di na masarap yung choco cake sa starbucks dry saka walang las ayung caramel filling. mas masarap yung dati...

HUHUHU. IKR! Favorite ko yung dark chocolate nila dati. Tina-take out ko pa yun palagi. I was literally devastated nung pinalitan na pala nila. Lol. I don't get the need to replace a really good tasting cake for something below mediocre! Dumb move... dumb move. LOL

^ Try the strawberry pistachio cake.  It's the only good cake now in Starbucks.  Pati pastries and cookies hindi na masarap.

this is so true. I had the strawberry pistachio cake kanina and I was thinking of your post ..buti na lang kasi i was with my sister and she ordered a different cake and she said di na nga daw masarap  gaya dati.

UCC's sanzrival is good. It's not too sweet.

^ yeah conti's! i think they have it in purple oven but i haven't tried it.

Baka nag-iba na naman ng supplier ng cakes and pastries yung Starbucks Philippines.  Dati kasi yung Purple Oven yung nagsusupply sa kanila but tinigil na a couple of years ago.  I agree na di na worth it yung cakes sa Starbucks, mas masarap na dumiretso na lang sa Purple Oven or Conti's.

Just had a taste of polly's chocolate cake and well.. Its ok. For me, para lang  kalasa ng red ribbon cakes. Masyado lang siguro naging mataas expectations ko hehe. Mas nasarapan ako sa hungrypac.

iniisip ko if i should order rodillas yema cake. baka hype lang kasi. May nakita ko P220 yung half size sa reseller...

^ Masarap naman ang Rodillas yema cake for the price but overhyped.   Masarap siya with coffee.

^ May dati akong officemate na nagsabi masarap nga yung Rodillas, but never ko pa na-try.  Pag-iniisip ko kasi parang ang tamis-tamis, baka isang slice lang yung makain ko.  But yeah, I guess coffee would counter some of the sweetness.

^ Super excited na ako for the trip to Purple Oven QC this weekend   I really hope matuloy na siya this time.  I wanna get the turtle pie and the blueberry cheesecake, been craving for these for a bit na.

ansarap nga ng purple pie sa conti's! though sana magkaroon sila nito na cheesecake version. first "turtle" i've tried is from sizzling pepper steak and it's turtle cheesecake. izz like heaven.
