Budget allotment for your child's 1st birthday

ask ko lang kasama po ba sa food sa catering yung mga suppliers I mean yung mga taga photobooth, mga magicians, dapat ko ba sila isama sa bilang ng plates? if not ano po yung ipapakain sa kanila at obligado ba kami na pakainin sila? TIA

hi sis joevicko, yes isama mo sila sa headcount. yung sa photobooth namin kasama sa contract na dapat provide ang host ng food especially kung 3-4 hours na photobooth ang kunin mong service. buti nalang may extra food during my son's birthday. di ko alam marami pala kasama yung clown, magician na kinuha namin. sila rin [textspeak!] provide backdrop.  so yung nag set up plus 2 clowns and 2 magicians, host, one photographer, 2 for the photobooth ... dapat may pasobra ka good for  10 pax :-)

aah ganun ba, thanks sis rizza1222 sa pagadvise. hehe madami dami din pala ako isasama sa bilang ng cater. yung sis ko sabi is kahit di isama sa cater kasi di need naman umupo sa table. bili na lang daw ng chowking lauriat or meal sa mcdo kasi pag sa cater parang 550/head mabigat din hehe (nagkukuripot)

^sis ang mga waiters or yung mga tao sa catering they eat na prior kagad bago pa mag start ang event mo or after they finish the set up. sagot na ng catering company ang food nila.

^^provide lang naman ng meal sis d kailangan na isama sa # of pax sa catering contract. Ask mo sis caterer mo baka may crew meal sila mas mura yan kasi. Pwede rin na mag-order sa iba or sa fastfood. Ok naman na magkuripot ka sis at mahal na lahat ngayon

ako siguro mag-provide na lang ng meal for them pero di ko na isasama sa headcount..parang masakit na sa bulsa kung nasa more than 10 sila tapos nasa 850/pax ang icha-charge sa akin..not sure din kasi kung gaano kastrict sa venue namin now, unlike nung 1st bday ng son ko na nakakain sa buffet yung mga suppliers ko pero no more additional charge sa amin since sobra naman ang food that time..i think ok lang naman yun, what's important is mag-provide ng food for them para di naman sila magutom

yep, ganun na lang siguro gagawin namin buy na lang kami ng packed meal para sa mga suppliers kasi binilang ko lagpas 10 sila. thanks sa mga advises, now lang talaga kasi ako literal magpaparty for my son. super excited na ko hehe

hi mga sis. My son's 1st birthday would be on Jan 30, 2014 pero I'm still torn with the following themes:

1. Disney Cars (baby loves cars, kaya lang feeling ko medyo common na theme ito)
2. Despicable Me Minions (wala lang, I just like this)
3. Safari (since sa backyard namin gagawin, parang ok siya)

Any suggestions mga sis alin ang easiest dito? I have only 1 month to prepare and wala pa ko nasisimulan.

^ sis, go with what your son likes. di ka mahihirapan sa prizes, keber kung common na. masaya pa anak mo.

we were way over our budget (breakdown of expenses posted sa kabilang thread)..comment from one of the guests- para daw kaming nagpa-debut na..and since over na sa budget, we decided not to avail the crew meal na, coz sabi ni hubby pakainin na lang sa buffet yung mga crew, anyway, may 10% buffer naman sa food..i got worried pa coz some of the invited guests andaming bitbit while some of the people na na-crosss out namin sa list because nagsabi na di makakapunta aba ayun present din, merong ding mga last minute nagtext kay hubby na pwede daw bang magsama pa, parang di ata nila alam na per head ang bayad imagine, 750/adult ang bayad, pati kapitbahay isinama waaah good thing there was enough food pa din,  may sobra pa kaming naiuwi i guess nakatulong ang food carts and the dessert buffet haha, di sila masyadong gutom

charming sistah - we had veg salad, beef alexander, chicken cordon bleu,  fish fillet, pasta, buko pandan jelly and iced tea. that's for merienda.

Ok. I think im the only one who would not spend more than 10,000 for a kids bday party. On my point of view, its a kids birthday. Its not a debut. Its not a wedding. He/she will not even remember it. Realistically, its just a way parents show off.

Kaya yan sis nasa diskarte lang yan. Me nga I will just spend around 30k for 70 people. So let's see. Sana lang di ako mag over budget dami gastos eh!

^^kanya-kanyang trip lang naman yan kahit show off or kahit pa world crisis ang theme basta kung saan masaya ang parents wala naman kaso. Mayroon nga wedding reception na fastfood so kahit wedding reception pwede ang 10k.

I don't think parents who spend more for their kids birthdays are automatically a show off. If you have the money for it and hinde mo naman ipanghihingi or ipapangutang, why not. Everyone wants the best for their kids. Most of my friends na nagpa-party ng bongga, nahirapan magka-anak so it was their way of giving thanks for their miracle of life. Kesehoda pang 1M ang gastusin nila, pera naman nila yon.

I spent 60k for my daughter's 1st birthday in 2011. It was a Shakey's party for 110 people.

^ agree. it took us 3yrs to have a son. so we made sure to have a memorable day for us & our family to celebrate his milestone.

our son watches his birthday video everyday and smiles while watching it. so the video expense for me was worth it, no worries even if i spent 12k which may be a big expense to others.

tsaka ang gastos naman relative yan. what maybe expensive to you is not expensive to others. what may be frugal to you kahit 10k ay expensive pa rin sa iba.
