I am thinking of booking Resortsworld Sentosa - Festive Hotel on our trip to SG. Is it okay to stay at Johor pag visit namin sa Legoland? Safe ba?

kirsche, wow! Good news! Sayang naman yung sa amin. That was last year Holy Week. Yung attendant doon sa counter ng USS ang nag reject ng Senior Citizen card ni mother in law ko. Sayang din iyon ha.

kikaygimikera, have fun! Ang natry pa lang namin sa RSW ay Hard Rock Hotel. Natuwa ako sa pool nila kasi meron sand area (mini beach kunyari) kaya enjoy ang baby namin and meron kiddie section na puwede sila mag computer, may mga toys, etc.

same tayo sis. I kept my EZ link card that I used 6 years ago when I lived in sg. Kaso when I went back to sg last 2011. nag-iba na daw card nila. they got my card inexchange of few dollars.

The card expires raw if you don't use it after a certain number of years. Not sure kung after 3 years.

hi mga sis please help... punta kami sa sg sa march bale 4 adults 3 children (age 7/4/1)... sabi nung sister ko na makapag check in na sa mindarin orchard di naman daw mahigpit kasi yung lobby nasa 2nd floor so di ka makikita kung madamipala kayo sa room. balak kasi sana namin 1 room lang kami sama sama nalang.. 4 nights kasi kami so mega tipid kami.. bale sa mandarin parang 8000.00/night x 4 = 32,000 divide sa 2 person yon kasi ang magbabayad.. tapos nabasa ko dito parang ok sakin yung YMCA orchard kasi may family room na..

ask ko lang mga sis ok ba sa YMCA kung 4 adults kami then 3 na bata ok lang ba sa isang room.

sa YMCA last na punta ko (2011), medyo maliit yung rooms. Yung nakuha namin isang room with 2 bed, exakto [textspeak!] 4 n adults .

Tried na Mandarin Orchard, the rooms aren't that big ha, unless you book a suite.. Pwede na pagtyagaan 4 adults sa twin room since 4 nights lang naman (we tried na 4 adults kami, me nakitulog sa amin for 2 nights na friends namin, hehe..). Pero pag me kids pa, i think di na kaya yan, super sikip na at wala na mahihigaan, unless you can put in 2 extra beds..

even if the hotel allows sneak in, don't you think it will be so uncomfortable to all of you to be cramped in a room. at may bata pa kayo.  kawawa naman mga bata, baka di makatulog ng maayos.  also remember, when on vacation/traveling, it is important to get good sleep para may energy kayo sa gala. mahirap na kung puro kayo cranky..

hi, pahelp naman ng ITI and accomodation for 11 pax-2 seniors, 6 adults, 3 kids...first timers po kami...
sa aug pa naman alis namin 10:30pm alis pinas ng aug 17, then balik aug 22 ng 12am.. bale we have 4 whole days para makapag-ikot. Gusto namin puntahan sentosa, universal studio, legoland...sobra tagal pa kaya lang nag-aayos na kasi ko budget namin at para mafamiliarize sa lugar thru directions & suggestions nyo mga sisses...thanks sa mga magrereply.

@allcat, here's a piece of well-meaning advice: just get a hotel/hostel that is cheaper than Mandarin Orchard. get two rooms in this cheaper hotel/hostel, instead of cramping your family of 7 into one room. hindi na kayo nag-sneak in (which i'm against for), kumportable pa ang pamilya mo.

i'm telling you sis, it's better to stay in two rooms at a cheaper hotel than staying in one room at Mandarin Orchard. the purpose of a vacation is "a vacation", so you need to at least be comfortable. i understand that there are budget constraints, so utilize that budget in the wisest manner: get two rooms in a more affordable hotel.

Ano yung best time to go to Gardens by the Bay and ilang hours dun?
Better ba na before 5:30 sa Gardens then head to MBS na for the sunset?

^sis Ella, its best to go to gardens by the bay around 4pm.  However, on a weekend since maraming tao, better be there by 3pm.  Kasi laging mahaba pila sa ticket counter.  Also, in SG sun sets around 7pm. So you have ample time to roam around gardens. 

To the rest who wanted Itinerary and a place to stay, a lot has been said over and over.  Do backread because, there are plenty of suggestions on the most affordable and comfy hotels as doable 3- 5 days itineraries.

Please check TRAVEL DELIGHT. they offer cheaper attractions tix like USS frm 74--64$ and for señior citizen 38$ dun din kami nagpa book ng sg zoo-night zafari naka save kami ng around 6$ each basta attractions discounted. Email and check their FB page nag rereply naman sila may whatsapp pa nga eh.

Papunta office nila take Bugis Exit B yun may raffles hospital. Then across that is Golden Landmark. Ang number ng store nila is 03-05 if im not mistaken 3rd floor yun just ask where is travel delight.

 Bumili kami singapore pass 30$ sa bugis station namin binili yun pass or pwede kayo sa train station mismo ng airport bumili. Good for 3day pass na yun sa Bus at train papunta sentosa, airport, zoo, refundable ang 10$ sa ticketing office.




Hotel/hostel: sissies backread lang po. Ako din nun una super kapa kapa lang pero backread lang and take notes.

Mga sis, question about customs sa Changi Airport.  We are visiting Singapore next week and we are coming from Abu Dhabi.  My and hubby's mom will be joining us in our vacay in Singapore and they will be coming from Manila. 

Gusto sana namin magdala ng mga chocolates, nuts and some canned goods to give to our parents para dalhin nila sa Pinas pauwi.  Di na kasi kami makakasama pabalik sa Pinas.  Gusto rin sana namin magpadala ng chickenjoy (hahaha) from Jollibee.  Question is - Mahigpit ba sa customs sa Changi airport?  Hinaharang ba nila ang pagdadala ng mga ganitong items?

^hi sis, as per my experience, nagdala na din ako ng goodies before, di naman naharang, naka-check in ang de lata at hand carry naman ang chocolates . Yung Jollibee, pwede din hand carry. Kelan ba kayo dadating ng Sg? Ang alam ko malapit na mag-open ang Jollibee sa Sg eh.

^Thanks for the quick reply sis. Feb 19 ang date of arrival namin.  bale 2 adults and 2 kids. Iniisip ko na lang na since 5 kg ang allowance for processed food (siguro that includes chocolates) so that would give me 20 kg in total.  In my case mga 15 kg lang naman ang dala naming goodies.  so pasok pa rin sa banga. Yung canned goods lang ang medyo nag-aalangan ako kasi nga di sya made in US, NZ, australia etc.

Talaga? Magkaka Jollibee SG na? Sana maabutan namin.

One more thing, is it advisable na mag-bus/MRT pa kami? Magiging x6 kasi ang fare namin if ever kasi yung kids ko more than 0.9 m na.  Baka mas makamura ako kung magta-taxi na lang kami? Yung fares ba na nakalagay sa gothere.sg eh total na yun including yung mga transfers?
