Hello ex & future bora brides! I have to do back reading kasi medyo matagal rin na wala na ako update here! In less than 2 months time na Lang before the big day sa akin! Grabe ang bilis Talaga. I'm sure ma miss ko tong wedding preps & bridizella moments hahaha!


@ iammariee: magkasunod Lang pala ang wedding dates natin! Hope na finalise mo na rin lahat. Ako Hindi pa, but hopefully ma sort out na Lahat before the end of the month. It's difficult kasi sa akin kasi fiancé is AwAy most of the time and Hindi Naman ako pwede mg oo Lang ng oo sa mga wedding suppliers na wala sya approval. I saw you have J Lucas Reyes as your photog, I was meant to get him too, pero natagalan ng reply yung isa sa assistant nya noon. He told me kasi na may I co cover na sya na wedding din sa bora and nakapa book na return flights, so kelangan pa nya I consult yung bride din. Eh si fiancé atat na noon mgpa book ng photog, Hindi na mkpag hintay ng reply haha! Kaya medyo nanghinayang din ako na Hindi Nakuha si J L Reyes. We are thinking of getting his service para sa post wedding pictorial Kung kayanin pa ng budget.  Though happy naman kami sa nakuha namin, Manila based din. It's Toto villaruel.

I Have  a good news pala sa other future brides, my fiancé and I were thinking of getting an event stylist noon Dahil yung mga pegs na binigay namin Kay Amanda  for the reception , like the chandelier cake eh Hindi pumayag ang shangrila . So she suggested a Manila based one who can do it, but when we saw the draft for the total price ng styling for ceremony , cocktail and reception , haha na shock kami ni fiancé . Halos kapareho na ng price na babayaran namin sa venue plus the airfare , accommodation etc pa na I sho shoulder . So we decided not to get one and mag rely na Lang sa mga local based na supplier. But just few weeks ago, Amanda told me na Teddy Manuel , one of the event stylists in Manila is opening a branch in Boracay! That was a relief Talaga . We don't have to shoulder other expenses na apart from his service only and he can execute pa Talaga yung sa styling na gusto namin.

So ladies if your interested sa service ni teddy Manuel, ask Amanda about this.

hello boracay brides!

i first discovered the wedding threads on girltalk when i was helping my sister prepare for her wedding. got so much info and many great insights from real brides. i'm very happy to say that it's my turn now, and this thread has been such a treasure trove of information thanks to all the boracay brides that have shared their stories and wisdom here, looking forward to picking your brains within the next year. my fiance and i are having a church ceremony at holy rosary parish in october 2015. have yet to finalize our reception venue but seawind seems to be our current bet.

It depends on your theme or on your pegs sis. I emailed Amanda my pegs for the ceremony & reception and teddy Manuel gave price quotes for them . He will do the  styling for our ceremony & reception though we are keeping some of the standard set up ng shangrila. Based on the final draft he gave, mas affordable namn sya kesa [textspeak!] sa Manila based . So email Amanda what you want sis and I'm sure teddy will give you a price within your budget. Actually , tumawad pa ako and pumayag naman hehe.

has anyone here ever had any trouble contacting holy rosary parish? i've tried to email ms. aiai of the parish twice and it just keeps bouncing back, when i texted her about it she asked for my email add (twice) and said that she'd email me, but i haven't gotten anything yet. is there maybe another contact person anyone here knows about?

Hi ladies! Planning on changing my venue! Help naman sa mga previous SEAWIND brides. I put a down payment sa Estacio Uno but not a lot of brides here is considering that maybe because of area? I'm about to put the other half down then suddenly i had issues with my bank I don't know if it's a sign or what. the next choice for me is Seawind. Pls help! anybody here recently went to bora? or a recent SEAWIND bride.?

mitch2526 I have Amanda as my coordinator, and siya na bahala dun in case umulan. Hehe. But Asya did also mention naman na they will provide tents in case hindi cooperative ang weather, although additional charge yun. You should ask the venue what alternatives they can offer.

prettyrosedale sis shegie was a SeaWind bride pero 2012 pa yata yun. SeaWind and Estacio Uno are sort of next to each other lang naman din, basta magkalapit lang sila. Isang resort lang yata in between? The only thing I've heard about Estacio was hindi daw masarap ang food?

Now I'm thinking about SOL MARINA. Sis @babythug28 how was your Sol marina experience? I just want somewhere private but not as expensive as Shang arhgggg i had a wedding nightmare last night inemail ko tuloy Ronald Soncio right away to call me lol! i feel like I'm back to zero!

we had a blast naman sis kahit hindi ganun ka high-end sa ngayon yung Sol Marina. yung restaurant area nila where we had our reception (dahil nagstart na umulan) sinira na daw. open na yung bagong area nila na mas malaki and mas maganda (plan C dapat yun dun pero mas gusto namin yung malapit sa sand area).

very intimate, kami lang talaga andun nung time na yun sa area. and madaling kausap yung mga tao kung may gusto kang i-add. yung food till now yan pa din naaalala ng mga guests bukod sa mga kabaliwang ginawa namin during the reception.

Well medyo na discourage kasi ako sa Estacio dahil sa mga SDE na nakita ko ang daming bypassers tapos ngtatake pa ng pic nakakasira ng view lol wala akong pake kahit masayng yung 10k ko pero simula nung binook ko yun hanggang ngayon di parin ako kampante. Dun din ba nagstay most of your guests?

hubby's friends arrived early. as in morning andun na sila. kaya nakapagswimming pa sila sa beach area. mas naenjoy daw nila yung tubig dun kasi walang ibang tao and mas malinis kesa sa white beach.

hello past and soon to be boracay brides! Just finished reading the whole thread from the very first one til this one. I am so ecstatic to finally register here and send comments too. I am also a future boracay bride. Our wedding will be on November 2016. I know, it's waaaaay too far pa. But I've been doing research already and as a matter of fact, we've already booked Amanda as our coordinator, very first thing after we've decided on Boracay wedding.  I am so glad to have found this thread. Been learning so many things. Right now we've booked our P/V na. We're just torn between Asya and Seawind for the venue. Any suggestions?

Hi again! i have a question pala sis, did you guys book online or agent for the flights? I feel like ang daming patong kapag nagbobook ako online ng flights. Can i see you SDE if you had one on your wedding?

^ sis wala kaming agent. ako lang mismo naghandle lahat including booking ng flights (though sila nagbayad hehe). uncheck mo na lang yung mga unneccessary charges like insurance, extra baggage, meals, etc. pinakamataas na atang rate na we booked for the wedding is 2400 (palexpress) roundtrip. the rest umabot lang ng less than 2k.

we didn't opt for SDE sis. alam kasi naming maulan yung July so hindi na kami nagbother magrent ng projector. our video naman, coming soon pa lang kasi hindi pa ko nagbibigay ng upbeat song for the party part ng wedding vid

@babythug28 thanks again! ang daming piso fare lately pero kasi ang hirap pa magbook kapag yung iba dpa talaga 100% lol Although family and bridal party lang naman yung ibibili ko na ticket.

BTW. Any of you guys hired a Event Stylist? kailangan ba talaga or Wedding coordinator team na bahala dun?
