i like to juice green leafies most of all -- kangkong, malunggay, celery, etc... but NOT mustasa (big mistake)... i like to use either calamansi or singkamas to offset the bitterness ....

i don't like to add water to my juice because it dilutes the flavor for me... exception is wheatgrass which i take if too busy (or lazy!) to juice ...

^ sis sobra sobra sobrang bitter! dapat rub with salt and wash with water to minimize the bitter taste. for me, bitter din the kale kaya konti-konti lang lagay ko.

^thanks sis.. if ka level niya si kale, I think kaya ko siguro lunukin..hehe.. I usually add a handful of kale to my juice :)  but at least you warned me of the bitterness so in case I try to use it in the future I know I should start little first

hi there! :)

Anyone knows where to buy inexpensive juicer?

Gusto ko sana bumili, kaso wala pa sa budget. But I am on diffused water detox now. :)

Anyone here experienced juicing greens and they got a gooey juice instead? Happened to me recently when I tried juicing parsley and spinach (surprisingly)

for me, more than the bitterness, it was the grassy/wasabi-like spiciness that turned me off... but what will keep me away from it is the heartburn i got at each sip :D

yep, spinach does that... on the upside, spinach flavor mixes well with other vegetables like carrots if you need something to take the edge off

^sis have you tried adding more cucumber? This could make your mix a little thinner. I always use cucumber instead of normal water or coconut water. So far okay naman.

hi sis pamdiaz.. ang sabi daw it is best to drink freshly extracted juice..once juice is exposed to air and light, it starts to oxidize and bacterial decomposition begins..that is why it has been suggested that if you can't really consume it right away, it is best to store it in a dark glass container with lid and keep it in the fridge..but has to be consumed no longer than 24 hours perhaps?  Mine, I timed my juicing so I can drink my juice right after it is extracted kaya sometimes kahit umabot pa ng 3 cups, I still drink it rather than store it.  if you don't have time, maybe wake up a little bit earlier than usual, do your juicing upon waking up in the morning then drink it right away in an empty stomach so the vitamins/minerals can be absorbed by your body more efficiently :)

hi sis GirlCrush.. mine happened when I juiced malunggay once together with the other greens.. with spinach naman, I've never had that happened.. I guessed it has to do with what other veggies we combine it with?  I juiced spinach with any greens and so far it came out okay but I can't tell about parsley coz I haven't juiced parsley yet..so am thinking maybe parsley and spinach combo = gooey consistency?

i would love to try this... siguro during weekend/off ko na lang. i saw it in salamat dok once, even belo medical group practice this thru sexy solutions. yun daw ginawang diet ni regine velazquez before her silver concert recently. i don't have budget yet for a juicer. i think i'll use blender for the mean time. i even saw ellen adarna's juice... i forgot the ingredient of her green juice. but her red juice consists 1 carrot and 2 green apple.  i think try ko muna yun... hope it taste good or else i don't know other ingredient to mix. i'm getting sickly at age 28 and it scares me knowing i have a 6mo.old son.i would really love to take care of my health more nowadays. :D

hi sis jo1.. may I know what other veggie combo you used with the mustasa to give you such reaction?  I haven't juiced mustasa yet but had tried juicing kailan (belongs to the mustard family I think) with other veggies and luckily it didn't give me any heartburn but now I guessed I have to be careful when juicing mustasa.. if you know what other veggies you used that time, pa share naman sis so we can all be extra careful..thanks :)

Ok lg ba mag juice even if still eating regular meals? I just juice instead of breakfast, and juice again before a full dinner. Nakakataba ba itong regimen namin ni hubby?
