@eischied_21 - one year na yung tuition na yun sa new brunswick. sa ibang province, depende sa course, more than 10k a year. yung course na kukunin ko meron din sana sa red river college sa manitoba kaso next year pa available. mura din don nasa 8k+ a year.

if you're on a student visa here, i think you are only allowed to work 2-4 hrs a day.

hi sis rics and sarsingkit, thanks sa input..i was thinking kasi na 1 full time job, 1 part time during weekdays and another part time during week ends. 

6yrs ago ako nag apply and ngayon, nakareceive na ko nomination from british columbia. kaya lang di pa ko makapag decide kung itutuloy ko kasi stable na ko sa work ko. kaya siguro may fear na to start from scratch.

^^i have a friend before. she's working full time looking after a senior. free board and lodging, then may extra work sya as call center agent. ang problema lang dito mas malaki kita mo mas malaki tax mo.

mas feasible yung 1 full time job, then 1 part time job. normally, yung full time job mo, weekdays yan. maganda if you can get a part time job lets say sa retail so you can work 3x during weekdays after your regular job, then full time hrs during weekends. nakakapagod nga lang, plus since you're single, malaki ang tax.

Yung youngest sis ko, 3 ang work balak din nya ituloy yung nursing course nya, ang alam ko mag lo loan siya, kaya todo ipon talaga sya. Kaso yung ate ko naman sa kanya na pina shoulder lahat ng utilities , and grocery. Naawa tuloy ako kasi pagod na lagi.

^ but utilities and grocery is barya lang i guess when compared to mortgage, property tax and house insurance that your ate is paying. So if ok lang i think na singilin yung isa mo pang sister for utilities and grocery. If you are resourceful and matyaga enough na mag asikaso, meron naman bursaries, loans and scholarships available.

Nalilito na ko talaga and I need your help. First off, wag mabigla, we're a same-sex couple, so obviously, Canada will be our first choice to LIVE! My partner and I, living together, obviously not married, for four years, and no kids, plan to immigrate to Canada pero parang ang hirap kasi dahil parang ang hirap for my partner makakuha work dun compared to the US. She's a registered PT, with more than 2 years paid experience, not to mention private practice. Mahirap maghanap ng employer kasi obviously, may credentialing pa dun and she needs to study pa. Anyway, we have savings naman. Did I get it right, (on canada immigration website), we can apply to immigrate as same sex, with proof of funds, pero apply pa din sya as skilled worker?  Gano ba katagal to? Sa website last time I checked 17 months? Ano yung 17 months, tapos na, processed na talaga? Or 17 months to reply hehe? Yung funds namin di naman malaki parang sakto lang dun sa info sa website. So, in other words, ubusang pera manyayari sa amin. Should she work muna sa states na lang tapos saka pumunta dun? Thanks

^^there are some states in the US na merong same sex marriage. regarding sa job, most of the time kasi employers here are looking for canadian experience or if not then yung diploma/cert from canada for you to apply a job na gusto mo, swertihan kung makakakuha ka agad ng trabaho na gusto mo here na bagong dating ka although meron naman iba kaso yun nga naswertihan sila.

for application naman for both of you kelangan naka black and white lahat and since wala naman sa ating bansa na common law, so mag apply kayo as individual, di mo pwedeng ilagay doon na living together or anything dahil di naman yan nire-recognize sa atin.

i am not familiar with the time frame about sa application. and if i were you kung may chance naman na sa US kayo pumunta, then dun muna kayo kumuha ng experience then pag gsuto nyo pa ring mag canada then go, kasi once may US job experience ka ay madali kang makahanap ng work dito, unlike sa pinas ka galing. hope this helps!

Hi sissies, anyone investing here in Canada? Baka naman may maishare kayo? Asa caregiver program kasi ako so walang way to earn extra, gusto ko naman sana atleast ngiinterest ang saving or kumikita ng extra.
And more thing, pov naman sissies on what career is better to pursue after i got my papers someday, balak ko mag aral but undecided pa kung certificate base or magpursue ako ng 4yeara, depence sa financial capabilities, and i,dont know what to take up, iniisip ko health feild, nursing or psw, pero nakakapagod ang shifting sched, thingking bout early child education din, at least weekdays lang ang work or i.t courses but hindi ko alam kung maganda ba career wise. Advice pls? Thanks ^_^

^if kaya ng time mo and money, i would suggest engineering technologist sa community college. anak ko kasi she is taking up chem eng tech. and student pa lang sya pero ang laki na ng kinikita nya saka kahit ojt may kita na rin sila. 3 offer na work nya this summer.

ok. lpn and psw kasi puro part-time and casual (on-call) lang ang pwedeng makuhang work sa hospital or nursing home.

pharmacy is also a good option pero mahaba na ang waiting list sa universities. anything with education here in Manitoba, the competition is high already. mahirap na makakuha ng work. swertihan na lang.

minsan mahirap din masyado maraming pera sa dito sa canada, kasi ang laki din ng tax, kahit interest sa savings may tax, although there are ways on how to work around that pero kahit na. so hinay hinay sa pagkalam ng pera

Thanks sissies, hope to find what path would i want to take, baka health care pa rin bagsak ko, tho kung may choice ayoko sana, pero i will look more into other options.

this is true, I am an rpn here in ontario (greater toronto area), im just fortunate to be referred by a doctor kaya nakapag-work ako full time in my line but a lot of practical nurses are jobless here or kaya on-call shifts lang. I have a friend though who applied sa malayo sa toronto area, also a practical nurse and got a job right away with a very good salary, sya na sumusuko sa hours of work na binibigay nila sa kanya. tip lang sa mga nurses or any profession, explore job opportunities..malaki ang canada! ontario is not just toronto, etc...yun ay kung priority nyong makaland ng job in your field...  .. just like hubby, he tried applying in toronto but with no luck, but he landed his first IT job (contractual) in Waterloo, Ontario and now he got a permanent job in Ottawa.

Mahirap magsimula dito sa canada. in our first six months, gusto ko ng umuwi sa Pinas but through prayers and encouragement din from my love ones unti-unting nagiging maayos ang lahat
