Schengen Visa Application Thread 3 **Check page 1 for reference links**

Hi,

I asked for travel agency assistance. I did not pay for any travel insurance with them, and they gave me a certificate from worldwide travel insurance. I'm not sure if this is authentic, since I didn't pay them for any insurance fee. Will the embassy contact and confirm the travel insurance policy? The policy has a signature and coverage on it, though I think, they are just printing it out every time someone will ask for assistance.

We were late by more or less than an hour sa appointment namin sa French Embassy yesterday, luckily, naawa sa amin yung sa reception area hehe Now crossing our fingers till Aug. 20, that's when we were asked to go back and pick up our passports.

Sa itinerary, it is better if I indicate my estimate budget, so they would know the amount im only expecting to spend which will meet the amount of money i have in my bank account?

^ I personally think it won't matter (indicating your own daily budget) because I think kung magko-compute man sila if your money is enough, they will more or less base it on what they know as the "standard" cost there.

^^Yup, I second bagaholic_chewy. When you apply for your visa ang titingnan ng consul is your money in the bank if capable ka to spend for your trip without leaving you bankrupt after. Meron na silang basic cost/expense per day formula.

Mama Squeak,  thank you sa pagsagot sa mga questions ko 😀 finally got my visa! Ang bilis lang, call ako sa call center ng Germany nung aug. 23 then interview sept. 3 tapos kuha ko na passport ko with approved visa ngayon thanks once again 😃

alin ba mas mabilis mag process? direct or thru VIA?

^We applied directly last year sa Italian Embassy, they told us to go back after 9 working days for follow up. Went there on the said date, our passports were released na din naman. Waiting time sa sa submission ng application ang matagal. They don't start on time.

sis, we applied directly sa Italian Embassy last Feb 17.  exactly 3 weeks (March 7) yung pickup date namin

shucks... sa VIA daw kami sabi ni hubby. thursday ang sched namin kung may bakante.

sept28 ang target na alis. madalian kasi business trip. short notice.

bahala na, ayoko pa ma excite. masakit ma deny!

Got my Schengen Visa from French embassy. I thought, I'll get denied because of my job tenure, I'm only less than a year with my current employer, which the consul kept on asking me why am I applying now, and that I'm still new to my job. Probably it helps that I have valid US visa, expired China and Korean visa.

OMG! pinapapunta ako sa Italian Embassy bukas to submit some business documents ng family business namin kahit tourist visa lang inapplyan ko.

ang problema ko, may eyelid surgery ako ngayon! so haharap ako sa consul bukas na mukang frankenstein!

bahala na nga sila kung bigyan or hindi.

^hindi ba pwedeng email lang? Baka pwede naman. Before kasi, when we applied for our honeymoon (ITA embassy din), we needed to submit additional docs pa daw, specifically our marriage certificate. I wasn't able to submit any when we applied kasi wala pa. We had just gotten married and wala pa kami NSO certified copy. Yung personal copy lang nasubmit ko via email. No probs naman. A few days after we got our visas na.

ok lang kaya email ko kahit madaming pages? mga 50 pages ata ito. kasi SEC, DTI, financial statements, etc etc.

baka naman mahilo ang consul sa dami !

gipit na talaga kami sa araw. hindi kami makapag confirm ng ticket kasi wala pang visa

^that's indeed a pickle. september 22 na sa monday. sana meron silang priority processing just like in the UK visa application centre. may extra fee nga lang, pero at least...

kami ng daughter ko sa monday (september 22) na ang appointment sa french embassy. sana naman tapos na ang bad weather.

M_lim ako confident ako na mabibigyan ka. I was interviewed by the consul as well, they asked me to bring the papers of the business etc. They gave my visa a few days before my flight lang to think i submitted my application a month before my flight, nakakaloka talaga ang italian embassy.

Tungkol lang sa business. Sa husband ko kasi yun tapos ako yung nag aaply ng visa since us citizen siya.

My two-year Schengen visa just expired. Parang ayaw ko tuloy mag-apply sa Italian embassy sa mga kwento dito.    Balik French embassy na lang ako ulit mag-apply para mahaba-haba yung validity. I'll just have to fix our itinerary para pasok sa requirements.
