Sana ako den before ako mag-30 yrs old next year maka-travel din ako mag isa. pag-iipunan ko na.

everyone should try solo travel at least once, kahit domestic lang. kahit baguio lang. or zambales. it's a liberating experience, and really nakakaadik sya. haha.

although i told myself the bohol trip i had last time may be the last time i'm traveling solo since i'm getting married next year.

Hi mga sis, can anyone recommend a place to go near Clark, Pampanga (not more than 3 hours commute sana) that has white sand beaches na for backpackers ang budget? At safe enough for a female solo traveller? Overnight lang.

I checked out Morong, Bataan pero I'm a bit confused sa info online. Some say off-white yung sand, which is okay enough, but some say it's dark gray. Maarte lang sa color ng buhangin lol  TIA!

My last solo travel abroad was 2010 pa, before I changed my passport to my married name (senti-mode kunyari, kasi I was letting go of my maiden name sa passport, haha). I wanna do this again, although malabo soon kasi 2 months pa lang si baby.

Domestic naman, last ko was July last year.. Davao. Every year ako halos sa Davao, hehe.. this year puro staycations [textspeak!] muna ako. Pagmalaki-laki na si Baby, pwede siguro ako short domestic getaway, tipong kahit 2 nights or over the weekend lang.

Sa mga nagbabalak mag-try, I would suggest Cebu or Davao for your first solo travel. Cebu & Davao, kasi they are big and safe cities, there will always be someone na mapagtatanungan, taxi drivers are generally honest and kaya din I-commute to go around.

For abroad, I'd suggest Singapore. Then HK.

Started my first solo travel March of this year sa Baler, Aurora. Ang saya pala.

Any suggestions within Luzon muna? I'm saving up for next year para sa Cebu, Davao, or Batanes trip. TIA

How did you go about with Baler? DIY or nagjoin ka ng travel group? I want to DIY sagada kaso sabi nila better daw pag join na lang ng group.

I started solo traveling since last year. I started with 1 day in Guimaras then full week Bacolod, Dumaguete and Siquijor. I was just in Malaysia two weeks ago, first time to go out of the country, first time solo trip abroad and first time to try the mixed dorms. it's really a fun experience plus you get to socialize more with locals compared when you're out with a group where the tendency is that "kayo kayo lang." My mom always tells me that I'm weird for traveling alone, hindi pa talaga masyadong known/accepted ang ganitong klaseng type of traveling in our country, madami pa din dapat may packaged trip, hotel hotel-an and with a bunch of barkadas. :-P

Pero masaya, must try talaga and solo travel.

Our Davao Trip next month is supposedly for 8 pax. Now, mukhang 4 na lang ang matutuloy. nakakainis kasi nababago bago ang itinerary and worst...napapamahal pa ang gastos. haaaaaays. I MUST REALLY TRY TO JUST TRAVEL SOLO. In fact, ako lang din naman ang nagaasikaso ng trip namin eh. hmpf.

@pretty_B hay naku sis, i understand your sentiments. mahirap talaga makahanap ng okay na travel buddy. kapag mga ganyang situation kase yun nasa unfamiliar places kayo at malayo from home eh lumalabas ang mga tunay na ugali ng mga tao. mabuti na lang i have good friends na good travel buddies as well. although, minsan hindi maiiwasan may mga gustong sumabit sa group ninyo at hindi masyadong kaaya-ayang kasama.  Siguro, if I were younger and still single try ko rin siguro mag solo travel. Basta sa akin if pipili ako ng place for solo travel ang criteria ko sa place should have an efficient transport system and generally safe. Yun bang tipong if kaliangan mo mag taxi eh okay yun mga drivers. Domestic Travel mas madali siguro kase if pinoy ka naman kase hindi ka basta lolokohin ng mga masasamang loob. Dapat lang alam mo ang mga rates more or less... like entrance fees, rent ng boat, pamasahe etc... Kung International naman I suggest either Singapore or Korea kase generally safe dun and tourist friendly.

DIY ako sa Baler. Sobrang na stress ako sa work eh. Nagastos ko is 6K all in for 4 days.

my first solo travel experience was on my 23rd birthday, Hong Kong.

super liberating experience kasi wala kang aalalahaning mabagal maglakad / maligo, pag naligaw ka kasalanan mo at wala kang ibang sisisihin, OK lang mag-ikot ng matagal dahil paa mo lang naman ang sasakit I went there knowing nothing about the place, my plan was really to get lost and survive. At least choose a safe city, diba!

Korek, you can do what you want when you want it, no need to worry about missing the plane just because someone else woke up late or missing out on a beautiful tourist site just because someone else was whining about their tired feet.

Kain ka sa Calea, Cafe Bascon, Aboy's, Virgie's and Bong-Bong's sis.  Masarap ang seafood and sweets diyan sa Bacolod, be prepared na maghakot pauwi.  I hope you have fun there sis, good luck

I've had my share of solo travels (first time in the place as well):

1.  Amsterdam, Netherlands,
2.  Paris, France
3.  Lausanne, Switzerland
4.  Sydney, Australia
5.  Melbourne, Australia

I find solo travel more fulfilling for me, i get the shots on where I want to go.  Nobody to wait for when I am raring to explore the streets.  I just make sure that when I travel alone, its a safe city and I always have my common sense intact.  I focus a lot and do advance research on the places I am planning to go.  I do google for tips and tricks that would help me along the ways as well.

I also don't do the taxis and the comfortable ride unless necessary.  I love to commute as I am able to absorb the city more. 

I plan to go to more solo travels in the future.  I really hate when I am in a place for a short time and I only get to visit few places because I have to be accommodating to my companion. 

I'd rather have somebody with on beach or any travel with activities like surfing or rides (disneyland, universal studios etc).  Otherwise, I love travelling all by myself.

Hi…I'm back from my second solo travel in Singapore.  Almost one month din ako nag-stay doon.  Kahit naman naroon ang youngest brother ko, I stayed in a different place.  Magandang experience kasi kahit second time ko, meron pa ring mga bagong adventure at lesson na matutunan.  I gained some friends - Filipinos and foreigners alike.  Pati ang culture ng bang lugar- very interesting.

I will be going back to Singapore before the year ends.  And hopefully, I can go to Indonesia after that.  This year kasi ang peg ko ay South East Asia.  Then next time I will prepare for my solo trip to Hongkong and Macau.  Haaay…sarap magtravel...

^ If it's already in two weeks, then it should be around the week of September 7 to 13? Too bad then. Because if you're supposedly going to end up travelling solo, you can kind of go around with us sana. But we won't be in Davao until September 20, so your trip must be done by then. Regardless, Davao is a very safe place, so you need not worry
