^Oo nga pero dapat best foot forward sila sa foodtasting since that is what they will be inevitably judged on by potential clients. Sila pa nga pinakamasipag magpaFT. But they need so much improvement if they want to charge that rate.

My personal experience with Hizon's was during a corporate event, company Christmas party namin yun few years back. The foods were forgettable, I actually felt sorry for the company kasi we were a thousand I think kasi lahat ng sites and accounts/departments andun. I won't forget the fish fillet na super tigas and the rest walang lasa for me, nanghinayang ako sa nagastos ng office. Good thing they had San Miguel on the venue so uminom na lang ako at nag enjoy. Fast forward to 2014, my husband attended their FT for our wedding preps, he said super busog siya kasi generous servings pero so so lang ang lasa, what he liked daw eh yung desserts. Yan lang feedback nya sakin. I know marami silang satisfied clients and that's good. Hit and miss lang din talaga siguro and unfortunately they were a miss for us.

OMG ano itong mga nababasa ko? (>﹏<) Siguro iba-iba lang talaga tayo ng panlasa. Ako kasi if I had not booked another caterer e I'll go for Hizon's. My bestfriend & I attended their FT during a WeddingsTV expo last month & nabusog kami sa food nila di na kami nakapunta sa FT ng VS&F. I agree na natutong nga yung parang fried rice. Masarap naman for me yung grilled chicken & vegetable salad nila. The orange chicken is tough & ayoko ng may bean sprouts or toge(?) sa menu. My AE naman suggested na I opt for a different vegetable dish (farm fresh picks yata tawag dun) kasi yun ang best-seller nila. Sa desserts naman, di rin ako naImpress sa strawberry shortcake nila but my bestfriend & I are "fighting" over the creme brulee kasi masarap ito, IMO. Ang ayoko lang din sa Hizon's e mahirap pumili ng styling for the table, di sila flexible. May instance kasi na I want the vase from this theme/motif pero my AE says di raw pwede mag-interchange dun. Tapos they're no longer offering ghost chairs for VIP kasi mahal daw ang pagTransport sa mga yun, that's according to my AE ha...

How much ba their rate per head?

^ dun sa paper nung FT ni hubby sis nung time ng preps namin ng 2014, parang P980 per head as far as I can remember then dami inoffer na freebies sa kanya. I'm not sure lang if that's the lowest package they offer and if yun pa din rate until now.

Based on quote nung AE sakin mga 1100 or 1200 per head yun. Ang lupet lang talaga. Lasang 200/head haha sorry.

Seriously?!? Crap. I didn't think they cost that much since naka-package sila sa Oasis! I thought they were around 800-900! They're even so-so for that rate, forgivable pa. Pero 1100-1200? Yikes.

^Ah baka they have cheaper packages sis but this is what they gave me eh. Kaya nga in my review i specifically said please do an FT with Center Table or Juan Carlo if you have this kind of budget--- kasi the food is gonna be way way better and hindi mukhang cheap styling ni Center Table hehe

I super agree with you sis sparklingjewel. Kung ganyan lang din ang price range ni Hizon's much better try OTHER caterers. I would not reccommend Hizon's talaga. At first kala mo okay, kasi dami freebies. Oh well, marketing strategy lang yun at may "name" na sila eh. Pero as for the food and set-up? It's a no no. Not worth it.

Again, we do all have our own preferences.

Same rate pala halos with K by Cunanan.. And mga sis.. choose na lang the menu properly.. im sure maiimprove yan if sasabihin sa hizon's yung mga feedback.
No-no talaga yung togue sa kasal.. kinakain ko yun sa carinderia madalas.. (rememiscing) i have nothing against it kase favorite ko yun pero di ko ineexpect na makita sa wedding kasi.. this is just my opinion. I hope walang magdamdam.
(maaring nagkakamali ako at side dish lang pala sya..) our guests deserve something special naman din since they'd be spending 8 hrs of their day with us..

When i attended their food tasting last year, my AE then told me na what they're serving are their best sellers daw. Ang naalala ko na dishes were thrice-cooked pork belly aka lechon kawali, chicken sambal (similar to don henrico's buffalo wings), fish fillet. Nagulat ako kasi mas masarap pa catered food sa work whenever we have conferences. No offense to hizon's brides. And yeah, about their rates, same sila with k by cunanan. I think they have this buffet package na 1600 per head pa nga e. Siguro ok ang hizon's if they don't charge that much.

Medyo natakot ako for our wedding since we got hizons as our caterer.,

Siguro we need to inform hizons about the feedback and need talaga pumili ng food na for wedding event.

Our hizons rate is ranging to 800-900 lang, i think yung 1200 is with there lasagna, and madaming appetizers.

Kami kasi 1 lang, tapos pica pica na lang na kami ang mag provide.

As per the AE who assisted us in yesterday's grand food tasting, wala raw silang specific package.  They can customize depending on your budget.  So nagbigay lang kami ng budget namin then saka sila nagbigay ng proposal.

Yesterday's food tasting was ok naman.  May foods na ok, merong so so lang.  So for us, pwede na silang i-consider.  Sakto ang theme nung food tasting nila, yun din theme namin (more or less) so medyo ok naman for us yung styling.

joining this thread! mga sis plain rice lang para sigurado? HAHAHA! sana naman yun hindi tutong rice.. ayusin naman nila ano ba yun.. Hizon's din ako as part of Oasis' package.. sana maging okay, wala pa kaming detailing since too early pa raw for Nov

We will be having our initial food tasting with them tom sa bridal fair. We'll see. I never thought dami pala neg reviews about them.

My h2b and I attended their grand food tasting kanina sa Themes N Motifs Bridal Fair and sadly, hindi naman nagustuhan most of the food. Very ordinary lang yust taste for us. Parang 1 or 2 lang ang nagustuhan namin. Super nadisappoint kami ni h2b.

hi Hizons brides!! may i know kung dapat ba talaga atleast 4 months before event date ang detailing? sabi kasi sa amin, since ber months na raw, okay lang daw ba na sa january na ang detailing namin. di ko pa alam kung ano exactly ang "detailing" na yun. so after back reading, i found out na medyo critical pala ito lalo pa at may mga AEs na di kagad nagrereply sa clients. okay lang kaya kung january ang detailing namin tapos february ang wedding? yung mapapag usapan ba sa isang detailing session ay super final na kagad?

^i think yung 4 mosns before your wedding date is abit far pa kasi baka mag bago pa yung mind mo sa mga motif, sa cloth na gagamitin sa flowers.
Pero if sure kana sa colors, theme mo, okay naman ang 4 mons.
I did my final detailing and food tasting 2mons before, as in final.

Btw im hozons brode and as per our guest, nasarapan sila sa food. Sabi ng officemates and friends ko, simot daw at nag round 2 pa sila.

^yey! thanks sis maukris! siguro pag nag advise na si hizons kung sino planner namin, pa-set ko na lang din kagad kahit end of november. medyo busy na kasi lahat ng december. january naman start of the year, busy na ulit sa work. tapos february, wedding month na! pwede kaya magdetailing during  food tasting? or separate date dapat ito at sa office nila gaganapin? sana okay naman yung planner na maassign samin.
