mga sis, diba ang St.Lukes Global and Medical City has packages. If ever we avail them, will we still have a Philhealth discount or is it included already in the said package? Sayang din [textspeak!] yung 19k discount for CS and P1750 for the baby. Sa Medical City they also give like a 7k discount if I'm not mistaken for Pasig residents. Sayang din [textspeak!] yung matitipid diba.  ;D

vain_kixie and katrinac kainis, yung ob ko kasi parang ilag when we talk about money.  Usually after check up I just go out and it's the nurse who tells me how much i have to pay and it's usually 900 to 2100.  I'm due on my 12th week and I'll ask her na talaga, kasi i heard 120k to 140k siya according to a cousin who also went to her.

I just gave birth last week at St Lukes Global City? I am very satisfied with their service.
We didn't get a package cause we wanted to have a private room. Ang kaso, all private rooms were taken! Ang dami nanganak nung time ko - so we were placed in a semi-private room temporarily until may ma-free na private room.  Medyo nahirapan kami sa semi-private kasi malakas umiyak yung baby nung kasama namin sa room tapos may mga visitors pa sila.  Medyo 'lugi' kami kasi 3 lang kami (me, hubby, baby) tapos bihira pa umiyak si baby. Buti nalang din, na-discharge sila late that night so overnight, wala kami ibang kasama.  The next day, we were moved na to a regular private room. Another thing is, mahirap for the companion to sleep sa semi-private - unless sanay sya matulog sa chair (may armrest naman).

Around 130-140k don is sa professional fees.

And hindi ako hirap pag-uwi.

Tip lang for those considering St Lukes Global. Naka-room-in kasi yung baby so  parang self-service don.  Although, you can always call your bedside nurse for assistance.  Pero mas-okay sya for 2nd time moms kasi wala ka na takot to handle the baby - unless you have your mom (or experienced yaya or hubby) there with you who can help you throughout.  Kasi if for example, feeding, ikaw na bahala don. Diskarte mo na yung timing.   The nurses will ask you when the last feeding was, nag-wiwi or pupu na ba. Pero yung pagkuha ng baby from the bassinet to feed, etc, you really need help from your hubby or mom or yaya. Nung first night na puyat na puyat si hubby, pinag-rest ko muna sya so panay tawag ko sa bedside nurse para lang dalhin and i-latch sa akin si baby.  Sila din pinagch-change ko ng diaper and clean the belly button kasi hindi yon kaya ng hubby ko. Hehe.

Every few hours naman bibisita yung nurses. To check vitals of the baby and mommy and to give meds (painkillers for me). May pupunta din na aide to bathe the baby. So madami ka din matututunan kasi they will do all those right in front of you. Sa first born ko kasi, i didn't know na kelangan pala i-maintain ang body temp ng baby between 36.5-37.2.  Wala kaming ganun before kasi nasa nursery lang yung baby. Too late na.

As I've said, self-service. So you have to bring your own diapers, feminine wash, maternity pads/overnight pads, baby wash, cotton, baby wipes, alcohol, baby clothes, mittens, bonnet, booties, swaddle/flannel blanket, baby towel, etc.  experienced mom na ako and i anticipated this na kasi my friend gave birth sa st lukes din so kahit papano prepared kami with all the things.

Another thing is sinulit ko yung lactation nurse don.  May mga times kasi tulog lang ng tulog si baby, like 5-6 hours na walang feeding, tapos di namin mapilit, so i usually call them to help kasi gusto or i felt the need to feed the baby na. So gigisingin nila si baby, give you techniques then help ka nila i-latch pa. Sometimes, andon pa sya throughout the feeding kasi tuturuan ka din sa proper way to burp the baby.  Basta, madami ako kwentuhan with the nurses and doctors so madami ako natutunan and nabaon na tips pag-uwi.  Refresher course sya sa kin kasi 6yrs ago pa yung first born ko tapos may midwife ako the first month to help me kaya di din ako talaga marunong mag-alaga ng baby non.

Nagkaron kasi ako ng confidence in taking care of the baby because of all the things i've learned from the hospital.

Yun lang. Sorry napahaba ang post ko.  Just sharing my experience. ;)

Hi mga sis, 1st time mom po ako and totally clueless, nag-back read po ako ng konti but puro sa Manila and QC ang mga hospitals na nai share ng mga sissies natin.

Meron po ba dito na nanganak sa Cavite Area? taga dun po kasi kami but OFW po ako so uuwi lang ako when i reached 30~35weeks na po.

I hope your could help me po for the rates ng NSD and CS and which hospital has a good service?

Salamat po.

My OB in St Lukes qc told me around 90-100k for NSD and 160k daw for CS. That was last year's  rates pa and she would update me daw since they usually increase their rates every year.
Hi vain_kixie sinong ob mo sa st. Lukes qc?

I went to st lukes global yesterday for my check-up and to arrange papers coz i will be availing the save package.. I already have the signed contract and admission slip from my ob, got the philhealth requirements (12k++ lang ang marereimburse for cs sa philhealth, hospital charges lang ang pwedeng mabawas i was told coz yung pf ng doctor sa package is net of philhealth na).

Im almost all set!

Maybe i need my mom and not my partner sa panganganak ko lol

sis scents01 who's your OB?  ;D yung Save package for CS is 110k right, dapat 19k ang discount sa philhealth ah...question, so may less pa dun sa 110k because of the philhealth or is that inclusive of the package na?

I gave birth to my 2 daughters through CS at the Old and the New Medical City. The package back in 2008 was around 70k and upon doing my back reading, yung room and the inclusion in the baby welcome kit is still the same. Maganda rin talaga ang maternity ward sa Medical City because nga concrete ang wall and maganda yung divider so you really have your privacy. A chair will be provided for the companion so it's best really to bring a sleeping bag. Hindi naman din sila ganung ka strict and with the technology today, one can bring their own gadgets para may mapaglibangan naman [textspeak!] walang tv sa room. For my 3rd, It's not even confirmed that I'm pregnant ahahahha, I already asked my OB about her hospital affiliations. Luckily, she's with 3 hospitals and here's what she gave me...sorry mga sis puro CS lang to lahat ha  :D

St.Lukes Global Save Package - 110k - room here is semi private ( 2 in a room). True enough, spacious yung room and you have a common toilet but the downside that is I see here like what sis le_zar said is divider lang yung partition and talagang rinig mo yung ingay sa kabila esp if they have visitors. Good thing here is your parking will be set at P50 per day. You just have to validate it on a daily basis. Facilities wise, you can never go wrong with St.Lukes Global. All staffs, nurses are friendly.

Medicat City Package - 99k na daw. Sabi ni OB nag increase daw. Forgot the old rate. Downside para sken is the parking...mahal sha  :D other than that, I always felt secure in this hospital..

For those na gustong makatipid na taga Pasig:

St. Therese - 50k daw ang CS Package dito net of Philhealth na.

St. Camillus - 50k din daw ang CS Package. Mas bago daw to and mga foreigners, dominican priests ata ang nagpapatakbo ng hospital I'm not sure though.

sorry napahaba. Hope this helps  :D

Sis jean and barbie, my ob is dra megiuzo. T-th 1-4pm sched, you can call st lukes for the full sched.. Very very nice ob.. Just be patient lang in waiting coz ang dami nyang patients..

For cs, 100k (ward - 4bedroom), 110k (semi-private - 2bedroom)

You have to pay the full amount before admission yung 12k+ philhealth deduction kapag CS is irereimburse sa billings dept upon discharge

Sis jean, thanks thanks!! Super busy pa rin ako sa work kaya yung excitement ko is contained lang lol hope everything will turn out well..

Sis barbie, ward ata yun.. Kasi yung sa brochure nila 60k nsd and 100k cs lang. When i asked kung ano yung 100k, ward daw, plus 10k for semi-private..

Sis ma. regina, applicable for both st lukes global and qc..

True na maraming nagsasabi na hindi ganoon kaganda sa PGH, pero I think that's just compared to other private hospitals, and wala naman kaming balak doon. Hehe

Also I went to FMAB and my OB is really good. Lahat actually ng residents ng PGH ay recognized in the field of obstetrics and gynecology so wala akong takot.

I asked my OB what amount I should prepare. Sabi nya pag normal, 30k tops. Pag CS, 60-80k.

At least din dito, mas may chance na kung mag-exceed man ako, makapagpromisory note ako with regards to payment. :) Hehe.

sis, im not that rich din po kaya nga naghahanap din ako ng afford eh. then kung ako lang din talaga ag masusunod ok lang sakin na sa lying in clinic ako manganak basta may background ako sa magpapaanak sakin. what i did is I went to MMC and know how to get the green card. and luckily im approved and sa MMC na ko manganganak. pag CS na may green card is natatandaan ko 43k ang price nila if nag increase na sila. normal is 28k or 33k. basta ganun ang price nila sa green card holder sa OB package. :)
