Whatcha think about this situation
« on: March 22, 2013, 11:35:33 pm »
2 weeks ago, I recently resigned from an IT/BPO firm. During my stay with the company for almost 6 years, I've met a guy and we've been super close until I've fallen for him (but that's the other side of the story). :P
He eventually became my teammate then he became my immediate lead afterwards.

On my last day of work, he barely spoke to me. I don't why. When I ask him about why he wasn't talking to me, he just reasoned that he's not feeling well that day. But I know he's just making an excuse because I heard him chatting with one of our teammates. He barely made any communication to me during that day and up until this day, no paramdam...call/text/FB.

So, what's your assessment to this situation?

Which part of "I am not feeling well today." did you not understand?

Ang girls talaga, ang hilig-hilig mag hanap ng hidden meanings. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

background of the situation was too short. but if you felt that your relationship with him changed when you left the company and he didn't bother to communicate at all, I don't think he was not feeling well only that day.... but would like to imply that he is not in the mood to talk to you... anymore.

if you really want to know further, why don't you make a move to talk to him again?  if he refuses, then let it be and move on.

sometimes, guys prefer to make excuses not to hurt girl's feelings. but if you were friends or more than that (mutual feelings), you at least deserve an explanation from him.

Were you in a formal relationship with him?

Kung walang paramdam until now, I would just think that he is not interested in you.  He WAS probably interested nung mag teammates kayo and perhaps it was just convenient to hook up with you since nasa office karin, no need to go out of his way on a daily basis.

Now na paalis ka na, and ganun lang sya, then he probably is just moving on to another team mate who can be convenient to be with.

@Mr Punch: Nope. We're good friends...maybe we were special friends then.

Anyweis, here's the update: He's already in a relationship with a girl which I haven't heard him talked about. I was the last person to know about this girl to think we're the closest. So I guess, kaya di na siya nagpaparamdam sa akin after I left the company is that he's seeing this girl.
I did try to reach out like texting him, making casual kamusta pero he seems aloof at safe ang mga sagot which is hindi naman ganon siya dati sa akin.

So now I know, I guess the friendship is not worth to fight for na kasi feeling ko ako lang ang gustong sumalba ng friendship eh.

Well, his attitude on the your last day at the office implied that it is also the end of whatever you have .
He probably not want you to expect more so ipinaramdam na nya na hanggang doon lang. So , you are right ,it's a friendship not worth saving.

i agree maybe whatever he showed is just in-the-meantime thing. You know naman may mga instances na ganyan sa mga BPOs. hooking up, then pag resigned/termed na, ganun na din yung status ng relationship.
thing is, don't keep your hopes high, with that kind of attitude baka nga hanggang dun nalang  :-\

pero the sad thing is why can he not tell daydreamer the real score right from the start.  baka dati nakikipagflirt sya sa maraming girls. and eventually nagkaron ng gf, kaya yung ibang girls naiwan sa ere, ni hindi man lang nya sinabi na may gf na sya para di na nanghuhula nang ganyan.

if you ask me, he is a jerk.

Maybe you have a low Q.A score that's why he doesnt talk to you. 8)
 lol just kiddin'  ;)

Anyway, you've fallen inlove with him, has he fallen inlove with you too?
Maybe its because of the fact that its your last day and he will not have the chance to see you everyday na. Maybe because he will miss you alot or maybe because the two of you have some unfinished business about your feelings .

then again, these are all maybes.  8)

Thanks for the response guys.
I just want to see different takes on the situation. :)

So my question now for guys out there..let's say a girl who happens to be your closest friend fell for you...
Would you be awkward towards her after feeling/assuming that she has feelings for you (based maybe sa actions ng girl or perhaps treatment? but take note that she never confessed it infront of you)
How would you react?
Would you still be considering to continue your friendship with her?

I would like to define "closest" in this situation
- Goes on dinner/drinks/shopping/movies as in 2 lang sila.
- May touchy feeling paminsan minsan
- Buying expensive gifts for each other
- Sleeping at the guy's place
- Tells some things/secrets which only limited people know.

I read a thread somewhere here in GT about the pseudo-relationship/meantime girl and I can so relate to that situation.
Crossing that very gray thin line of friendship and relationship which of course, didn't worked out.
So, why do some people let the pseudo relationship happen even if one of the parties involved sense that something might is going happen?
