Totally agree with nicoletta. Most dentist just make it a business charging very low and flexible terms making money with a lot of clinic branches giving you substandard treatment and most dentist are not qualified ortho and underpaid newly graduated dentist looking for experiences.. But since payment terms are low and affordable, a lot go for it anyway..

Dr. Smile - is there a way to check online kung qualified ortho or not?

Sa Mid-East, mura lang charge ng mga ortho, kasi mura lang naman ang set ng brackets/wire (7k.)  Kaya most nurses I know working there, kung hindi sila magpapaputi (mura lang din kasi ang glutha), nka-braces sila.  Yung natapos nang magbraces, maganda naman ang result.
In fairness, hindi talaga problematic yung cases nila/ko.  Alignment lang or may gaps in between teeth.  Had it been sobrang sungki-sungki ng teeth ko, my way of ortho research will be different. 

Tatanggalin na upper braces ko this December, I love the arch and no more TMJ.  OT: may nakapagpa-gingivoplasty na ba sainyo sissies?  I'll have it done on January.

Guys, when looking for a dentist or ortho, we should look at the dentist's credentials.  Let us not focus kung caring or mabait, they are all nice, we are paying them for their services after all.  I went to Metro Dental for cleaning, is the dentist nice, yes she is.  She was also fast and precise, the location of Metro Dental is more accessible for me than my dentist in Greenhills.  But if someone will ask me who i would recommend for ortho, yung dentist ko sa green hills, you just really have to go out of your way to go there.  Saturday lang puwede si dr nadela, i'm not sure how much he charges for regular braces, mine was expensive kasi lingual, pero in a year or so, kita na talaga na pantay ang teeth ko.  I did not need veneers because symmetrical na talaga.  Teachers siya ng halos lahat ng dentist na nakausap ko.

Super hindi ok sa dentacare in trinoma, the first time i went there maybe a year ago, i asked for an estimate for cleaning because i am wearing lingual retainers.  I am assuming it might be a bit more expensive since it is hard to floss.  I was given a quotation.  After my treatment, i went out and paid more than what the reception said.  Now… 2 days ago, i went back for cleaning again, i did not have time to go to green hills, hirap din kasi ng parking outside the condo of dr nadela.  anyway, i was asking for estimate, kahit 1200 or 1500, i just need to know.  wag lang akong lolokohin diba?  the girl in the reception was so irritable, she did not even bother to tell me how much ang pinakamahal na aabutin.  the dentist has to see me daw to give the quotation, and the consultation fee is 350.  i don't even have a problem to ask the doctor except for the quotation, what if i come in and she tells me its 3,000?

Take note, GAOC charges 1500 to 2500 for cleaning; Metrodental charges up to 1500 but i paid 1200 only; Dentacare I think is medyo shrewd because they don't really have many clients.  I hope this is not OT yet.  Just venting out.  And its still about teeth naman

I' m interested to try Dr. Nadela's lingual braces. Do you mind sharing how much its cost and paano payment terms?

I read uncomfortable daw and mahirap daw magsalit pag naka lingual braces. Is that true? Pls share your experience. Thank you very much.

mga sis may idea kayo how much braces if ipapalagay sya sa likod ng teeth para hindi kita? i was considering that kasi.. ayoko sa harap..

when i visited my dentist 3 mos ago, she offered me 50k (infront of the teeth) then i wont need to go to her na monthly for adjustments etc, she said it can be done after a year like that.. ok na ba yon ganon offer?

hi mga sis, kung titignan yung ngipin ko wala naman talaga dapat siguro i brace pero kasi nahihirapan ako linisin sya parang over laping sila sa isat isa nagsisiksikan yung itsura.  any recommendation ng ortho within pasig/ortigas area?

Main concern is protruding yung lower lip and teeth ko kasi there's one tooth na hindi natatanggal hanggang ngayon, hanggang sa tumubo na yung kapalit niya dapat kaya nausod yung ibang ngipin forward. Yun nga lang upon consulting one dentist friend, kapag daw kasi adult na saka pa lang iaadjust hindi na daw magagawan ng paraan kasi nareach na yung peak and it stopped na. Totoo ba 'to? Kahit ba ipatanggal yung sobrang ngipin and ipabrace hindi na maadjust yung lower part backwards?

^ maadjust sis , BUT as long matatanggal yung ipin , dahil sa ipin na yun , kung anong orig na position ng ipin mo, babalik at babalik yun..you'll have to wear and maintain it talaga with braces/ retainers if you don't want it to move :/

^ I agree with her. Ma-adjust pa ang alignment ng teeth.I had four teeth extracted pala dahil super crowded din ang teeth ko at potruding ang lips.  I had my braces this Aug2013, almost 3months pa Lang un braces ko pero na-overwhelm ako dahil iyong sungki ko na lower left canine, naka align na.hindi pa ganun kapulido ang pagkapantay, pero maganda na ang improvement sa teeth ko... Maayos na! And I can clean my teeth better. Masarap na ang pag-ngiti!

^same tayo sis. akin naman 1st week of September kinabit tapos yung left and right lower canines na sungki ko medyo maayos na, di rin pantay pa since ilang months pa lang naman but i'm so happy kasi malaki na improvement. yung dalawang upper canines ko matatagalan pa ang pagkaayos kasi mataas talaga yung pagkasungki. :p

she really have to maintain it in the long run.. kasi i tried maging tamad on wearing my braces ai naku.. bumalik lang sa dati yung ipin.. and rhe other ortho knew that may nakuhang ngipin coz of the gap

My dentist is "friendly" pero walang kwenta ang quality ng work nya. Hindi  worth it yung binayad ko sa kanya.

Na.ppissed off kasi ako sa current dentist ko. Wala akong gana pumunta kasi ayoko syang makita.

Same sentiments here sis. One big regret talaga.

after researching i think i'll choose Dr. Nadela na. I want lingual braces. siguro kahit sa baba regular braces lang pero sa taas ayoko kita.  alam ko kasi 50 k down-payment, or 50% ng total and down and then 10% nung down payment every month na. pwede ba credit card sometimes dun???
