Required ba ang flight ticket? How about medical insurance?

^ At least a reservation is required alam ko (ditong thread ko napag-alaman na pwede ka magpa-hold ng booking sa Cathay Pacific over the phone). Travel insurance, yes, required.

How fast release ng visa sa VFS/French ngayon? Sa appointments kasi open naman lahat ng
choice dates ko. Planning on changing my itinerary na lang, nabibitin ako sa Czech embassy,
till now wala pang balita. Sept. 9 na trip ko. Thanks!

Hi,  pwede po ako magask about schengen visa?  How did you got multiple entry visa nung first time,  sinulat mo ba na need mo multiple or pwede ka bigyan ng multiple pag second application sa france kahit single entry lang ang request for 2nd application?  Thanks.

Applied for Shengen visa via French emb/VFS yesterday. But, we should be applying at Czech Republic per our tour iti. I changed the iti, to be valid to apply at French. In our entry at our first stop which is Amsterdam, will we encounter a problem for our visa?

Anybody here experienced the same? Thanks!

@adsli, actually my first schengen visa was single entry and super tipid yung validity. This was with the Austrian embassy. Then my second application was with the French embassy where I requested for a single entry. I was pleasantly surprised when they gave me multiple/3years. Since then lagi ng multiple and long validity binibigay sa akin ng French embassy.

I am assuming my travel profile plus siguro na rin my work before and my husband's occupation contributed to the longer validity visas.

@mrs. sweet, haven't had the opportunityto change my IT but per my experience when entering any of the schengen city states (Amsterdam, Milan, Paris, Frankfurt, Vienna), they only ask how long I'll be staying. Wala pang tanong about where I'll be staying or what my itinerary will be. Importatnte sa IO is valid yung visa mo. So I shouldn't be worrying much.

Sharing mine sis, we applied for Shengen visa last year, first time and they gave us Single Entry with 3 months validity only.

Now, I have a dilemma, got our Shengen visa this afternoon from VFS France. I received an email yesterday from Czech Republic for our visa application schedule which will be on 8/23 tuesday. Should I still proceed with the Czech app or ok na itong from VFS France? We should really be applying at Czech Republic for our tour, kaso tagal lang kasi mag sked kaya hinocus pocus ko na lang at sa France ako nag apply LOL

Kanina nagsubmit na uli kami ni hubby ng 2nd application for schengen visa sa vfs france.  Single entry lang request namin.  Fingers crossed...

^No need to apply for another one. Once the French embassy sees your visa, they wont allow you to proceed with your application anymore:) I also submitted a fake itinerary to the Dutch embassy so I could avoid applying at the Italian embassy. I didnt encounter any problem at the entry.

My problem is that we are joining a group tour, and upon entry in our first stop which is Amsterdam, hindi kaya magtaka yung bakit kami sa French embassy nag apply and not in Czech Rep? The group will have a separate counter for IO daw kasi (acddg to my friend who has been with the same tour months ago).

^sis,  yung friend ko sa france nagapply ng visa kahit sa italy ang longest stay niya.  Masmadali daw kasi sa france. Tapos ang entry niya netherlands.  Tinanong lang daw siya how long will you stay here sa netherlands.  Tapos okay na.

^You could always say that after you got your visa, your plans changed and you opted to join a tour instead. Honestly, they wont really care where you applied. They will just ask you questions on what you intend to do in their country.

Third time to apply for schengen, hoping for a multiple na years naman hindi 6 months lang or a year kasi useless for me hahaha.

Anyway, we leave on Dec 29. Can we apply any before october 29? Like first week of oct? Or need talaga exact 3 months before travel?

Dumating na ngayon passport namin ni hubby.  Nag apply kami ng schengen visa sa vfs france.
Aug 19 kami nag apply.  Meron akong nareceive na email aug 19 11pm na finorward na nila sa embassy yung application.  Aug 24 meron ako nareceive na email uli from vfs na ready for pickup na ang passport.  Pero we opt for courier kaya ngayong araw namin nakita ang passport.  2nd time na kami nag apply.  Single entry lang request ko pero i was hoping na multiple and mahaba yung duration.  Ang binigay samin na visa 30days multiple. Not bad na din. Atleast hindi denied.  hehe.

Hi been lurking in this thread looking for tips  Just want to share that we applied thru france (1st time to apply for a schengen visa) and i got our passports today. They gave us visas but I was disappointed it was only for 20 days, multiple entry. Although this covers the days on our trip (I estimate we'd only be 17 days in the schengen area), I thought it was a bit restrictive. And medyo nasira yung plans namin due to the validity period of our visas. Our entry point into Europe is London then we will go on to Rome. Our set itinerary had to be changed kasi the onset of the validity of the schengen visa they gave is 1 day later than what I initially requested so I have extend my UK stay by one more day. Hassle kasi naka pag book na ako both sa uk and sa rome ng accomodations, had to ammend it.
