Inexpensive Yet Durable Bags
« on: December 18, 2012, 10:53:42 am »
as of now, di ko pa talaga kayang bumili ng mga authentic designer bags mga sisses kaya naghahanap lang ako ng mga inexpensive bags yet quality. . May nakikita akong cose, secosana, etc . Okey na ba to sa durability? Thanks ahead. =)

Sophie Martin, prices range from 800 to 2,000.  :)

I like egg. Also yung tomato sis.. Kasi ako malapit lang sa st. Francis meron ako dun nakukunan ng bag na  sya mismo nagdedesign and I must admit maganda mga designs nya... Also try mo rin Parisian bags

There is no durable brand per se eh. Dapat you choose a bag na mukhang sturdy at maganda ang pagkatahi kung gusto mo ng durable. Yun nga, you may scout the bags section ng mga department stores (I suggest SM) kasi andaming choices dun. Tapos pag sinuwerte, sale pa. You can buy two to three bags sa budget mo.

Sis, secosana for me! Affordable pa lalo pag nag-sale :) Heartstrings din, very durable...

Has anyone tried kimbel?

Yep! I agree sa tibay ng heartstrings, until now kasi hindi pa nasisira heartstrings ko. hehe i want to try secosana kasi okey lang pala. Thanks!

I just bought my 1st Secosana bag, yung mukhang Longchamp na may sling. Got it for P650. Sana nga matibay.

Sobrang gusto ko magkaron ng Longchamp Le Pliage kaso ang mahal, when I saw this Secosana bag, parang nasatisfy narin yung craving ko for a Longchamp bag. ;)

ako rin in a hunt for inexpensive yet durable bags. sabi nila we get what we pay for pero di ko pa rin talaga kayang mag-spend for an expensive bag. I remember buying CELINE bags for my mom before. parang 800-1500 ang price range nila that time. madami rin ako nakikita na magandang designs sa secosana. :)

tingin ko nasa paggamit naman yan sis. :)

i agree with mrsB, dapat pili lang ng mukhang durable na bag kase wala naman sa brand also nasa pag gamit din. better na palit-palit para hindi din madaling maluma ang bag :) i have a lot of secosana bags, meron one or two na nagbakbak pero other than that okay naman tsaka sulit naman kase everyday ako nagpapalit ng bag

For 2k and below, madami nang options for durable and classy bags. Nasa nagdadala at pag-aalaga naman yan hehe. :P some local bags are just as good as many imported bags, so let's support na lang the local workers kesa those in china (where most imported products are made now anyway).

Ok naman secosana, celine, belladonna, michaela, and several other brands found in SM. Egg is also good, though the material they use now is inferior compared to their bags a few years ago.

The hot areas that test durability are on the zippers, strap attachments, stitching, and the material of the bag. May metal parts that appear sturdy but in reality cannot withstand repeated exposure to weights not even half their capacity, madaling maputol. Horror ito if you're carrying your laptop inside your bag at biglang bumigay ang straps at metal buckles. Ingat sa straps na synthetic cloth or thin vinyl ang material, madaling mapunit on the site where it's sewn onto the bag.

I have a secosana bag almost 5 yrs na yata, na-store ko pa yun sa box, and dati everyday use din, small handbag lang sya, pero wala pa rin bakbak, I don't know the material/fabric, pero kasi yung other secosana bags naman nagbabakbak altho mejo after 1yr pa.

My officemate always buy Celine, altho sabi nya di matibay, she still buys them kasi cheap.

Girbaud has nice/unique/simple designs compared to those sold in SM/Rob dept stores. Mejo pricey din pero mukhang matibay. Yung mga naka-sale last year, e same items na naka-sale pa rin this year e.

Egg is pricey and cute, and for most design it's weak material.
