How do you do this when you're at the office? As in nagbabaon kayo ng bottles?

Ang concern ko naman is nagrerent lang ako ng studio type na room, and i have no fridge :D kaya i have no place to store the fruits/veggies to keep it fresh.

About whether or not you should peel the skin from fruits and vegetables, I normally peel mine when I am not able to buy organic. Ingat lang kasi sa juice because while it's true that you absorb nutrients more quickly, it is also true that you absorb the chemicals and pesticides applied to the fruit more quickly also with juice. So kung hindi kayo sure sa source ng fruits and veggies, best to peel it.

With hurom, ok lang kung hindi peeled fruits and veggies, dadaan pa rin yan sa juicer, wag lang yung matitigas na balat like pineapple.

If you're going to do juicing as a business, peel all fruits and vegetables so that your juice will last longer and walang danger na may mahalong bacteria sa juice ninyo that could lead to spoilage later on.

@green-aholic, according to Hurom main office, the HH series is already their 2nd generation juicer and should give more juice. I don't have any other juicer to compare but I'm quite happy, the pulp is almost dry lalo na yun mga leafy veggies.

To clarify, here is the breakdown of our 2-liter fruit & veggie combo:

Carrots - 2 kilos
Green apple - 3 pcs
Orange - 2 pcs
Pineapple - 1 medium size
ginger - 1 inch
garlic - 4 cloves

Yes, magastos maging healthy :) and can be time consuming to prepare and clean after, imagine cutting 2 kilos of carrots hehe.  The good side is for some you don't need to peel the skin like carrots & cucumber. Tama si sis Maita, as much as possible, buy organic.  If not, rinse well with veggie wash or babad muna with vinegar + sea salt for 15mins then rinse.  The weekend market in Makati has tons of organic products and more cheaper than supermarket.

We drink the juice within 2 hours.  I believe that is the recommended while the enzyme is still alive. During weekend, green juice naman kami - kale, romaine, celery, cucumber, green apple, small ginger and garlic.

@all, Hurom has 12 months 0% interest promo now.  My agent from Hurom main also gives freebies if you buy from her.  I can pm her contact number if interested ;)

i also don't peel carrots, cucumber, apple, etc. i peel yung matitigas lang ang balat like melon and pineapple tsaka yung citrus fruits. nag-juice ako ng 1 whole melon kanina, about 800ml yung nakuha ko, but I fed the pulp into the juicer again and again until tuyong tuyo na yung pulp.

i sometimes replace my meals with juice, 1 tall glass okay na (about 400 ml). pero mas madaling magutom so sometimes I juice again or I eat fruits. I plan to replace at least 2 meals everyday, so baka 3-4x times akong magju-juice (kahati si mother) and yung juice pa ni hubby (maarte tong asawa ko, gusto niya sarili niyang juice recipe, ayaw na lang makihati sakin).

kelangan ba pag-juice mo, inumin agad agad? hindi ba pwedeng umabot the next or even the day? for example, sa umaga ako gumawa, pwede na bang hanggang sa gabi of the same day na yon or even the next day?

how much ba ang hurom? paki-pm sis Aubn ng number nya. Thanks!

@la_pinay, i always do this, kahit nung centrifugal juicer pa yung gamit ko. especially for succulent fruits and veggies like cucumber, melon, apple. sayang kasi, di extracted lahat ng juice.

sa recipe book ng hurom, they also advise this, pwede mong i-feed ulit yung pulp except yung fibrous like celery and pineapple, baka daw kasi mag-clog. you can also feed the juice itself for a more filtered juice.

i also peel ginger, pero baka pwede ding hindi na.

I also feed the pulp again and again and again hanggang walang juice na and usually by that time, ayaw na rin lumabas ang pulp coz na clog na rin yun filter part..he he..  yes, true sayang if you just feed the fruits/veggies one time lang, maraming juice ma weh-waste.. :)

^Ano bang brand and model nung 4,000 and 20,000.  Maybe its the quality, baka madaling masira? more juice ang 20,000?

Never tried juicing pero interesado talaga. Since out of budget ko ang juicer, blender nalang gagamitin ko :) Plan ko 3 carrots, 3 tomato, 3 cucumbers. Actually kaya ko to kainin ng raw or boiled hehe.

Question lang, is juicing better than eating it raw or boiled? Or same lang naman nutrients na makukuha? :)

Smoothie naman for me since I only have a blender (breville for 18k). I was expecting na same sya ng vitamix or blendtech na almost pulp-less yung smoothie but parang nothing special naman  saknya in terms of the smoothie aside from the fact that you don't have to put much effort in chopping the veggies, rough chop lang ok na even the hard ones. Here's my default recipe:

Veggie soothie:
1 Cucumber
few small pieces of pineapple
1 apple
handfull of spinach/lettuce/pechay
half stalk of celery - optional
few slices of mango - optional
a squirt lemon - optional

Sweet smoothie
1 banana
few pieces of strawberries - whenever available
yogurt
milk

I don't do this religiously though, like our other sisses, hirap ako linisin due to our extremely tiny space.hehe

hi sis. the difference is un mga mura high speed juicer yun. you do not get the same quantity and quality of juice as compared to a low speed. :)
