ang icconsider nila na contributions mo is from may 2013-april 2014.

however, they need certain documents if you're employed within the last 6 months:
2. For separated members:

Items 1a to 1c of required documents for employed members.

Certification from last employer showing the effective date of separation from employment or notice of company’s closure/strike or certification from the Department of Labor and Employment that the employee or employer has a pending labor case.

Certification that no advance payment was granted (if confinement days applied for are within or prior to separation).

SSS digitized ID or E-6 acknowledgement stub with two valid IDs, one of which with recent photo.

Depende sa officer na magchcheck ng documents mo, baka i-require ka mag submit ng documents na yan if you're employed within the last 6 months yung iba nga sss kahit 8 months hinahanapan pa nila. lalo na yung cert of separation, tapos meron pa iba eh. parang 3 yata yun na ssubmit mo. eh ang usually ina-advise sa same case mo is to talk to your previous employer na bigyan ka ng ganyan.

Ako I gave birth last march and separated from company last January. I submitted all requirement to sss for my maternity reimbursement just this month. Aside from mat2, birth cert and obstetrical report I also submitted certificate of separation, certificate of non-advancement of maternity benefit and the L-501 form.  Kaya lang ang Tagal pala bago deliver ang check 2-3 months pa.

if you are employed, the money is advanced by the company a month before birth as long as you have processed mat1 and mat2 with your HR early on the pregnancy. That's how it is in our company.

it will be advanced by your company alam ko 30 days upon filing maternity leave:
the benefit is advanced by the employer to the qualified employee, in full, within 30 days from the date of filing of the maternity leave application.

requirements kapag CS:
certified or authenticated copy of duly registered birth certificate
certified true copy of operating room record/surgical memorandum

@nikki ang tagal pala sis plan ko kasi magresign kasi i'm on medical leave sa office, indefinite due to vaginal spotting and low lying placenta ko. high risk sa miscarriage pa right now. kaso kapag wala na ako sa company, tagal pala makukuha. i called sss sabi 2-5 weeks. pero ID palang delivery na is 2 months, lol.

^sis, sa sss Ali mall Cubao ako nag file at yun nga sabi Sakin 2-3 months. Inisip ko na lang Christmas bonus ko haha. And yes, Nagpa-ID rin ako with my married name at the same time. Ganun Din ang sabi 2-3 months more or less. Unless scripted yang timeline na yan lol

Sakin daw last day ng pasok ko bago mag ML - sabi ko mag work from home na ako ng 1st week ng October eh. Kung gusto nila - pipirmahan ko na lahat ng docs saka na lang nila icredit sa payroll ko.

Hi all. I hope someone can answer my question. Edd ko is jan15 next yr. I was unemployed last june at nagstop na din yung contributions ko. I filed for mat1 na sa sss and they stated na im eligible for maternity benefit. My problem is hindi ko pa nababayaran yung present quarter (jul-sept) kasi na delay yung money. Sabi nila hindi na daw mahahabol yung sa june since bagong quarter na nga daw. My question is kung pede pa ihabol yung quarter na to next month?  Nasa highest bracket pa naman ako if mag voluntary ako so 1760 a month yun. And sabi nila don pede lang daw bumaba ng 2 levels yung contributions ko. Ang 12mos before sem of contingency ko is from july2013 to june2014. Pasok pa din ba sya sa maternity benefit? TIA!! 😊😊

As far as I know, if approved na yun MAT1, you don't need to continue your contribution to avail of the maternity benefit. Coz supposedly, they have already checked your number of contributions and if pasok nga dun sa semester of contingency. Tama ba?

Sis ilang weeks na may problem ang website nila naiinis na nga ako. Kasi need ko idouble check yung account. Sure kasi ako na naclick ko na yung sa mat 1 notification pero parang wala akong narecieved na email confirmation.

hi there! question lang, sana may makasagot.. if you have an outstanding salary loan with SSS tapos hindi updated yung monthly amortizations, ide-deduct ba yung outstanding balance ng loan sa maternity benefit?

last year kase I was able to get my sickness benefit from SSS in full, kahit pa may outstanding loan balance ako.. kaso sabi sa ibang blogs na nabasa ko, ibabawas na daw yun loan sa maternity benefit.
