Hello ladies! I am back on track. 😄
And starting to get nervous over here. In 3 months time wedding ko na. I am thinking to hire an event stylist na kasi nastress na ako kung paano gagawin ang decor and stage na gusto ko. I got Amanda and Shangrila but I dont think they can do an amazing job when it comes to decoration. I am so impressed with Gideon pero sobrang mahal ng fee at extra expenses pa sa hotel,fare,etc ng team nya. I need advices 😞 i really want him pero gusto ko rin maging practical at the same time. What shall I do?

prettyrosedale - i hired Amanda Tirol for full coordination. i believe she also offer OTD service. she is a sweetheart and from what i have heard she is definitely worth it. i'm sure the past Boracay brides can concur to this and i think iluvcheesecake was married at Estacio. i'm not sure if she is still on this thread.

Do you know her recent rates and best email for her? TIA

sis Bora.Nov2016 - congrats in booking Amanda!  You're definitely in good hands    You know, the only thing that stopped us from booking Shangri-La was their room requirement, I promise we would've book them in a heartbeat!

nigelronny - if I'm in your shoes and budget is out of the question - I'd go for it!  I'd do the way I want it to be coz' I'll never know if I can do it again (esp for a wedding lol)!

sis babythug28 - I knew it was on the 28th!! So glad it didn't rain during the ceremony!  Congratulations! Can't wait for the pictures

^ sis nung reception na lang umulan pero wala naman naging problema. grabe yung feeling till now tuwang tuwa pa din akong makita yung IG clip ng friend ko nung may fire dancers na.

i recommend Sol Marina's beach kasi talagang intimate yung area. ok yung venue for beach wedding pero not much (as of the moment) kung yung formal type yung gusto nyo. kasi in case na umulan, yung restaurant area nila eh not suitable for a formal-type of wedding by the beach.

rooms aren't new din. since old Club Panoly sila so naiwan pa yung rooms nila sa gitna. shuttle service is every 2 hrs lang so pag naiwanan ka or late night, magtrike ka na lang worth 100 pesos per trike. hehe

needs improvement pa pero maganda yung magiging mga new rooms nila by next year. ang the best sa kanila eh yung food at customer service. super VIP treatment talaga. siguro to compensate na din dahil sa on-going construction sa area nila.

Thank's for your advice iAmMariee and I agree with you, weddings only happens only once in a lifetime. Saying that, wedding day is just one day, is it really worth it to spend too much for a day? Anyway, how is your preparation going? When is yours by the way? Does anyone know how much the transportation cost from Kalibo to Boracay? Is 995 pesos per guest via Southwest Tour the cheapest one? Thank's in advance!

babythug28 Congrats sis! Naisip kita last weekend, I thought you were having it on the Saturday! Ang naalala ko lang kase last week of July ka. So happy for you!

prettyrosedale Amanda (or her team?) replies very promptly sa emails. As for her rates, kung ano ang rates ni Ronald Soncio, add PHP 10k. I inquired from both, and reaction ko and ng friend ko parang kay sis IAmMariee.

nigelronny si sis chicgurl ang ganda ng wedding but no event stylists. She just gave Asya photos ng mga pegs niya. Tutularan ko nga eh, kaya mags pa lang I'm trying to figure out na the theme! So if you have time to go through websites pa, I think that's the best thing you can do to be practical. If not, check out Cuckoo Cloud Concepts. I think they're Bacolod-based? I haven't inquired pa kase we haven't got the main suppliers down, ayokong pangunahan at Baka ma-over budget!

Bora.Nov2016 I'm considering Asya for us, kase hindi namin kaya ang room requirement ng Shangri La! We're heading to Bora in October to have a look around; a friend mentioned Boracay West Cove, and parang type ko yung island/platform going out to the sea! Anyone knows of any wedding that was in this hotel?

nigelronny - well for a budget bride like me I will be on the practical side.. I'm not hiring a stylists, I'd do it like chicgurl did (like gj1206 just said)..  I'm confident Amanda & her team will be able to execute it  ..  but if I can afford to hire one, I will still do it.. I don't want to regret it one day and tell myself I should have done it this way when I have all the means to do so    BTW, I'm a December Bride, and preps are doin' well (thanks for asking!), major things are mostly settled, minor things na lang..

For the transfer - the P995 is that one-way?  I think you can get it cheaper if you do it your own, yun lang mas convenient ang Southwest..

sis babythug28 - yeah I saw their website they are going thru lots of construction, and it looks very promising.. so glad to hear it was awesome!

gj1206 - didn't know of a wedding there but saw pics of the resort, ang gandaaa! Isn't this the alleged resort of Manny Pacquiao?  Anyway, i love that deck out to the water too!  Ganda if dun ang ceremony

iAmMariee Omgosh sis, I thought you had your wedding na! Good luck sa preps! Sounds like you have most in place na. How long have you been planning? Did you get Amanda for full or partial coordination? I'm still not sure what she will help with when it comes to suppliers pag partial coordination lang...

sis gj1206 - haha been planning for this wedding like forever!  2012 when I got engaged, was planning since then, initially either Fernbrook or Tagaytay lang kami.. then we went to Boracay December 2012.. fiance liked it and we realized we both wanted a beach wedding.. we were targeting Feb 2014 but we had to move it to Dec 2014 instead..

In 2013 we started booking suppliers, including Amanda    I booked her for OTD only kasi like you I wondered what else is she gonna help me with since I prefer dealing with the major suppliers and I'm really hands on even if I'm overseas..?  I was still convinced that I needed one so I booked her, and you know what..? Maybe it's too early to tell but I think it's one of the best decisions I've made.. right now she's helping me iron out all of the details, what I want and what not.. she guides me thru and is keeping me in-line lol.. without her, I will be totally lost!

sis gj1206 - mga DIY ko for the wedding were the bouts (6), the bouquets ng ento (4), my bouquet, onting lace lang sa flowergirl baskets, wooden signage (our names + officially ekek), yung invites namin, packaging ng souvenirs (shirts), and flow ng program proper.

share ko na din, nag Harlem Shake kami right after maannounce ni pastor na officially mr and mrs na kami. super surprise number, at dahil kasama ko buong ento sa pagsayaw, walang nakapag vid except P/V namin hahaha!

also, meron na akong Marriage Certificate with registration number. my bro has a friend na nakatira sa Boracay. i asked a favor na ipasa nya yung paper namin sa munisipyo. so we got married ng 28, 30 pinasa nya. then the same day, binigay na agad sa kanya yung copy for me.

wait na lang daw ako ng 3-4 months para makuha yung NSO copy ng marriage certificate namin.

sis iAmMariee most of the overseas brides super okay ang feedback kay Amanda. and it's nice na kahit OTD lang ang kunin sa kanya, she's willing to help sa preps mo. ang hirap kumilos for the wedding without somebody from there to assist you talaga. enjoy the preps sis!

just want to share pala my experience with Southwest they were "uggghhhh" hahaha nastress ako sa kanila may attitude problem ang ibang staff nila! nagsumbong pa ako kay amanda about it pero alam ko sila ang kinukuha ni amanda for transers kasi mura sila at siguro may discount na si amanda. merong isa pa yung myboracay guide ok din ata sila.

^ anyare sis with the Southwest? mas mahal yung myboracayguide sa transfers eh. meron naman dun kung madami na sabay sabay, yung isang buong van uupahan nyo for Kalibo to Caticlan port transfer. DIY na nga lang sa boat pati sa port to hotel pero madali lang naman.

meron pa ata akong number nung driver namin sa Sol Marina. madami daw shang kumpare na nagseservice ng van so yung isang buong van babayaran nyo instead na per head. sa pagkakatanda ko 2-3k ata yung sinabi nyang rate, i forgot na lang talaga.

uu, andun naman na ako sa stage na ang sarap balik balikan ng pics hahaha! wala pa yung photos from our p/v, i can't wait. ang saya lang din tignan yung pics from our guests salamat big time sa mga help nyo ladies.

hay nako walang customer service yung southwest. pagkadating ng plane namin (delayed flight for 2.5 hours) walang sumalubong sa amin usually di ba may nakatayo na magggreet sa inyo na may hawak na board with your names? ako kinalingan ko pang pumunta sa table nila at hanapin ang name ko sa board nila eh malaking group kami halos 30 kaming sabay sabay sa plane my hubby's family/friends & mine (family and friends too) tapos manual ko pang kinuha lahat ng tickets i was expecting na merong dedicated na tao na mag aassist sa akin/amin dahil malaking group kami at hindi naman kami dun sa maliliit na boats we upgraded the boat transfer. tapos wala akong idea saan pupunta next etc etc dahil every time na magboracay kami meron namang nag aassist. i asked nasaan yung bus sinabihan lang ako basta kumaliwa daw kami? helllooo kamusta naman yun diba mga 10 buses kaya yung andun that time april yun peak season. tapos pinipilit nilang TOUR GUIDE daw ako hahaha sabi ko hindi nga ako tour guide ako yung bride kasi lahat ng kasama ko mga foreigners tapos mukha akong naglilider-leaderan hahaha as in walang nag aassist maski yung pagdating na mismo sa island ako pa yung mag aapproach dun sa taga south west eh dapat naghihintay na sila sa port for us diba? to assist us para sa multi cab transfers.. tapos 30 kami with luggages most 2 maletas ang dala tapos ang binigay samin 2 multi cabs lang? ayun nag bridezilla na ako haha sabi ko hindi ba sila nagiisip andami namin at mga malalaking tao halos 2/3 ng numbers namin since puti sila hindi talaga ako pumayag na 2 lang sabi ko 4 dapat yan at alam naman nilang 3 resorts/accommodation ang pagbababaan naming lahat.. in the end nag agree naman sila na 4 after ko magsungit ng bongga nag mala Anne Curtis ako sa boracay! hahaha

but wait there's more, akala ko papunta lang ang hassle paalis ganon din meron silang staff na may attitude problem! pinagsusungitan ako sa port dahil nasaan daw ang mga ticket namin sabi ko di ba sa inyo dapat manggaling yun kasi bayad na kaming lahat? tapos bilangin ko daw lahat kami sabi ko bakit ako nag magbibilang di ba work niyo ito? sinabi ko kasi 24 kami nung pabalik kasama na mga bata bilangin ko daw ulit sabi ko kung ayaw mong maniwala bilangin mo, ako daw ang guide dapat ako daw.. nakkapikon! hahaha sabi ko hindi ako guide sabi ko kuya huwag kang masungit masama sa puso yan and sabi ko maayos naman ako makipagusap at maayos naman ang suot ko bakit ginaganito niyo ako hahaha drama queen.. nakakainis kasi. hindi na ako nag bridezilla kinonsensya ko na lang si kuya. sabi ko ang pangit ng service niyo. ayun twice ako nag file ng complaint at twice sila nag apologize via letter tinawagan ako ng manager kasi nga nagsumbong ako kay amanda sabi ko sabihan niya yung southwest na huwag ganon.

naku ah! kung ako din ganunin malamang magkakaron ng eksena. nanibago din ako sa southwest nitong punta namin kasi wala na yung sasalubong with board, walang nag aassist sa maleta, mga ganun. unlike last year VIP performance yung service nila. eh mahirap din for us kasi madami kaming dala + may kids pa. kung kami ngang 5 nahirapan na ko how much more yung kayong madami. nagbayad na lang kami ng extra sa porter kasi nakakahiya naman sa tito ko na ipasuyo lahat ng bag.

last year din, 1 van per group or booking. so comfortable talaga. ngayon nag-intay pa kami sa ulanan buti na lang nauna na kami sa van kasabay ibang hotels (Fairways, Alta Vista, etc). pero yung mga friends namin na sa La Carmela nakastay, nag-intay sila sa labas, kanya kanyang silong from ambon.

yung pauwi naman walang problema. wala na lang talaga yung nag aassist ng full power kumpara dati

^sinabi mo pa kaya nagbridezilla ako ng wala sa oras. i hope they will look into this matter seriously especially hindi biro ang transfer lalo na from kalibo ang haba ng biyahe. sana walang maka experience nito sa mga future brides kasi dagdag sa stress.

by the way alam mo nakuha ko yung NSO marriage certificate namin after 7weeks lang.. si amanda ang nag ayos mas mabilis kasi pag sa kalibo kinuha compare to Manila na aabutin ng halos 6 months. just want to share lang.
