We will be applying visa in French Embassy. One of the requirement is photocopy of valid and former visas, pages of the passport with Immigration stamps..... Phinotocopy ko yung lahat ng pages ng passport namin na may stamp. tama ba yung intindi ko? or yung visas na may stamp lang and need iphotocopy?

^ ang intindi ko diyan, photocopy of used pages ng passport mo. Photocopy ng valid and former visas, (if meron ka valid visa sa old passport mo)

^my experience with both the French and German embassies directly before and with VFS recently no naman. Just try to book as early as you can to get your preferred schedule.

Thanks for the reply, mama squeak! Filling out the form through the Norway portal now and hopefully I can get an appointment first week of April.

By the way, when you open and register for an account, can you apply for only one visa with that account? So, say, my father needs a visa too, I have to open another account for him and apply for visa for him through there?

hello sisses, sorry hindi na ako naka-backread. how long it does it take ba to process the application for a shengen visa if ang purpose is business trip? medyo namumublema kase ako kase i still have to renew my passport, tapos this May na yung business trip. this week lang ako nabigyan ng heads up na I might be in training sa Bratislava in May kaya ngarag ako since my passport will expire in July.

^Yikes, that's a tight schedule you're running. Your passport needs to be valid for at least 3 months AFTER your departure from the Schengen area. And to your renew your passport alone needs 2 weeks minimum. Some Girltalkers here reported getting an approved Schengen visa in as short as 3 days, but VFS Global asks for 15 days. So that's a total of one month if things go smoothly. Get started on it today!

If it helps anyone: I just finished my application to the Embassy of Norway. Print out the application form, but there's no need to print out the application summary. Although it says on the online application portal that you're not required to hand in the receipt anywhere, they still asked for it. I'm still not sure where to paste the ID pic -- some had theirs on the application form (which is what I did) while others on the cover letter. I couldn't see my papers over the counter anymore after the agent took them, so I have no idea if what I did was correct.

^I dont think it's necessary to attach the photo. I did in my first application, I have attached it in the form, but on my second application, no glue/paste around, they accepted it just fine. No need to also write applicant's name in the back of the photo.

sisses, okay na yung passport renewal ko, Apr 20 ang tentative release date. question po, sa pag-apply ng schengen visa, is it okay na gamitin ko yung exisiting passport ko and then just show them yung receipt ng new passport with release date on it? pwede kaya yung ganon para ma-process ko na yung visa application? TIA

^unfortunately not. They will need your new passport number to process your schengen visa application.

hi sissies, question, do i need a notarized affidavit of support if husband will be paying for our trip? im applying at the french embassy. bali me, husband and my son (3yo) will be traveling together. or pwede na yung mga bank cert/staments nalang ni husband isubmit and other proof of income?

^No need. Just bank certificates/statements and your husband's COE with salary indicated if employed or proof of income if self-employed. Of course you also have to submit a copy of your marriage certificate and your son't birth certificate to establish your relationship.

I got my visa approval e-mail today, after only 5 working days after the appearance. Mabilis nga lang talaga through Norway, tumama lang kasi sa Holy Week yung application ko.

Another tip: if you want a longer visa validity, make sure to add the extra 15 days to the medical insurance you purchase. Otherwise, mukhang susundin lang nila yung number of days sa hotel reservation, plane tickets, and itinerary.

^not an assurance. Tried it myself but gave the same number of days with an allowance of only 2-3 days. Akala ko nga I will be able to get extra days, hindi pala. Kasi on my first application sabi based on travel insurance and itinerary provided, so they gave me yung number of days sa insurance. So on my second apply, I added 15 days sa insurance, di pa din

Do I need to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from my employer or do I just need a COE?

^ Sorry, hindi ko gets. Don't they give us 3 months visa, regardless of how long our trip is (granted it's not more than 3 months)?  From my experience kasi, even if my trips are only for a week or two, they still gave me a visa valid for 3 months of stay.
