Lagi kaming nasa kwarto nun, then natutunan ko side lying, so kapag gabi ganun position namin, so di na ako nun napupuyat.

Having 2 purely breastfed kids and a mixed-fed baby, I can say pareho Lang ang pagod. More effort pa nga pag formula cause you have to stand up, wash your hands, magtakal ng gatas at ng tubig. With breastfeeding, all you have to do is hike up your shirt and let the baby latch. Puyat on the first few weeks ni baby is not exclusive to breastfed ones. Halos lahat ng bata ganon, breastfed man o hindi. Tama si chofontanilla try to get support from people around you. When the baby is wide awake at away naman mag breastfeed, let someone take care of him/her while you catch on sleep. And yes, try mastering too the side lying position. Once you know how to do this, you can just go back to sleep while your little one is feeding.

And please please don't give up breastfeeding kasi napapagod ka. Like what I said, that is normal for any new mother. just imagine your pagod from delivery + hormones acting up + round the clock taking care of the baby would surely take a toll on your physical well being. It will be up to you on how you manage that. Ask your OB if you can continue taking your prenatal vitamins.

Sabi nga my husband if he knew that breastfeeding would be easier, he would have supported me with my efforts with our first child. Nagpadala kasi ako sa pagod and doubts, so I wasn't able to breastfeed my eldest that long.

Di hiyang ang katawan ko may it be injectable or not so ang bleeding ko di tumitigil at heavy.

Can't figure out how to get link of Mommy Treat's photo so I'll just cut and paste here:

Yawn. It's 1:30am and you're still adjusting to nursing your baby at this time? Here's a little motivation.

You're doing great momma

(also, if you haven't discovered the convenience and beauty of the side-lying position, here's a quick video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGfOXznZTU0)

======
Last summer the maid and the yaya went for a vacation. I had to take care a 5yo, a 2yo and a 6mo. The youngest 2 are both breastfeeding. If formula-fed sila mas maloloka ako kasi idadagdag ko pa paghugas at sterilize ng bote with all the house chores.

^what's the connection? I'm not questioning your decision to give your kid formula.

all that i am saying, between breastfeeding and formula feeding I find breastfeeding more convenient. For me, I wouldnt have survived months without a yaya nor a maid taking care of three young kids then adding washing and sterilizing to all the household chores. My eldest was formula-fed so I know how tedious the process of feeding (from cleaning to milk prep) your baby with it. I'm just stating the convenience of breastfeeding.

Like what I said: Puyat is not exclusive to breastfed babies. Kahit with formula-fed, mapupuyat ka at one point or another.

mas nakakapuyat mag formula feed, I think because for infants, you need to get up to actually get the bottle, put in the formula, water, mix and feed. hahawakan mo pa yung bottle for the baby.

pag breastfeeding, lift up your shirt and go. you can sleep pa. honestly, my nephews were formula fed from the get go and walang katapusang reklamo ang SIL ko na shifting sila sa gabi plus the yaya, and they have the never ending job of cleaning, sterilizing and preparing bottles. I never understood that talaga because I fed my kid and managed to sleep. ang yabang ko lang kasi hindi ako puyat, LOL. pati yaya ko relaxed lang.

me too, I think breastfeeding is quite convenient lalo na sa gabi, (lalo na for me kasi we co-slept with our baby) so pag antok na antok ako and she wanted milk ayun taas lang ng shrit and feed na sya easy peasy... :D

Have you tried putting breastmilk on the affected area, sis? I've just been to a BF 101 seminar and I've heard other mommies recommend this, since BM has antibacterial properties. Put breastmilk on the affected area and let it air dry, dont wipe it or wash with soap para hindi mag-dry.
If it gets worse, consult an OB (a BF-friendly OB, please. One who won't tell you to stop BFing)

Or paano nyo namamanage yun ganun?

Diba breastfeeding increases the IQ and EQ of the child? Ang ibig sabihin ba nito is dapat direct feeding si baby? or yung breastmilk lang ?
