Budget allotment for your child's 1st birthday

^^My daughter loves watching her 1st birthday video too. Sure she won't really remember it but kaya nga ido-document mo cus it's an important milestone in her life. And I agree na price is relative for people. Kaya talagang each to his own lang naman yan.

mabuti nalang, I decided to have a video coverage for my son's 1st birthday, nung una kasi photo coverage lang ang kinuha ko. I'm sure pag laki niya, everytime mapapanood nya magiging masaya din sya like your babies

I also disagree na pang show off lang ng parents if they spend sa birthday ng kids nila. Maybe for others, but not for all.

For me, as long as hindi ka nangutang para sa bday ng anak mo,  go lang, if doon ka masaya.

kami ni hubby, even before kami magpakasal, naplano na namin na ang 1st bday ng anak namin would be a big party. So meron talagang nakalaan na funds for that. We also plan of having only 1 child kaya lahat ng kaya namin binibigay na talaga namin.

We spent 6 digits sa 1st bday ng daughter namin, and its not to show off. Yun kasi talaga gusto namin, doon kami masaya. No regrets.

makiki-agree na din ako kanya-kanyang preference yan eh, at korek na relative naman ang gastos sa tao. di porke gumastos ang parents ng more than 10k eh automatically label them na show off, i think that's unfair..of course it's just a kiddie party, but it's MY kid's bday party...i have 2 kids, first bday nila parehong 6 digits gastos namin...why? dahil masaya kaming gastusan dahil ANAK namin yun, kumbaga pinaka-importanteng tao sa amin ng husband ko...i also agree na ok lang yun as long as di ka naman nangutang, di ka nanghingi, di kayo naghirap at walang naperwisyong tao para lang maidaos ang bday ng anak mo..iba kasi pag anak na pinag-uusapan, gusto mo ibigay lahat ng "best"

Mabalik tayo sa budget allotment, initially we budgeted 100k pero ngayon, habang papalapit ng papalapit lumalaki gastos, nsa 150k na, pero okay lang basta para kay baby

Next year pa 1st birthday ng baby namin. We are allotting 30k budget for this event. With that budget, most probably sa fastfood place ang celebration. We are choosing between Jollibee, McDO or Shakeys.

Hi mga sis!

I'm planning to raise to 70k for my daughter's first birthday.
Sa September pa naman kaya, todo kayod. Balak ko din mag DIY para makatipid para mas malayo marating ng money namin ni hubby. First child namin eh kaya excited.

Nakakaloka. Wala sana kami balak magparty for our daughter's first birthday. Kasi we had a nice binyag na when she was almost 4mos. We initially planned for an outreach activity/party na lang sana for her birthday.

But now, looks like we have to have a party na. Pressure from family, friends, etc. First baby kasi namin and it took us a couple of years bago nagka-baby kaya parang all the people around us e nage-expect ng party, kahit simple lang.

So yun, ngaragan blues ako ngayon. I have about 4mos to prepare. Wala pa ako idea how to go about this. First-time mom din e.

On-topic, we spent about 200k for her binyag so malamang around that amount din for her 1st birthday. Pero 50k siguro jan ia-allot ko for the orphanage party.

We spent around 113k for our daughter's baptism/1st birthday back in 2011. Hindi kasama yung gastos sa gas to check the venue, talk to suppliers.  Then my mom and aunts gave money for the other party supplies and lechon pa. Kaya ganun kalaki ang gastos kasi sinabay naman na yung 2 occasions and only child siya. Ginawang excuse no?  We initially agreed on spending 50k-60k lang pero nagballoon sa dami ng ideas ng family. It was worth it because now our daughter would look at her birthday pictures and sometimes she would mention that she had this and that during her 1st birthday. Naappreciate niya and everyone was happy. For her 2nd and 3rd birthday parties, we spent 40k-50k. For the next birthdays, less than 10k na lang kasi school parties. Let's see sa 7th birthday. Kinakabahan na ako.

In 2012, I spent 80k+ for my eldest son's first birthday party at shakey's good for 150 persons.

This year hindi ko na alam kung magkano iaallocate kong budget for my youngest son first birthday good for 80 persons lang this time.. Hoping kasya na 100k..

Back in 2010, we spent 200k+ for our daughter's 1st bday and until now, she enjoys watching the video. Lahat sulit. She's 4yo now and she enjoys listening to stories about her when she was younger. For her 2nd to 3rd bday, we didnt have a video coverage kaya medyo nagsisi ako. So sa 4th bday nya, kumuha na kami ulit. We spent 80k average for her 2nd-4th bday. Sya lang ang bata sa immediate family namin kaya her dad enjoys having parties kasi it's a mini reunion and get together na din ng family. And we are just thankful for her life because my birth story was a bit traumatic. So every year, we just want to celebrate her life. 

From her second bday, sya na pumili ng theme. Syempre natwetweak ko ng kaonti. Hehe. Ambilis ng panahon. She's turning 5 na this year. And party planning mode again for us

I think we should really set aside for our babies' first birthday.  As respect for someone close to us who just passed, we decided to have a simple, fun and elegant birthday party.  Not too festive since we are still mourning.
