^ I am pretty sure you'll love it there. Davao is awesome!!!

Wala pa kong itinerary. Pero I made reservation na sa Royale House. Yung longest zipline ba dun yung sa Outland Adventure?

^so far wala pa ako naencounter na nagsabi saken nyan, or nagparinig or whatever. in fact, most of the times, my friends admire my traveling solo. hindi lahat ng tao is up for solo travel. if ever makarinig man ako ng ganyan, it wouldn't really affect me. eh di loser sa tingin nila, winner naman ako sa experience :)

meron akong friend very well traveled din sya, pero never pa sya nag solo kase concern nya lagi is magtipid. ang hindi ko gusto sa mga trip nya is kung sino sino lang mainvite nya magtravel, para lang makatipid. like just last month na lumabas sya ng bansa, may ininvite sya na saktong acquaintance lang nya, not even someone na kaclose nya talaga, tipong lumabas lang sila twice tapos chat chat sa fb parang ganun. ininvite nya kase daw yung friend nya na yun, may visa na dun sa country na pupuntahan nya and may pera din so hindi mahirap yayain. pagbalik nya, mega kwento sya saken how miserable the trip was dahil sa kasama nya -- brat daw, naghihilik pag natutulog, laging late gumising, bigla na lang nawawala ng di nagpapaalam, etc etc. so ending nahassle sya sa kasama nya.

ayoko maexperience yun. seriously i'd rather travel alone kesa naman mahassle sa mga kasama ko, or ako yung manghassle ng mga kasama ko. nagtatravel din naman ako ng may kasama, pero usually family and very close friends.

hi sisters, bigla ko lang naisip...ano naiisip/nararamdaman nyo when other people (possibly haters) say na LONER ang pagtatravel solo? :(

I don't get affected coz in reality, I don't feel like a loner.  When I get back, i get raves na ang gaganda daw ng picture ko and I look very happy in it.  I meet so many people along the way kaya its very far from being a loner.  Probably coz I am confident about myself na it reflects with other people that's why when they see my pictures when I am all alone, instead of them thinking na loner ako, they treat it as natural for me to travel alone.  These are the people I have lunch and dinners with all the time ha!

I love travelling with people around me and I also love travelling alone.

I guess if you have the right confidence, you can easily brush aside any emotions kung meron silang ibatong question that will make you feel less confident.

Travelling alone requires certain self confidence in order for you to enjoy the journey.  If it is lacking, then I don't think a person can enjoy how it is to explore the beauty of the places nang may inaalala at the back of your mind kung ano ang sasabihin ng ibang tao. :)  Just my POV. :)

To sis simang and sis xtine: nice answers sisses!  :-*

i've never tried to travel solo kasi, kaya ayun mejo may takot ako regarding sa safety ng place and at the same time yung sasabihin ng iba. >___< nakakahiya aminin dito yun pero i still want to try para na din maovercome ko yung takot. :) i know, once na matry ko, hahanap hanapin ko yun!  also, i admire others talaga who can travel solo. :D

^Sis, pick a safe place especially with lots of tourists like you such as siargao dahil pwede ka makakita ng surfing buddies doon.  :)  Before I was hesitatant to travel alone kasi loner nga or parang wala ako friends or boyfriend.  But then when I had a taste and how I enjoyed it, ang sarap ng feeling.  You really get to enjoy the place tapos nawawala na yung feeling na loner ka.

Just now, I told my friend that I will be going to tokyo next week ALONE.  So sabi nya, wow! please post many pictures daw.  So nainspire ako na they don't take it as negative but a good sign.  :)

Its very different when you're with somebody.  Parang mabagal ang oras pag with you're with somebody or parang di mo mashado naenjoy ang ganda ng lugar because you're preoccupied with other people that you have to think baka nabore na sila kelangan na umalis.

Good luck sis and safe travels! :)

I travel with friends, with boyfriend, with family. Pero iba pa din kapag solo. Pwede ko itry lahat without hassle. One time we went to Baler with some friends and where we stayed was dorm type. Some of them expected na sa hotel kami magstay (package tour kase kinuha namin nun and hindi nakaspecify). Hala, half of the trip they were complaining sa lugar, na sana daw nacheck muna yung place, etc etc. Hahaha. When I travel, I want to immerse myself into the locale. Ayaw kong nagsstay sa posh na hotel, i'd rather spend the money on good local food and other activities.

One time nman we went to Boracay, ang dami kong ni line up na activities for us. Hahaha

^Before I was hesitatant to travel alone kasi loner nga or parang wala ako friends or boyfriend.  But then when I had a taste and how I enjoyed it, ang sarap ng feeling.

True. Yung mga nakikilala ko sa travel, pag nagtatanong sila, bakit wala akong kasama, sabi ko lang 'me time' ko yun. Haha. Ganun kasimple. Very liberating talaga pag solo. Basta. Kaya yung mga friends ko sobrang ineencourage ko itry sya kahit isang beses lang so they'll know how awesome it is.

Ako naman sis, youngest ako sa amin. First time ko magtravel solo di ko sinabi sa mom ko (nasa abroad sya). Haha. Cute lang. :) Pero syempre naintindihan ko naman concern nya.

Within the country lady friendly naman halos ang mga tourist destinations. I suggest Bohol for one (kakagaling ko dun last July). Very friendly and helpful ang mga locals so hindi ka mahihiya magtanong.

Always plan ahead and research sa pupuntahan mo. Kaya mo yan sis! :D

^naku sis! may mga nakasama na din ako sa tour na kung makareklamo sa tutuluyan (or worst, sa place mismo) eh akala mo kung sino. hays. sa mga ganung time kasi kahit disappointed ako, ieenjoy nalang yung lugar. after all, ako ang dayo eh and minsan lang ako pupunta dun, so no time for rants dapat. :)

:) i might try domestic muna para malapit lapit. next year ang bohol ko pero with family. :)

I just came from my ten day bakasyon.  The first part, Ibiza, I was with my college gay bestfriend and an officemate. Okay lang, pero to be honest, magkakaiba kami ng trip eh, so kelangan bigayan, and tiis tiis ka minsan kahit di mo masyadong feel ang mga plans kasi in some aspects sila rin nagaadjust.  Then from Ibiza, I went solo na on my last leg which is a  five day solo trip in Germany ( Dusseldorf, Cologne, Hamburg). Why? Kasi I can do my own thing, kesyo maglakad ako ng ilang oras kasi naghahanap ako ng magandang picture-an. Also masaya rin kasing chumika with the locals when you are on your own.  May mga misadventures (like sa train pala sa Germany, yung long haul trains, if di ka nagpay ng reserved seat (i.e. additional payment ito aside pa from the train fare) may chance na nakatayo ka buong time.  And then may mameet ka ng locals na magaadjust para sa iyo kasi nga solo traveller ka (tapos bilang Asian ako alam nila na engorks ako haha) so like yung long train ride ko na kung minalas eh nakatayo ako,  a German guy gave his seat tapos lumipat sya sa harap ko and told me na pag may magclaim ng seat eh sya na lang tatayo,  mga simple things na nakakatuwang maexperience because you are alone.  It builds character and you appreciate other peopleĀ“s kindness lalo.  So there,  if given the choice between travelling with friends who do not have the same travel style as me or travelling on my own, I will choose being on my own definitely!

^True sis! I remember when I rode the RER sa paris, I asked a french guy if this is train is passing the station I want to get off to.  Then sabi nya yes.  So when we arrived at the station before my destination, talagang pumunta sha sa akin (kasi sa malayo sha nakatayo at nakaupo ako), just to tell me na the next station is mine na daw.   Mabait sya kasi magisa lang ako nagtatravel.

Mababait din ang mga locals, makikipagkwentuhan sila sayo when they knew you're travelling alone.  It happened to me lots of times, an italian guy even bought white wine to share with me.  So sweet.  I really love travelling by myself.

Sis, ganitong-ganito ako, haha. Only child din ako and the first time I traveled solo (which was 2 weeks ago lang), my dad was reaaally apprehensive about me leaving, as in aalis na lang ako pinipigil niya pa rin ako, kahit daw bayaran niya thrice the price of what I bought my ticket for, haha.

It's very liberating.
