^The nearer you are to the center the more expensive hotels can be. But if you are okay with taking a 10-15 minute metro ride to get to the main tourist spots you can find pretty cheap hotels at the outer arrondissements as where the hotel of letters_to_cleo was located. Just try to find a hotel that is close to a metro station and you're good to go.

If you still would want to stay right at the center, you can try the Hotel Jeanne D'Arc located at Le Marais (4eme arr.). I haven't stayed there personally but a colleague of mine did and she was happy with her stay. A double room starts at EUR81.00

my friend and I decided to find a hotel na matatanaw from our window ang eiffel  , since overnight lang naman kami sa paris

 i'll try to book again today..

^sis, what do you mean "naka-akyat"? As in used the stairs to go up the tower? Or the elevators?

both sis, ive read that its not tiring to use the stairs.. but i dont want to go up there perspiring and all (pano na ang picture taking?) kaya we'll be using the elevator na lang, konti lang naman ang diff sa price..

how's the feeling pag nasa taas na sis? maganda ba ang view? i mean, is it worth the effort?

^Definitely! The Eiffel tower is the symbol of Paris. Para ka na rin hindi nagpunta ng Paris if you don't go up the tower. 

Use the elevators and try to stand right by the glass wall and look down    I have a photo of our elevator ride in my blog. If you have the chance go up both during daylight and night time and enjoy the view. Truly worth it.

I think it's nicer to fo up the tower at night then view it from a distance when there is sunlight. mas romantic pag night time and you can see paris all lit up!

I agree, super-romantic to go up Eiffel at night (we took the elevators, I hate stairs, haha). Super-breezy pa when we went up, lalong mas romantic.. the top is medyo tiny area lang pero super love the view there. Kahit sa 2nd floor lang ok din ang view.

We didn't go up the tower   Aside from the long lines, we felt that we also got a nice view of the city already when we went up the Arc du Triomphe and Sacre Coeur.   And besides, we wanted the Eiffel Tower to be in the backgorund in our city shots, hehe

^on our very first visit to Paris, hubby and I were also turned off by the long lines. And since we were only there for the weekend, we only had a short time to see the city kaya we weren't able to go up the tower. I was so frustrated kaya I promised myself on our next trip, we have to climb the tower na.

You get a different view of the city at the top or even on the 2nd level of the tower. We have climbed the Arc du Triomphe, Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur. For me the best view of the city is still from the Eiffel Tower. Plus iba yung feeling na you are seeing the city of Paris from the Eiffel tower. Of course given na that you have to have a picture of the tower in the background. An iconic spot to take photos of the tower in the background would be at the Trocadero or at the Champ des Mars.

My trip there next month, I'll try the Tour Montparnasse for a different view of the city. AND we will  go up the Eiffel again. For me kasi, a visit to Paris is not complete without seeing or climbing La Tour Eiffel.

^ I'm a sucker for "views" so we usually go up buildings/towers if possible, hehe..

We went up Montparnasse din, we went there at night para sakto kita namin ang Eiffel while nagbi-blink ang lights nya. Also went up Notre Dame and Arc du Triomphe. Didn't go up Sacre Couer na kasi naalangan kami sa time, tapos hinabol namin show sa Moulin Rouge, ayaw namin ma-late. We even went up the dome of Pantheon sa Latin Quarter. lahat naman nagustuhan ko, hehe.. As for view with Eiffel sa background, Trocadero din best for me. We even had picnic lunch and took a nap after, sa me grassy area sa may gilid ng Trocadero. Dun kami kasi me lilim. We were there kasi ng July so summer.

On my trip, inakyat ko the Eiffel, Arc du Triomphe, and Sacre Coeur. Di ko natiyaga ang paghihintay in line to go up the Notre Dame.

Eiffel: Long lines, long waiting times, freezing when it's cold. But the view is just amazing. Definitely worth it. Plus, there's a lift.

Arc du Triomphe: A good viewing spot for seeing the Eiffel, too. No lift. All stairs. Narrow stairs.

Sacre Coeur: Dito ko nasabi sa sarili ko, "Ano ba tong pinasok ko? Napasubo ata ako dito." No lift. Only stairs. But the view is also great. Since wala masyadong tao nung nagpunta ako, I was creeped out a bit.

My exact thoughts when I climbed the Notre Dame Towers. As in claustrophobic ang dating. But definitely the view from the top was worth the 401-narrow-stone-steps-of-a-work out! And I'll do it again!

riksy, may stairs sa Arc Du Triomphe!  Pero tago siya and for old people and handicapped lang.  But they accommodate anyone kung wala naman sumasakay.

Hindi ko rin kinaya sa Notre Dame kasi may claustrophobia ako.  Even sa St. Paul's Cathedral sa London, hindi ko kinaya umakyat.
