Hizon's brides! Kelan po kayo nag detailing? My wedding is on November pa and gusto ko sana magpa sched with the assigned events planner nila (phoebe) but it seems deadma lang ako sa kanya. Dahil kaya matagal pa wedding day ko?

Sis florencejoy ako din si phoebe ginagawa ko tinatawagan ko sya, tapos nag sosorry naman agad pag di nagrereply. October naman ang wedding ko. Sinabihan ko din sya na sana maintindihan nya nakaya maaga pal lang inaayos ko na kasi overseas nag wowork si h2b. Ayoko lang talaga ma stress kaya pag nag sorry okay na agad. Hahha

AE ko naman mabilis mag reply (within the day). But weird that Hizons doesn't have fixed buffet sets. I have asked my AE kung anong maooffer nila given my price range, but I think sa FT na lang namin ddiscuss to. Ganito ba talaga ang set-up nila?

^ang alam ko meron sila mga list of choices per set pero sa FT kayo magddecide kung ano yung isserve during the wedding.

Fiance and I decided to ft rin sa Hizon's before. And this will be a completely honest review so bear with me--- i don't know why they would even charge me 1100/head for that. Juan Carlo and Center Table have so much better food for the same cost. We have since booked another caterer (none of the ones i said) and upgraded the food.
I thought hizon's is reputable but i was just super disappointed. The only ft na hindi kami nabusog.

The AE was nice and clear kausap pero the food just speaks for itself.
Peach mango salad was fine, the grilled veggie salad with feta was't.
Celery soup was so-so pero hindi pangwedding lalo na yung itsura; truffled mushroom soup was so-so din. Both were too salty for our taste
Shitake mushroom Fried rice - more like tutong rice, it was so hard i couldn't even chew it. Di namin nakain. Who messes up rice!?
Beef salpicao - the only main dish we liked, it tasted like salpicao naman pero slightly panget yung parts of beef used
Orange chicken - fake orange taste yung sauce and matigas chicken
Chicken sambal - nothing too exciting, a bit spicy... and thats it.
Herbed crusted fish fillet - Matigas fish, the honey mustard sauce is the fake/ cheap kind
Linguine with red sauce - halos the only thing i was able to eat. Decent, but not delicious.
Strawberry cake - driest sponge cake i have ever tasted, and walang lasa. I think i can make a better cake at home...
Flourless chocolate cake - Umm, don't even. Weird...i cant describe what it was like, pero weird consistency. And i like anything chocolate.

In summary, it was far from satisfying, and even farther from impressive. I would not want guests to remember this about my wedding.

If you have the same budget as i did initially (1000-1300 per head), please, please do yourself a favor and schedule a foodtasting with Juan Carlo and Center Table. For even better food (steak and salmon, seabass level) and budgets, please check K by Cunanan and Bizu.

^Sis, Hizon's naman is not completely bad. When we went for food tasting, I was more impressed with them than with Josiah's. I felt their flavours stood out more and they're not stingy with food. Ang worrisome lang siguro, hindi sila consistent with the quality of food. The texture of their meat hung GFT was tough, pero okay naman nung nag-attend kami ng debut na sila yung nag-cater. During the GFT, we liked their desserts, pero sa debut - blech.

I think all in all, they were just okay.

Hello mga sis.

Another honest review about Hizon's. Sana po tanggapin nyo ng maluwag itong review ko.

Recently, my fiance & I attended their GFT at 38 Valencia Events Place.

At first, I was impressed with the events place. Kasi maganda pala dun and well maintained so I was expecting na maganda yung set up nila sa loob. Then I looked for the table set up & backdrop and I found out that it was just so-so, basic only, nothing special in my eyes.

Second, during the FT, ilang beses ko pinatawag yung nakausap kong AE to assist us or to discuss with us kung ano man yung packages nila or so. And the problem was, since madami rin um-attend that time, tingin ko hirap silang i-accommodate yung no. of guests. So sobrang tagal bago namin na-meet yung AE. We decided to taste the food nalang.

Third, the most important part -- the FOOD. From the appetizer they served, wala ako masyado nagustuhan. Maayos naman sa presentation, but the flavors doesn't satisfied my tastebuds. Vegetable salad, masarap yung grilled something (di ko maalala yung name), pero eto nalang yung naaalala kong masarap. Then we went to their buffet section & pasta section. Si h2b ang very active sa pagsagot ng form regarding how it tasted, since sya yung mahilig magluto saming dalawa. To make this short, hindi pumasa sa panlasa namin yung mga food nila. Laging may kulang sa flavors. Also the desserts, sobrang hilig ko pa man din sa desserts, wala talaga akong nagustuhan, in my eyes, ang cheap lang tignan, not mouthwatering.

About our AE, after namin kumain, kung hindi ko pa ipapatawag, baka hindi nya kami siguro lalapitan. Then there it is, finally, kinausap na kami. Okay naman syang kausap, maayos din nyang nasagot mga queries namin. So okay lang. But still, not satisfied since ang tagal bago nya kami na-assist.

Overall, ayaw namin kay Hizon's. Since food ang isa sa mga hindi makakalimutan ng mga guests, I don't want to hear anything from them that they are not happy and not satisified with what they have in their plates.
Also, with that kind of food, not worth it kung ganun man yung price nila per head.
May iba akong napuntahan na FT na mas mura pa kay Hizon's na talagang masasabi kong masarap ang food and really worthy.

Anyway, this is just a review from me. And we do all have our own preferences.

For hizon b2b's, maybe, choose the menu wisely. Di ko rin kase nagustuhan yung food during my cousin in law's wedding.. I had my ft with KbyC few days before kaya nacompare ko yung 2.. pero feeling ko talaga dahil yun sa food choices ng couple.. if I'll describe it, parang "hindi fit for a wedding" ang food na sinerve o pinili. Wala ding "wow" factor. I remember kase my cousin super proud sya when we're talking about her caterer kaya ni-look forward ko talaga yung food sa kasal pero medyo disappointed ako after

^belle_v2g you're spot on! Actually kaya ko pinost yung mga food mismo we tasted para mas totoo yung review ko. And yan din observation namin, uhhh ano ba to. Wedding reception food ba to?! E mas masarap pa yung usual everyday food natin dito. Haha. I dont know what else they have, pero yan lang natikman ko kasi. And its so FARRRR from satisfactory, esp for a wedding. I can't believe they ruined the rice (di makaget over hahahahaha) i mean who cant cook rice!? Tutong talaga yung buong 2 servings.

I remember 1 particular dish.. parang sautéed bean sprouts.. i cook that myself kaya siguro nasabi kong parang hindi pang wedding yung menu na napili.. Yung ibang dish di rin nag iwan ng distinct taste kaya di ko na rin matandaan kung ano ano. Same feedback from my hubby.

^I agree with you sis belle_v2g. Kumbaga walang kick yung mga foods nila. Kaya tingin ko tuloy overpriced sila.
