i would suggest na pag dumating ka dito sa canada. mag join ka ng mga org like sa church or anything like if you like photography, crafts etc. dun magkakaroon ka ng mga akilala na pwedeng magrecommend ng mapapasukan mo or sia mismo mag recommend sa iyo. kasi napansin ko dito maganda na marami kang kakilala at dun ka makakahanap ng trabahong gusto mo.

maybe you can work in manufacturing or distribution kind of setup.
pero you would need canadian experience for most office work.

I arrived sept 7 tapos oct 1, i started sa govt program about job employment seminar. I was paid allowance so ok na rin, para na rin akong nagpapart time. Tapos nov 5, naka start na ako sa work ko na full time.

I agree with sis lonelymiss28. Expand your network. Karamihan kasi ng job openings eh ino-open muna sa internal before sa labas so if may kakilala ka sa loob ng company pwede ka irefer diba. That is how i  basically got my job. My fellow alumni where i graduated sa pinas (may alumni assoc kasi kami dito), referred me to that job. So ayun, successful naman ang interview ang i got the job.

expand your network. but be very careful with people you deal with. not everyone you meet, especially here abroad e may magandang intensyon na tulungan ka. most of the time, machi-chismis ka lang. kahit saan naman ata ganun, but just be very careful.

And another tip: wag mamili ng trabaho. I've seen a lot na super na depress kasi maganda ang work sa Pinas tpos pagdating dito, fast food crew / or mahirap mag hanap ng work. Fair naman dito, kahit anong age hinde ka mahihirapan maka hanap ng work. yun lang, most of the companies hinde nila credit ang international study.

If ever I will study in Canada would there be any chance na makakuha ako ng post study work visa after studying, find work, then apply as immigrant after?

^^tama ka sis na hindi lahat may intensyong tumulong especially pinoy. wala pa akong nakilalang pnoy na tumulong na magpasok sa isang kumpanya. example na lang yung pinasok ng asawa ko sa comapny nila na pinoy then sinabihan ko na baka may kilala pang pinoy na seaman na kelangan ng work na immigrant na dito ang sabi ba naman hwag na daw kumuha ng pinoy at nakakahiya lang daw kung dun pa sa company nila magkalat...napa omg ako, grabe talaga!

student visa ang visa mo ngaun? Ang pagkaka alam ko kasi, yung mga naging classmates ko, umuuwe talaga sila kung saan man sila galing after ng sem. siguro not unless maka hanap ka ng work before you graduate na magbibigay sau ng working visa/ permit, pwede ka [textspeak!] mag stay. pero kung hinde, mag apply ka ng working visa.

and yung tuition mo will be a lot more expensive. tuition ng mga student visa is triple.

^hi sis castledoll, I'm still in PH but planning to study abroad. In AU and NZ kasi you can apply for post-study work visa after completing your studies. You can use that visa in finding an employer for at least 1 year yata kaya nagtatanong din ako if Canada offers this kind of visa for international students. Of course, one of my reasons then kaya I want to study abroad is to be an immigrant. Holding a student visa is just my stepping stone to enter the country, finish studies, find work, then apply as immigrant.

^^thanks sis castledoll, will check that out. I haven't done any research about studying in Canada coz hindi pa rin ako decided kun gusto ko ba talaga sa Canada because of extreme weather during winter.

Canadian employers do not hire foreign office workers (as far as I know). Aside from those in the medical field (like nurses, med techs, etc), mostly food service industry ang nagi-sponsor ng workers.

Magandang route din yung post study work permit. Most Chinese go that route. Yun lang ang mahal ng tuition fee ng international students. Good luck sis!
