Theres no other way ba to file marriage license except pag andun na tayo? Need ba talaga na personal application yun? ☹

^daeyan hello sis, i asked this with my ae before. sabi nya according sa isang bride nya, ito dw ang pnaka importanteng magagawa for you ng full coordinator mo. if well known sya at gamay yung area mo/church mo... kaya nya gawan paraan kahit walang personal appearance nyo. in our case, namamahalan ako sa full, kaya OTD lang ako kaya inisked na lang namin na uwi kame for a week 3months before our wedding para mag asikaso ng documents including filing ng license.

^vhena14 sis,yung colleague ko naman tiga pampanga sya, nagpasama sya sa mga oldies sa family nya sa munisipyo. according to her may kakilala tita nya yata dun and sinabi lang na matatanda na mga yan (kasi 30y.o na sila) wag mo na sila pa attenden nun, ayun... di na sila nag family planning. so it helps kung may kakilala kayo.

Ako din mga sis yung marriage license din ang problem ko. Yung church kasi namin nirerequire n mcomplete ang requirements 3 months before ng wedding eh diba ang validity ng marriage license 3 months din. March ang wedding namin so by december kailangan may license na kami. Ang hirap talaga ng overseas, peak season pa naman sa december at mahirap mag emergency leave sa pinagtratrabahuan ko.

sis ellaenchanted17, 120 days ang validity ng marriage license, that is 4 months approximately, process your marriage license before or after holidays nalang para hindi matapat sa peak season

Hi mga sis! For those of you who have already applied for marriage license, isn't it required magsubmit ng cedula? For those who requested a cedula, since nagwwork tayo abroad, ano sinulat niyo sa "profession/occupation/business"? Alam ko mura lang talaga sinisingil nila sa cedula but concern ko lang na baka kapag sinulat ko OFW eh singilin ako ng mas mahal when in fact tayong based abroad are exempted from tax in the first place.

sis, i did not disclose na ofw ako kasi baka mataas singil. sabi ko unemployed ako. hahaha! 5pesos lang siningil sakin sa city hall.

^well, technically unemployed ako... hahahaha, will take advantage of it, pwede na kaya ako kumuha ng cedula, wala ba yung expiration?

mga sis, kaya yung iba, nagcicivil wedding muna abroad, dahil ang hassle nung marriage license application. pag wala kayong kakilala sa city hall, strict talaga sila. wala silang pakialam maski overseas. ganun kasi nangyari sa housemates ko. so umuwi pa talaga sila sa pinas para magfile ng license kasi ayaw i-honor ng city hall yung notarized documents nila. dapat kasi dad nung groom na mag apply on their behalf. di daw pwede, dapat daw, yung mismong couple ang magfile.

Ah so pag may kakilala possible pala. Hirap kasi talaga pag overseas. Naiisip din namin ni h2b yang civil wedding na option. Pero may nabasa akong isang sis naten dito na puwede daw kumuha ng application ng marriage license tapos dadalhin niya sa saudi then pipirmahan ng h2b niya tapos ipapanotarize ata sa philippine embassy.

sis ellaenchanted17, ako yun, nagtanong kasi ako sa city hall, tapos ang payo sakin, magdala na ng marriage certificate application form, kasi kelangan yun pirmahan at fill-upan ng ikakasal, tig isang side kc kayo ng h2b mo... tapos ipapanotaryo sa consulate na malapit sa inyo, ipapadala sa pilipinas yung certificate, ipapasa nalang along with other requirements then seminar (supposedly)...

Hi mga sis! I'm looking for a thread to ask about this pero wala akong makita. Anyway, gusto ko lang malaman if any of you were able to plan your church wedding sa Pinas habang nasa abroad kayo. Is it possible ba na lahat
maasikaso mo kahit wala ka sa pinas (with some help naman of course) then uuwi ka na lang weeks before your wedding?

By the way, we're already married (civil), so gusto ko rin malaman if may mga kelangan pa kaming ayusing paperworks or sa church na lang lahat?

^Yup it's possible naman. Actually there are a lot of brides here who are based overseas. There's also a thread- Overseas brides. My husband and I are both based overseas. We'll be having our church wedding this June na. We started planning our wedding last year pa. I only went home once (last year) to scout for our venue and some suppliers. All the suppliers I've booked, I only liaised with them via PMs and emails.  I only booked OTD coordinator for that. For the payments, I normally send money via my mum, and she'll be the one to deposit it.  For the documents, especially sa church, we try to do the things that we could accomplish here like pre-cana. We didn't have to submit a marriage license since we are already married civilly as well. But we did had our marriage recorded in the Philippine consulate. By the way, there are a lot of us overseas brides here, like ALOT. So it is definitely possible.  Hope this helps.

hi sis xylene! joining in...my h2b and I, are both overseas as well. getting Married on Oct 29,2016 for the first time (in church) and engaged since November 2016, started wedding preps last December!

It is possible. Like majority of sissies here, I only booked OTD COOR. I paid my suppliers via online bank transfer. And, would you believe I had my food tasting two months after I paid my DP  ( only, with all the help of backreading in GT and /or online researching.)

We will start the church requirements by next month due to 6mos. validity.  We will be in Ph for a week in Ph on July for church requirements, prenup and clothing then 5days before the wedding!

So, I guess all thing's possible! happy preps!

May mga docs po ba na kelangan na ayusin habang nandito?

Dilemma ko rin kung saan ba mas ok magpatahi ng gown. Iniisip ko kasi pag dito naman magpapatahi ng gown at least mamomonitor mo yung progress ng gown mo in person whereas kung sa pinas, i-squeeze sa bakasyon ang fittings etc.
