Sis when my family and I first applied for our US visa (yearsssss ago lol), we had no travel history. As in kahit na isa,
kahit man lang HK wala. But we were ALL given a 10 year multiple entry. My siblings and I were
still studying kasi so we dont really have time to travel, parents are both working. It just goes to
show that the travel history wont make nor break your application. It will help, yes, but again,
there are so many angles that the consul is looking at.

Sis wala naman mawawala sayo if you applied eh. $160 usd lang. hehe and a good experience to gain.
Picture ng house? You need land titles yes, pero yung picture ng house, I've never heard of that.

Yun picture nabasa ko sa us embassy site yung sa demonstrating ties yata, picture of family, house or business im not sure kung required ba talaga yan sa lahat or baka for minors naman. Hehe

^you just need to convince them that you are coming back. answer them straight and short lang answer. wala ng explain explain unless pina-explain ka. the more you talk mas iisipin nila kabado ka or you are lying. yang mga pics ng house, titles etc are just supporting docs. they rarely ask for them. sa answer mo pa lang kasi and the manner how you answer their questions, alam na nila.

i got 10yr multiple btw. just received my passport today =)

Hello mga sis! Just want to share my experience, had our interview yesterday.

Profile namin: early 30s, married, no kids. Both accountants. We previously travelled to Europe, UAE and around Asia.
Hubby: works in a MNC, almost 10years na sa company. With previous US visa pero 2011 pa nag-expire.
Me: housewife for over 3years na. Previously worked in a MNC.

We were called at window 1 - consul was a pleasant lady na motherly ang dating. Only one person ahead of us (being interviewed na when we got to the window).

Consul: hi. How are you today?
Us: good morning! We're good. (handing her our passports)
Consul to hubby: so you had a visa before. How many times have you used your previous visa?
Hubby: once, in 2006.
Consul: how long did you stay in the US then?
Hubby: about 2-3 weeks
Consul: what was the trip for? For fun? (And she smiled)
Hubby: (smiled also) ah yes, for fun. I travelled with relatives to attend my cousin's wedding in NY
Consul: what's the purpose of your travel this time?
Hubby: also for fun (smiles)
Consul: will you be visiting relatives as well?
Hubby: yes, that's also part of our plan
Consul: where are your relatives in the US?
Hubby: i have relatives in NY and Las Vegas.
Me: my relatives are in Lilburn and Chicago
Consul: where in Chicago? In the city center?
Me: i am not sure if they're in the city center
Consul: i asked because he's from Chicago (points to a guy at a table behind her, not a staff. Parang expat na me ini-inquire sa embassy), and i love Chicago, my favorite city.
Me: oh, i see. The windy city. (smiles)
Consul to me: so xxxx, what do you do?
Me: i'm a stay-at-home-wife
Consul: housewife, ok. Any kids?
Me: none yet, hopefully soon (smiles)

(At this point, the expat guy talked to the consul, me tinatanong. So me lull for a few seconds)

Consul to us: excuse me for a moment. I'm approving your visas. i just need to check something for him first.
Us: ok, no worries (smile kami, kasi nakahinga na ng maluwag, hehe)

(After a while)
Consul: ok. Your visas are approved, we'll return your passports by mail in about a week. We'll send it to the address on your application forms.
Us: great. thank you very much.

From the start, husband was confident we'd get approved. But i wasn't, because of my housewife status + no kid. I was worried i'd get denied since my application form didn't ask for previous travel history and education info (kay hubby, meron). I've been putting off applying for a US visa for so long, and i am glad to finally get this over with. 

Interview was done in about 2 minutes. No supporting documents asked from us, though we were prepared - we brought bank certificates, car registration, land/condo titles etc.

I have no idea how long ibibigay na visa. sana 10years. if not, ok lang din, kahit single entry nga ok lang sa akin e, hehe..

^congrats, sis! they seldom give single entry na for tourist visa. as far as i know, sa thread pa lang na ito wala pang single entry

How can I know the availabilities via visapoint? Is it even possible to know yung mga available dates online?

Question mga sis. My passport is expiring na on Sept. 15, 2013. Technically, its still valid until March 15, 2013 (6 months before expiry). Pero gusto ko na mag-apply ng US Visa as in this week na. Will I have a problem if ilagay ko passport details ko now, then baka pag nainterview nako ng April, new passport na ang dala ko? Kasi if I renew my passport, baka April palang ako makapagpasched, tapos baka by June pa maging sched ko. Hope someone can enlighten me, thank you!

Better renew your passport muna. Kung ano kase yung sinubmit mo na passport number sa ds160 yun dapat ang dala mosa interview mo

Got our passports back this afternoon! Had our interview last Friday. Husband & I both got 10-year visas.

hello po. i'm new here.

i really need some help and enlightenment from those who have undergone the VRP. i myself went through the process last thursday. after the fingerscanning, i was told by the lady that that was it for that day and that my passport would be delivered within a week.

question lang po, does this mean that my visa has been "reissued"? she didn't say anything about them giving me a call within 2 working days. as i have been a lurker in different threads regarding this matter, it is to my understanding that i would have been informed about a call which i may or may not receive.

sorry, i'm just so nervous. it is my first time to apply by myself. i'm single, 27 years old, self-employed, but will be sponsored by my dad since he will be traveling with me. he is a holder of a 10M visa. i have traveled to some parts of asia and the US 2x, not staying for more than 3 weeks. sayang kasi yung 6k+ pag denied din. and as far as i'm concerned, sa mga nabasa ko sa ibang threads, [textspeak!] mga pinapatawag for interview ay most likely nadedeny kahit na VRP.

i'm sorry po talaga, napaparanoid lang po talaga ako.

^^Under VRP ako ng nagrenew ako ng US Visa ko late last year. Yes,ganun din, baka raw may tumawag
sa akin for the next 5 days for  clarifications sa mga dineclare ko. wala namang tumwag at dumating
agad ang renewed visa ko after 2 days.
Usually pagkinuha ang passport during interview, ok na ang visa. Kasi kung denied, ibabalik ang passport.
Athough may friend ako na kinuha ang passport habang nag-aapply for renewal.yun pala
confiscated yung passport na nya at visa kasi upon checking, nakitang may something nung last
visit nya sa us. forgot na kungao yung incident nya pero work-related
but it has taken him more than a year just
to fix that gusot and get his passport and renewed his visa.

Under VRP, may interviews pa din.saka nfinger scan ka na sis. mukhang ok na yan. Unusual case
lang yung sa friend ko.

magbayad ka muna sis ng fee for the visa application then may access ka na sa availability ng dates.

mdrmt, same tayo halos ng profile. I was 26 years old then and single when I reapplied under the
VRP. They told me my passport will be delivered in 5 to 7 days. I got my 10 year multiple after 3 working days.
Don't worry much, pag denied ka ibabalik nila sayo yung passport mo right there and then.

nag VRP rin ako just a few weeks ago. I'm also single, halos same age as yours & self-employed. sa finger scanning naman wala rin sya sinabi about a call so don't worry about it. ang sinabi lang nya sakin is yung processing daw ng visa e 7 working days and she wished me a good day, yun lang. dineliver naman passport ko with visa na 10 yrs multiple entry after 2 days

sis less than a year pa lang ba expired yung visa mo? yun kasi ang qualified sa VRP, and dapat ang last visa na binigay sayo ay 5 or 10 years multiple. may semi "interview" pa rin naman kasi talaga sa VRP which happens before finger scanning pero it's called pre-screening & di sya considered na formal interview. yung interview talaga happens after finger scanning & para lang yun sa mga magrrenew na more than 1 year na expired ang visa, or kung pinatawag ka for additional interview if you're on VRP.
