^^ That's what we did,  although for a different purpose naman. We had our civil union in a wedding chapel June of last year. And June of this year we will have our church wedding. We don't need to apply for a marriage license provided that we had registered our civil wedding sa Philippine consulate para may copy ang NSO also known as report of marriage outside the Philippines.  The pros would be that we don't have to apply for a marriage license.  We also don't have to apply for the release of marriage banns kasi we are already married. But we still have to attend the pre-marital counseling or pre-cana (which we will be taking part in next week), and the canonical interview sa Pinas as well, and the other required documents needed for a church wedding.  I would suggest  for you to inquire dun sa church kung san ikaw ikakasal. Different dioceses, different policies.

Naku grabe din problema ko sa marriage license na yan! mas mahirap pa in our case kasi I need Parental advice, and my parents are also here in dubai. So pano?

Question mga sis sa Pre Cana, yung mga mag pre-cana dito, pinadala nyo ba kaagad sa pinas yung certificate? Diba yan na din yung ipe-present to get Marriage License?

^Hi sis shygirlme  Actually gift daw ng tita ko samen ang photobooth but I told her ako na lang maghahanap kasi yung nakuha nya for my other cousin last dec. is from manila pa, someone related sa hubby nya so she ended up na nahiya magpa discount then medyo fail pa sa bagal yung printing nila so I told her para No OOT fee mas makakamura kame if south-based na lang.

I scouted na, 4k yung nakita ko na okay sa Tagaytay. May 3500 na tie up yung OTD coor ko but no sample or fb page given since ofcourse, may patong sya. Waiting pa ko sa rate ng kapitbahay ng other tita  and yung mismo neybor nya ang ooperate,ang worry ko lang dito is since close sila and from cavite pa manggaling baka imbes na meal allowance ang iprovide ko e ipa count pa ng tita ko sa buffet e ang mahal ng per head ng Town's delight sis and also, im giving all my suppliers meal allowance so I don't want them to feel na exemption ang photobooth lalo na ng Major suppliers like band.

So yun, the budget is 4k and below. Sorry sa long response

Hi Sis Missus O!  I was just wondering, how I can get my civil marriage registered with the Philippine Consulate?  Our church wedding is on October but we did a civil ceremony last year to make it easier for us. We both live in LA.  The thing is, both of us are US Citizens (hubby was born here and I'm a naturalized citizen), so I don't know if it's even necessary to register our marriage with the consulate since we are both technically foreigners.

Which Church are you doing your pre-cana seminar in?  Does it have to be within 6 months prior to the church wedding?

^Hi sis. I am not sure what the protocol is for foreign passport holders. My hubby is a Naturalized US citizen while I still hold a Philippine passport.  I registered our marriage certificate sa Philippine Consulate in Koreatown. I brought the marriage certificate ( that was mailed to you from the LA county clerk's office).  If you have dual citizenship, maybe you can pass it there as well. If not, better ask your parish. Baka pwedi na yung marriage certificate nyo from here since both naman kayo na foreign passport holders and you are already married.  Check the Philippine consul website for the requirements.

Regarding the Pre-cana, we will have it on the 19th  of March at St. Catherine of Sienna in Reseda.  Call your parish regarding this. St. Catherine's is not our parish but that is the nearest parish that will facilitate the pre-cana before our wedding in June.  Naka schedule kasi sila per church per area yata. Kaya if you don't live in the Valley area, just call your parish para ma advice nila kayo as kung kelan yung next na pre-marital seminar / course and kung saan pinaka malapit sa inyo. I think I'm gonna schedule with St. Catherine na din, we also live in the valley! Neighbors pala tayo. We live in Porter Ranch, so our parish is St. John of Eudes but I'm not sure if they do it there.  Does the pre-cana have to be within 6 months of the wedding? Or pwede kaya before?  Kasi I can possibly schedule March 19th too para we can go and do the pre-cana with you guys.

Sis vhena, yung iba ang ginagawa, nagpapa civil muna abroad. mas madali daw eh. actually naisip ko din un, to save us the hassle, kaya lang conservative si h2b and family ko.

INC po kasi kami, so civil marriage is not an option...

For UAE brides, any ideas sa pwede bilhen from here?I want to start DIY-ing na sama for wrapping them or do some cut outs para I can utilize my time during days off from work.

^ HI sis, overseas bride here as well.  For our guests, we will be giving away tote bags which I made. We also bought some mini Japanese sake sets for our principal sponsors.  We DIYed our invitations, our souvenirs and some wine bottles as extra table top accompaniments. hehe.. We've just sent them yesterday to hopefully arrive last week if April in Manila. Our church wedding will be in June.

mga sis kong overseas bride din... dahil sa taas ng anxiety ko sa marriage license, sumugod na ko kanina sa City Hall  so ayun nakakuha na ko ng application form, papapirmahan ko nalng ke hubby pagbalik ko sa Saudi, then dapat ipanotaryo duon sa Consulate natin then ipabalik ang papers for filing na, eto ang requirements:
Sa mga nagtatanong po ng Requirements for Application of Marriage License, kinuha ko kanina sa QC Hall, lalo na sa mga overseas:
1. NSO or Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate or Baptismal
   (If widowed, CTC of Death Certificate of demise spouse, If annulled, copy of Court Decision and Absolute Decree of Finality from the court)
2. Cedula of both applicants
3. One ID photo of each applicant
4. 25 yrs old and above -Family Planning only - Health Department OFFice
    24 yrs old below - Family Planning and Counselling - Health Deve office, Social Services and Dev DEp
5. CENOMAR from NSO
   
   Application form ---- 50php
   Filing fee ------------  100php
   Marriage License ---  100php

   If applicant is Foreigner:
1. Photocopy of Passport (showing data and date of arrival)
2. Certificate of LEGAL CAPACITY TO MARRY, Issued by their respective Consular or Diplomatic Official
3. If divorced, copy of Final Decree of Absolute Divorce
4. Certificate of Family Planning & marriage Counseling and Responsible Parenthood.

NOTES:
   Parent's Consent (18-20 yrs old)
   Parent's Advice  (21-24 yrs old)
   One of the applicant must be resident of the place where they will apply for the marriage license
   The marriage license will be issued on the 11th day after the 10-day posting period upon submission of the application for marriage license. License expires 120 days from the date license was issued.

Hi mga sis! I went home to manila last week, and natapos na namin ang precana seminar, canonical interview and marriage license application. yehey! mom ko na magclaim nung license. so publication of marriage banns nalang kulang namin, magstart kami nun after holy week. done with my 2nd fitting and nagulat ako na almost done na ang gown ko, kahit june pa ang wedding. 2 fittings left for me. super efficient talaga ng staff ni Cecilio Abad. Saka yung gown ko, ang gaan lang nya, wala ding stick bones sa corset kaya comfy.

Hi mga sis! For those of you who have already applied for marriage license, isn't it required magsubmit ng cedula? For those who requested a cedula, since nagwwork tayo abroad, ano sinulat niyo sa "profession/occupation/business"? Alam ko mura lang talaga sinisingil nila sa cedula but concern ko lang na baka kapag sinulat ko OFW eh singilin ako ng mas mahal when in fact tayong based abroad are exempted from tax in the first place.

Hello mga sis! Ask ko lang kung my benefits/pros pag kinasal sa civil sa ibang bansa?
Hindi ko kasi alam kung magpakasal pa muna kami this year here sa Milan sa Philippine Consulate then church next year sa Pinas.
Kasi kung wala din naman iniisip namin magpakasal nalang sa atin sa church para isang kasalan lang
