After almost a year, my GR now refuses to eat his food. I feed him ground pork + veggies (kalabasa, malunggay, carrots) + white rice. Madalas pork pinapakain ko kasi mas mura. Minsan naman chicken or beef. He's acting normal naman, makulit and malaro so I think wala namang siyang sakit.

NKKLK. Sayang 'yung binili kong 3 kilos ng ground pork ngayon. Ayaw kainin. Hindi naman panis, I just cooked it yesterday

^sis thats normal. nagsasawa rin yansilasa food nila. like samin, i mix dilis,cabbage, shredded zucchini and carrots to a boil. thats their ulam na tapos add white rice.. sometimes sawa sila, so i change it with ground beef with the same vegetables once in a while... yung isa sa mga dogs namin, madaling magsawa so sometimes pag yun ulam, he wont eat. so mag diet siya. milk and bread. tapos next day kakain na ulit siya nung ulam na gawa ko. hehe

ginugutom ko din yung dogs ko kapag ayaw kumain. kapag di ginalaw yung pagkain, tinatago ko na ulit.

go natural with saw dust kami usually. so far okay naman. sa bullmastiff ko, once a daw lang, 3 cups a day.

Ah, 'yan din sinabi nung isang friend ko. He recommended na i-change ko daw once in a while or lagyan ng sarsa. Parang menudo / adobo for dogs. Prob ko lang 'eh hindi ko kayang i-maintain 'yun dahil busy sa work. Boil boil lang ang keri ko. Baka kasi masanay haha.

BTW, kumain na ulit 'yung dog ko. I bought beef naman then inahalo ko doon sa pork na binili ko. Nilagyan ko din ng chicken liver (pero konti lang). Ngayon 'eh magana na siya ulit.

Medyo natakot lang ako nung hindi siya kumain ng madami for a couple of days. Nangyari kasi din dati 'yun, nung mga 3 mos old siya. Naka-dog food pa siya noon. Ayaw kumain, so sabi ng mga friends ko, hayaan ko lang daw. Ang nangyari, sobrang pumayat naman. So hinaluan ko ng chicken. Kumain naman, then after ilang months, ayaw na nung dog food at 'yung chicken lang ang kinakain. That's why I switched him na to cooked food.

^hehe oo sis, ang aarte nga nila minsan...mas ok naman yung boil lang sis para healthy sila...and by the way sis, if gagawa ka ng parang menudo o adobo for them BAWAL ang onions sakanila. parang poison yan for dogs.
and if halos more than two or three days walang gana ang dog mo sis, baka he isnt feeling well, kaya okay rin na pacheck up once in a while sa vet...

^sis hindi yata maganda ang milk sa furbabies natin. nagtatae. meron nabibiling gatas formulated for dogs talaga. but i think premium dogfood for puppies would suffice. acana, orijen, go nat.

give them those that are formulated for dogs talaga, yung mga lactose free. meron naman sa pet express and other pet supplies stores.

Hi, mga sis! Ask ko lang anong ok na brand ng dog food na affordable naman and pwede in general sa dogs? Am planning to donate kasi sa isang shelter ng lamb and rice na dog food since ganyan kinakain ng dogs doon. And I want to know ano okay blihin! TIA!

^just ask them kung ano preferred nila na brand, pero usually kasi sinasabi nila any brand is welcome, kung may cats sila, ok rin na cat food ang ibigay kasi parang mas less yung nagbibigay ng cat food eh.

Oh no sa milk! I just bought some dental chews/treats for Max na milk flavor/fruity stick made by Orgo. Has anyone tried giving these treats to your furbabies? Now, I'm scared to give it. Baka magtae

^Some dogs don't react negatively to it naman. When my dog was young, palagi sya may upset stomach, my vet back then suggested to give Bear Brand milk, okay naman sa kanya. Also, I used to give her treats with milk rin. Ngayon na lang talaga lahat bawal kasi sa allergies haha

^Skin manifestation, itchy palagi, may flakes. Lahat na ng klase ng shampoo at medication for skin hindi umuubra until kay Doc Nielsen suggested a change in diet na. Nag food elimination trial kami. Tuna, potato and carrots lang sya ngayon for more than a year na. Hindi pa rin completely okay kasi baka daw may effect ang environment pero malaki na ang improvement. Last resort kasi bigyan sya ng medicine na illower yung immune system nya para magstop magreact (the same medicine given to people who just had a transplant), kaso delikado for her kasi mahina na immune system nya to begin with.

I never thought that magkaka allergy yung shih tzu namin sa Vitality since it's hypoallergenic. Good thing i brought him to his vet kasi nakakaawa tingnan. We never feed him table food just kibbles lang at saka apples, carrots or lettuce paminsan minsan. His food right now is Beef Pro and i recently discover that he also loves Royal Canin.

Where do you guys get your doggie treats and what treats do they like?

Max seems to like the one from Bow & Wow na cheddar bits but it's a whopping P310 LOL
Otherwise, I got him some Japanese milk and veggie biscuits from the supermarket and other treats from Tiendesitas.

for my babies, i give dentastix from pedigree. or chicken liver or raw chicken. konti lang. as treats. frugal here. kung per kilo kasi namamahalan ako sa mga treats na naka pack. eh by product lang naman sila ng mga meats diba. why not give yung meat mismo.
