Sorry ladies sa napakadami kong tanong, sa mga past brides na nag civil wedding overseas before yung ceremony sa Boracay, yunh wedding ba sa Boracay ipa file din sa Civil Registry or not? TIA ladies!

@danaQ: congrats and Goodluck on the wedding planning! If you are in two halves what service would you go for the coordinator , I am suggesting go with partial lang or the NSTD. This will help you cut down with your costs. I was meant to get full coordination before Kay Amanda but changed our minds and ended up with the partial service. Ako naman kasi ang ng send emails and nakipag communicate to majority of the suppliers. Ang malaking tulong ni Amanda apart from the wedding day is the legal papers, as in hassle free yung PAg process ng marriage certificate namin and we just received it the other day courtesy of Amanda of course.

Regarding your question about the P/V na dating photographer ng Mayad, it's Von of Pleoicene wedding pictures. Iloilo based sila and very affordable yung package nya.  Si Amanda ang nag suggest sa kanya as a replacement to our original photographer. Magaling sya to be fair. So if your interested you can Ask Amanda his details or I can give it to you .

@iamMariee: Thank you sis and congrats din on your 12.13.14 wedding! I saw your SDE and I knew it na ikaw yun kasi nga 12.13.14, Sobrang Ganda din ng SDE nyo and I super like all the DIY's ideas on your wedding. Meant to be talaga kami with the cinemaworks, as in on the day of the wedding lang namin sila na meet. No exchange of emails or whatsoever kasi si Amanda na ang nakipag communicate sa Kanila few days before the wedding. Oo na lang kami ng oo para Hindi na madagdagan stress level namin.
Ill post it here yung feedback ko sa photographer , both yung original na Napili namin which is toto Villaruel and the replacement, Von of Pleoicene. We we're meant to get Jay Lucas Reyes din Sana na replacement na Kay toto Kaso may naka schedule na sya na engagement session sa dec 11 so we have no choice kundi go for the one that Amanda suggested which is okay naman. I'm regretting lang kasi Hindi si Jay Lucas ang kinuha namin agad, wala Sana naging problema dahil May other weddings naman Siya that week sa boracay. But anyway tapos na. Hehe. It's between Jay Lucas and tOto kasi ang pinagpilian namin noon. Hindi ko na realised na dec 8 lang ang availability nina toto. Ayun nasayang ang flights na binayaran namin sa Kanila plus our deposit na Hindi na namin na refund.

@mrsL thanks a lot sis! Yung help regarding legal papers, parang di na din namin kailangan yun kasi ikakasal na kami overseas civil wedding before ng Boracay wedding namin. Sorry sis nacoconfuse kasi ako, kapag ba kinasal kami civil then ikakasal kami ulit sa Boracay, ifafile din ba sa Civil Registry un kasal sa Boracay?  Or non legal wedding sya?

May contract na kami sis nun full coordination although di pa namin nasasign kasi may mga clarifications pa kami, pwede pa kaya pa downgrade yun to partial?

Hi girls!

Sorry just now. Ngaragan naman at kagagaling lang ng Pinas. Just 6 days. 3 days with my fam & 3 days sa Boracay. So finally can relate sa mga venues. Simulan ko na magreview para hindi ko makalimutan at makahelp sa mga magstart pa lang magplan like me.

Wedding date: 1-17-16.
Coordinator: Amanda Tirol (full) - I could have done partial but Amanda is the Queen of Boracay and she can make or break rules. lol

We chose between Asya, Discovery & Shang. Before ocular though, we already paid down payment with Asya just in case because the orig date we like (1-16-16) is fully booked for these 3 venues.

Before going, we thought that Discovery is too modern. My H2B is not Filipino. And we are so glad we didn't choose it as it looked like Miami to us. Plus it is crowded in that area. Though I heard that their services are fantastic and I liked their menu and many people said they have the best tasting food. I wish we had time to try. Kung both Filipinos kayo siguro, it is good to consider.

We went to Asya next and very refreshing from the hustle and bustle of the crowded stations.

Then we went to Shang and even spent Vday there. We loved the privacy yet the grandness is too much for H2B. It reminded him of our stay in Oberois in India where we were living the great life inside the resort yet as soon as we get out of the resort, you see poverty. But anyhow, we will get rooms there for relaxation. Though food was standard. Nothing special.

Verdict: Asya

Since we were there (even our wedding is almost 1 year away), we decided to to do food tasting. And surprisingly, the food exceeded our expectations. In fairness, world-class ang dating ha. My fave so far was their pasta with mushroom with truffle sauce. Though I was not a fan of one of their fish dish which I might look for an alternative, though H2B said it was okay. Their breads are homemade and very tasty (tomato, hazelnut, olive). Sorry, food for me is the most important part of my wedding. lol I am a foodie and would travel for food and all I want is my guests to be fed well and enjoy their food. Their coordinator works well with Amanda and their chef as well. Both seem to very cooperative, friendly and easy to work with.

So now, we're starting the phase 1: guest list. lol

^ congrats sis! asya bride here.. i agree masarap ang food nila esp. the ribs and their tinapa dip.. seriously i didn't even know it was tinapa.. hindi din alam ng father in law ko na tinapa yun if ala  niya yun di niya kakainin hahaha time flies so fast mag 1 year na wedding namin agad agad.. grabe.

Unfortunately both teams of Amanda are already booked on our wedding day, but Asya recommended Ronald Soncio so we got him. Almost same rate with Amanda for OTD coordination and I also read good reviews of him din naman from other brides!

@marieone sis thank you so much for the recommendation it was greatly appreciated but I've already booked Amanda as my wedding coordinator. I am really eyeing Amanda to be my Coordinator, it's just that I'm just unsure whether to get the partial or full. Anyhow, thanks again.

Ladies sorry I have another question here for past and future Asya brides. Upon reservation, do you need to give the minimum guaranteed and payment scheme schedule right away? Or this is something you could give later on? Also, are the package prices locked up once you pay the reservation fee? I'm about to book Asya but I still have some clarifications which I've mentioned above but they haven't got back on me.

haven't done much planning since late last year, medyo nabusy sa work. been racking the internet for a p and v supplier for our wedding in october. sadly, mayad and bejo hilario are already booked for our date mayad talaga was my first choice. ang dami ko pa naman arte pag dating sa video especially.

considering pleiocene and my revery as recommended by amanda as well as some previous posts in this thread, but also a little intrigued by cinemaworks. am open to suggestions if anyone has had a great experience with other suppliers i haven't mentioned. my tastes lean toward a more fun and natural approach, yung may storytelling at tasteful yung placement ng milieu slash glamor slash money shots.

hanap muna ako ng pegs and inspiration. meantime, happy preps, brides to be!

Asya bride here and we decided to have a travel inspired theme kasi we love to travel, LDR kami and since Bora is a destination wedding. Ask ko lang regarding the styling meron ba kayong alam sa Bora na supplier or where we can rent vintage luggage or suitcases and other travel related items.

Anyone here na travel inspired wedding din?

Share ko na din other things that we have na travel inspired.
- Invites - boarding pass
- Souvenir - luggage tag
- PS souvenir - packing cubes
- We're planning to by suitcases sa Regalong Pambahay for the styling and airplane sa table set-up.

Baka may mga ideas pa kayo Sis, we don't want to hire Event stylist na kasi out of budget na.

Hi chicgurl. Pa PM din po of your wedding photos. Booked Amanda na for partial coord and we're going to book Asya na rin for the venue. Amanda advised us to get their packages (ceremony setup, centerpiece etc) na lang instead of hiring a stylist since we're on a budget. Would want to see your DIYs. TIA.😊

Also booked Mayad as photo and video.. but still deciding kung babaguhin pa namin ing photographer. Any advised ladies? We send the save the dates out na.. So far un pa lang... Feb 2016 pala kami... For the previous brides at this stage what else should we be doing na? we are kinda stuck where to go from here. hehe Thanks ladies.

^ i would go for a different photography outfit.  i'm sure Mayad photography would be awesome, but two different "takes" from the photo and video side will add variety.  unless, of course, you want a seamless theme for both.

i think it's never too early to start thinking about your music choices.  unless you have your hearts set on certain songs, this is something that can't be rushed.  if you have no choices yet, then hunker down and listen to random ones until THE ONE hits you.

Help naman sissies! What did you do for flowers and invitations.

Florist: Either Kirby (if ever na mabigyan nya ko ng price quote) or Dangwa Florist. Ipapa-ship na lang daw. Sobrang mura talaga sa Dangwa Florist, even after shipping. Amanda gave me Teddy Manuel and Vatel quotation..namahal talaga ako.. mas mahal pa sa US prices. Any ideas or comments?

Invitations: Anyone got it made sa Manila? I really want hard bound folio. Printsonalities gave me a quote for php400/each. San pa kaya?
