in Melbourne, don't miss the Eureka tower. it will cap your Melbourne trip cos they have peep-like telescopes
that will tell you of the famous tourist spots in melbourne. Don't forget to hop in the trams too!

Sydney, madami! Sydney tower, chinese garde (wear chinese costumes!), bondi beach, botanical garden,
harbour bridge, opera house, blue mountains, hyde park and st. mary's cathedral, etc.

Blue mountains is like Tagaytay pero plus ang scenic world cos you can do a lot of stuff! i spent my birthday there for this year.
It was summer but it rained in the morning so when we went up to the deck, all we can see is fog but when we went to the scenic world,
it cleared up so the cable trip was oh so worth it.

it's winter now and even in the city the temp goes down to 9 degrees. sometimes it snows in blue mountains so who knows, you  might
get lucky have fun and bring lots of jumper and jackets! brrrr

Hi mga sis. Will be applying for a visitor visa. Will be traveling with my bf na australian to visit his family  so putting him as sponsor for accommodation. Ok lang ba yun or will it raise a red flag kung bf ang sponsor dahil isipin nilang magstay ako dun? No intention naman of staying, ive got a stable job here sa pinas. Is it better to name someone else as sponsor na lang?

^I think you can put the name of your australian BF as sponsor but you have to prove that you have a stable job for you to come back.  That's all they want, a proof that you will come home to manila.  Xerox of company ID, current payslip, any assets that you have in Manila is quite enough to prove that you have no intentions of doing TNT in AU.

Got my AU visa after 10 days of waiting! Thank God!

I just booked my accommodations which are
Sydney = Sydney Harbour YHA
Melbourne = Greenhouse backpack hostel

I am still trying to book the Great Ocean Road tour but I haven't heard from the operator just yet.  And I will also be going directly from airport to Blue mountains as I will be arriving in Sydney at 6AM.  Fully recharged from my sleep.  I plan to store my things on the lockers area on the YHA katoomba for AUD5, then roam the area via the hop on hop off.  Afterwhich go back to sydney to check in and explore the city.


I hope those two hostels are in good shape when I get there as they are highly recommended by trip advisor.

^If yung Great Ocean Road is the one in Victoria, you can book yung Great Ocean Road trip dun sa Melbourne Tourist Center din sis.  Madaming choices pati dun and you can ask for recommendations depending on what you want to do (madami rin kasing pwedeng side trips from the Ocean Road tour).

Maganda rin mag countryside trip outside ng Melbourne. Mura masyado ang wines at cheese at laging free tastes (kahit walang bilihin).

Nakakamiss ang Oz! Next time I want to visit Surfer's Paradise and Gold Coast naman.  Victoria pa lang napasyalan ko eh.

I heard they have more stopovers that other tours.  Although more expensive than the others pero parang ok sha because of the many sidetrips.

^Nice sya sis kasi all in na pala ang meals! Nung 2011, if tama pagkaalala ko may mga tours na 80 AUD lang ang kaso di nag Otways tapos sagot mo lunch.

So parang ganun din, considering meron mga stops na "add on" na pag ibang operators ang kunin mo. Okay na sya sa price!

^Yep sis.  They also have a high recommendations from trip advisor.  They even go to the actual beach where the 12 apostles are and they can go to small narrow streets as part of their tour kaya tingin ko nga sulit.   I am also eyeing on Mornington Peninsula or the Yarra winetasting.  Sis, may I ask you if between the two who wins your vote?

if marami kayo or kahit ikaw lang, you  might wanna rent a car and drive it yourself pag nag great ocean road ka.

there are a lot of stops to take photos with especially pag mahilig ka mag picture picture.

^Thanks Freeswan. Unfortunately, its a solo tour and I dunno how to drive. he he he.  Also, I am not familiar with the place.  I think its better to have the tour as I also get to know the background of the place like the history and some trivia as well.

for those availing of ocean road tours, i dunno lang if it's for all pero medyo strict sila sa time. kasi we wintess na winu-watergun ng tourguide yung mga pinay na di sumusunod sa oras ng balik sa designated point. kaloka.
