This read is a very heartwarming. I wouldn't mind getting notifications for new replies for this thread. hehe

Sis Nicoletta, I don't think puro nice looking girls lang ang nakakakuha ng random acts of kindness. ;) My Aunt who's pass 60 and very very masungit looking was spared from paying extra luggage too from LAX when a filipino family of 5 took her extra baggages and checked in under their name. Tatlong kahon ng balikbayan boxes of pasalubong din yun ha! :D

Ako naman, I was still in college then.

You probably look nice, guys rarely offer things to women they don't find physically pleasing :)

Hahha, they are just really helpful . I agree with you though na yung iba , kapag ma beauty lang ang girls saka tumutulong.  But I don't think pag aaksayahan pa nila ko ng time dahil sa physical attributes. I was in my 40's already when I met them and wala namang palitan ng phone numbers ,lols . We are all married people. Naging mabait lang sila .

totoo yan sis...ang daming Random act of kindness pag umuulan....hehe :)
im sharing my experience who showed me this kindness:

Pupunta ako ng Pedro Gil that time to meet my friend when I was on my way papunta ng MRT biglang nawala yung phone ko. [textspeak!] pa kaming specific place and time so I was so worried. I went to some stores to ask if pwede bang makitext or gumamit ng landline to make a cellphone call. I even explained that my phone got stolen. Pero walang nag-allow sa akin. I saw a payphone sa MRT station and I was trying to call my firend, which at that time hindi sumasagot. I was so frustrated na that time then may isang babae who was just standing nearby. I explained what happened and she let me use her phone to send an sms. She was my savior during that day.

I also witness some random acts of kindness when I was working in the hospital. Usually sa mga ward, patients would share their food, diaper, milk, tissue or whatever with other patients and watchers. Specially sa mga walang bantay. You will see the generosity of those people na kahit hindi sila mayaman, they are willing to share what they have.

I have encountered another simple act of kindness but really heartwarming. I was at the billing section of a hospital yesterday to discharge my mother who was hospitalized. Yung number for the queue was just  handwritten numbers na nakasabit sa malapit sa entrance ng  office at medyo magulo . I picked up a number ( which was #15)  and naupo na ako . Then a man approached me and told me na mali ang nakuha ko because  he was the last who picked up and his number was 11 , so dapat 12 ang kinuha ko.  I was so thankful kasi nagmamadali din ako dahil gusto na namin maiuwi kaagad mom ko and pagod na rin ako.  Nakakatuwa na it's a simple thing pero nagmalasakit yung lalaki a akin.

For us who receive this acts of kindness, let's pass the good deed to others.

We had a pregnant neighbor who were thankful for. One night, hubby's sports car was parked outside and at 3am we heard a loud knock in our door. When he opened it, there were 2 cops asking to speak to my husband. Come to find out our pregnant neighbor called the cops because he saw 2 men trying to steal  the lug nuts in his car, thankfully all of them are locked. Cops didn't find the men, only the equipment they used which was left on the scene.

When we moved, I gave her a nice purse and some things I didn't want to bring with me. She was just as happy as she can be :)

This story of mine really moved me.
Way back in college, ang school namin is located in Manila so tuwing tag-ulan baha talaga.
Before makarating sa school, dadaan muna sa pathway. At yun ang lagi binabaha talaga.
Our president way back then was also a priest in our church there.
Some of the students lalo na yung freshmen barely even recognized him as he is a really humble person.
That act of kindness he showed was really made me and my friends feel na wala talaga sa katayuan

Well, maybe it's just me.

once i was on my way to work nung nagco-commute pa ako, patawid ako ng street. nung pagdating ko sa gitna, nakita ko may naiwan na old lady na hindi nakasabay sa pagtawid ng ibang tao kasi mabilis sila. i just took her elbow, stopped the cars, then sinabay ko sa pagtawid ko until makarating siya sa eskinita.

another one i can remember, nagpunta ako sa pag-ibig to get my check for the MPL. kailangan pa pala i-verify the info sa computers na nasa isang sulok. so nakapila na ako, then yung guy sa front ko, pinauna na ako. i typed in my name, et cetera then when i saw the info na, jot it down. when i was about to leave, tinapik ako nung nagpauna sakin, kung pwede ko daw ba verify yung check niya. so i did, and gave him the paper. then my eye met this old man sa tabi ko. i just said, ako na po titingin niyan para sa inyo (because he looks really, really lost) then gave him the information he needs. that made my day  :)

menopause baby ako..so nung elementary ako yung mama ko around late 40's na..teacher siya sa school na pinapasukan ko..so usual scenario pag sa umaga sobrang hirap sumakay ng jeep and sa gabi ganon din siksikan talaga as in hahabulin mo jeep..palageng may nag oofer na kalungin ako para makauwi lang kame..until now naaalala ko pa yun..may time pa nga na ambulansya na walang laman pinasakay kame ni mama kase sobrang agawan sa jeep para makasakay..

then when i was 9 years old..first time kong makasakay sa eroplano..so syempre excited ako kase ang upuan namin ni mama sa gitna ng plane eh gusto ko sa tapat ng bintana kase i want to see the clouds and gusto ko tignan kung parang langgam ba sa liit yung mga tao pag nakasakay ka na sa eroplano..so naka tip toe ako para tignan yung bintana..then yung girl na nakaupo sa tabi ng bintana offered na kalungin ako the whole flight para makita ko yung clouds..ang bait ni ate..until now im 28 na di ko pa din makalimutan yun..

This happened to my Mom, My dad is suffering from cancer that time. Na confine dad ko kase may complications nanaman, the problem is wala na kame cash, as in 20 pesos nalang cash ni mom ko, sa sunod sunod na gamutan ng Dad ko kulang na kulang ang mga naipon namin. Kahit pagsama samahin mga sweldo naming magkakapatid di paren kasya for his medication :(

Thank GOd may HMO card ako na avail sa Dad ko, but still we need cash for other needs. Pigang piga na din ako that time at preggy ako.

My mom is secretly crying and praying beside my Dad, When suddenly this old woman around 70's approach my mom and asked what happened to my Dad. So nag kwentuhan sila bout sa sakit ni Dad, Then after the long talk, This old woman gave my mom 3k.

Sakto tumawag ako that time kay mom and nakwento nya sakin.

I Thank God for my Parents.
I Thank God for the people who help us.

May God bless you.  :'(

Went for a consult recently at The Medical City sa mall. Hindi na ako pinabayad nung doc afterwards. Akala ko nga nagkamali lang sya and I even had the nurse confirm with him if wala talagang fee na i-charge, considering ang haba pa nung consult. Haha, sobrang napa-thank you ako kasi I really wasn't expecting it.

Oh, I just remembered, equally worth mentioning: Something similar happened na to me before pero years ago pa yun, also at The Medical City but with a different doctor at a different mall. No fee pinabayad. Pati yung medication na in-apply nya sa akin, no charge. I had absolutely no idea why, baka mukha ako kawawa nun, LOL. Another kind soul.

this cigarette vendor gave me a free ciggie when she did not have change for my 100 peso bill. wow. to think that i actually have more than her and yet she was the one who freely, out of sheer kindness, gave me something. never saw her again. i should have just given her the 100 pesos and never asked for change. sigh.

Mahilig ako sa ganito. Automatic na. Sa tuwing may nakikita akong opportunity to help other people , I do it in my small ways. Good karma. Simple things like offering to share your umbrella with someone when raining, kapag di ka nagmamadali sa pila, why not paunahin mo yung nasa likod mo, yung taong walang barya para sa pamasahe sa jeep, ilibre mo kesa bumaba/pababain pa sya. Yung taong nakikipag away sa money remittance center kasi di nya makuha yung pera nya dahil kailangan pa daw nya magpa photocopy ng ID tapos wala syang pang photocopy, offer your 5 pesos. Yung estudyanteng hindi pinayagan palitan yung 1K nya kahit anong pakiusap nya sa LRT kasi sarado na at kelangan nya ng pamasahe sa jeep, tanungin mo magkano need nya para makauwi, he would appreciate your 20 pesos.

Let's spread the love!

^  Nice ! simple but helpful ways na malaki impact sa taong matutulungan .

I had experience random acts of kindness from different people and I do pay it forward in my own little way too. I'll always think of doing so  everytime there is an opportunity.  I like this thread and it reminds me that there are still good people out there.
