This is very popular nowadays! A classmate is actually selling, masarap but super expensive. Her blends serve as meal replacement and it's really thick. She puts other stuffs in it, di ko na maalala. Haha.

hi sisses, im just about to start/try juicing.. I only have a blender (still thinking of getting a low speed juicer) and I have a couple of questions:

- do you add water/sugar to your recipes/mix?
- do you know where to buy beets and kale?
- what is the price range of a low speed juicer?

Thanks!

^ I haven't started juicing but to answer your questions:

- do you add water/sugar to your recipes/mix? - No need to add water or sugar.
- do you know where to buy beets and kale? - My sister bought from the centris sunday market
- what is the price range of a low speed juicer? - 15-18K

Any feedback on the slow juicer brand juicepresso being sold at S&R? It's about 16K but with 6 months to pay and 1K GC to be used at S&R. Hurom naman my sister said can be paid on 12 months installment (forgot where she asked though).

No need to add sugar kasi rich in sugar na ang fruits. kahit sabihin mo na naturally occuring ang sugar sa fruits, sugar pa rin yun. make sure you use veggies as base. my dad juices/blends malunggay. iwas athritis daw. saka medyo matamis din daw so he drinks it on its own. walang halong fruit. although hindi ko pa natikman.

hi sisses, does anybody know why we need to put the juice in a mason jar instead of plastic containers (like that of a mineral water bottle)? kasi i will leave a few bottles in the fridge for my family, to be consumed within the day din naman.

TIA!

adjusted our juice proportion already... 50% veggies and 50% fruits. Ok pa rin sa panlasa ng anak ko kaya go kami. Sana ma-adjust ko pa kahit 75% veggies lang, ok na yun sa akin. Ano pa ba ok na i-juice na veggies? currently mixing carrots and cucumber.

my classmate who made this into a business also puts malunggay and lettuce. tapos she adds "superfood" like flaxseed, camu-camu, maca/peruvian ginseng and the likes. ang natikman ko palang is yung choco loco, it has bananas, raw cacao nibs, raw carob and soymilk. love it!

and she can customize din, actually the first time i asked about it, ang una niyang sinabi sa akin is anong fruit ba favorite ka. so nice. wanna try another flavor that has banana and cookie butter.  ;D

1. makapal kasi ang mason jars sis compare sa plastic bottles na maninipis lang and mas nacclosed ang mason jars tightly na walang air exposure,

2. may chemicals ang plastic bottles na pwedeng sumama sa juice natin.  if you will check the number at the bottom of the bottle, most of the time, it's number 1, meaning we cannot re-use it na, safe lang for single use.

kahit pag gumawa ka ng mga food, mason jars din ang recommended container to keep it fresh.  :D

Hi mga sis, question po. Lately, I am experiencing acid reflux. Is it possibly caused by juicing? Apples, carrots at cucumber lang naman ang juice ko, once a day lang, before dinner, was on my second week na when this happened. May naka experience na din po ba?

ah mga sis so di niyo pala ginagamit as meal replacement yung juice but as complement? to what purpose if ganun? alam ko kasi pampapayat yung mga ganun. hehe.

uso nga ito ngayon as meal replacement/ diet program.

my mom does this to our family since 2010, nung bumili siya ng magic jack juicer. we just love the taste and vitamin/mineral benefits of the juice. pero we're not doing it as meal replacement ha.

i think the meal replacement/diet part of this juicing still relies on the low caloric daily intake idea. fruit sugars will serve as the carbohydrate (energy) supply of the body, but i think it's best na to replace few meals in a day with this juicing, not entirely ha. sobrang sakit naman ata sa ulo nun at hindi balanced ang macros, esp the protein source.

kami din, di meal replacement but we take it first thing in the morning... habol ko lang yung enzymes and vitamins ng fruits and veggies.

I just started juicing, a few days ago :) yung friend ko sells them at P1000/6bottles...it's about 8oz glass bottle tapos nakalagay sa small woven native bag.Ang cute ng packaging niya! At first I was hesitant kasi baka di ko magustuhan yung lasa, but surprisingly masarap ang combi niya ng mga fruits and veggies...some of those I have tried had beets, ginger, kale, celery.I also tried one with malunggay and lemon and it tasted yummy!

I think I will keep ordering muna until I get my own juicer.
