Thanks abu! I bought Go Nat earlier in Dogs and The City. Akala ko mas mahal yung Acana! Haha! Anyway. Too bad wala silang trial pack so mej napilitan ako bilin yung malaki -- at nagdasal na lang ako na magustuhan ng pet ko. Haha! I just made my shih tzu taste muna. Sana magtuloy-tuloy :) My pet used to take beefpro kaso nangangati ngayon yung shih tzu ko.  :( And napansin ko may rashes sya.

lately parang namayat baby ko, di ko pa ulit sya nadadala sa vet para malaman ang weight nya e, parang medyo loose yung skin nya. maybe because I stopped giving him vitamins (LC Vit) naubusan na kasi and hindi pa ako nakakabili ulit dahil plan ko sabay2 na pagbili ko ng other things for him (and our other dogs) when I go to Cartimar. magana pa rin naman syang kumain at masigla (sobra!) maybe I need to increase what I feed him. ngayon kasi 1cup meat, 1/2 veggies + rice.

My cousin gives Mosegor as appetite stimulant for her dog, as prescribed by the vet. hindi rin kasi talaga palakain.

I gave her tiki-tiki (low budget ako that time kaya yun lang vitamins nya) tapos may malaking syringe ako, nagfi-feeding sessions kami gamit yun 3x a day. I had to do this for 2-3 weeks. After nun, I think she got used to eating frequently, nadevelop nya yung habit and now, palakain na siya :D Ngayon ang problema ko naging inggitera tong dog ko, kung ano kinakain ko gusto nya din tikman, even veggies she won't normally eat like malunggay and kangkong, basta nakita niyang kinakain ko, nagiging gusto din niya. But i think that's fine :)

Nakakapanghinayang yung kibbles pag napagsawaan na nila, so ako noon when it happened to me, I melted the kibbles through boiling, tapos hinahalo ko sa meat.

okay lang ang rice but in small amounts lang, pero kung nakadogfood na kayo don't add any source of carbs kasi madami ng grains sa kibbles. dogs are carnivores by nature at hirap sila to digest plant matters so as much as possible, sa meat tayo magfocus.

try one meat at a time, kung chicken, chicken lang. wag halo-halo kasi mas lalo sya magiging picky. your dog needs tough love, discipline kailangan nya para kumain ;) set firm mealtime schedules, ioffer mo for 10-15mins, then alisin na kahit may natira or di kinain. then no treats in between meals, sa next mealtime ka na ulit magoffer ng food. do it everyday, matatakot na yan mawalan ng food ;D

gagawin ko to!!!
i think dahil naging maluwag kami sa pagbibigay ng treats sa kaniya kaya siya naging picky ngayon. other things i'll be asking the vet this week is baka nagiipin siya or may bulate na. si mama kasi, todo babysit!
hahaha gawin ko yan, no treats in between meals tignan natin kong di siya magutom.~

bailey, acana and orijen lang yung may trial pack, susugal ka talaga sa ibang brands haha! buti may isa pa akong alaga na matakaw, kaya pag ayaw nung isa di sayang hehe. before nakakabili ako per kilo ng Go Nat sa Tiende, di ko lang sure kung meron pa rin til now.

Di kasi talaga appropriate yung ibang food for dogs kaya nagrereact ang body nila. Naku most traditional vets would recommend dogfood, expect nyo na yun. ako I don't follow their advice when it comes to feeding, I do my own research hehe.

We can be really generous to them pero pag training, let's be strict with the rules, at buong household dapat same ang treatment sa kanila.

Hi sis abuanddiego, I switched to home cooked meals for my fur baby. So far, I have given him pork and chicken. The only thing I noticed is he often passes gas and it smells! Hahaha! Does this happen to your fur babies too?  :P

^my boys are pango kaya medyo sanay na ako sa gas hehe sometimes they do it a couple of times a day, sometimes wala naman. your dog might be adjusting to his new diet, what else kasama ng meat?

Nice to know I'm not the only one who's mom is pasaway pag nag bebaby sit. hehe, I told her na din na huwag ng sanayin and that means no dog biscuits if he hasn't eaten or huwag bibigyan ng dry kibble if he hasn't eaten his meals yet. And I followed your advice sis abu na kung chicken lang this week, chicken lang and pork lang kung pork the next. So far, his appetite is back, I increased his Raffavit to 3ml and yesterday is his last day of his meds. :) Thanks guys!

^^try one source of carbs and see kung alin dun ang mas nagcaucause ng gas.

nung puppy pa ang shih tzu ko, madalas sya magfart pero ngayon once in a blue moon na lang. but he would fart out of nowhere, laging nasa tabi ko yan tapos bigla na lang akong may maamoy lol! my bulldog naman is a notorious farter during trips, hingal na hingal kasi tapos every 30mins-1hour naghahasik ng lagim! then may biglang sisigaw sabay bukas ng window ;D ako naman tatawa-tawa at magsosorry sa kanila hahaha!

^ako naman, I'm the only caretaker of my dogs kaya sakin lang galing lahat ng rules ;D we have to be consistent kasi para maging good boys and girls sila. mahirap ang tough love especially kung lenient ang household but it will really pay off in the future. you would have calm dogs at madali malaman ang cause ng sakit kasi may rules and schedules tayong sinusunod ;)

I don't anymore give fruits, dogs do not need them naman, bec. they're carnivores.
fruits should be given separately from meat, harder to digest kasi ang plant matters.

"Why should fruit be fed separately from protein?
When you feed fruit with protein, it sits in the stomach much longer which may lead to undesirable fermentation and small production of alcohol. The rule of thumb is to feed fruit at least 1 hour before feeding meat or other proteins and a minimum of 3 hours after a protein meal.  The reason is that fruit digestion on its own is fast. However, when you feed fruit with protein,  it sits in the stomach much  longer which may lead to undesirable fermentation and production of a small amount of  alcohol.  So, if you see your dog stumbling and wobbling around the house like a drunken sailor, you fed too much fruit with protein! I am just kidding but the core of this message is to feed fruit and protein separately." - http://peterdobias.com/community/2012/07/what-fruit-can-dogs-eat/#sthash.gS8vUCSI.dpuf

before i used to give my bulldog fruits pero lately di na kasi di nya nilulunok, nilalaro lang sa bibig tapos iluluwa. yung shih tzu ko naman eversince ayaw ng fruits. ang pinakatreats nila is meat din, minsan egg, organs, cartilage.

observe the poop na lang, pag lumambot after giving fruits, wag na kayo magbigay.

Wala kasi sa MoA and TriNoma and SM North e un lang ang possible na mall na mapuntahan namin. Sa Hobbes and Landes ba sa Macapagal meron?:)
Or kahit sa mga online stores, ano kaya meron nun sis? Thanks!:)

Ngayon I baked na his food.

Thank you ng marami!

TIA  :)

^sis ground beef ba ginagamit mo? :-\
