I have a huge balance sa bpi credit card ko. Halos 2 years ko na din siyang binabayaran na kung tutuusin with the interest rate eh bayad ko na siya dapat. There was a time na hindi ako nakakabayad in full at lageng minimum lang kaya lumaki yung balance ko. Meron kayang parang program ang BPI to help na babaan yung interest or i-freeze muna?

I think all banks that offer credit cards allow where you can negotiate for a smaller interest in case you are having a hard time paying it - BPI may or may not have such a program, but I've heard stories about people who are able to negotiate a more affordable payment scheme. However, malabo yung arrangement na ma-freeze yung interest.

Talk to the bank. Probably an actual visit to the branch would be best. I think your case might be "customized" so that you get a better payment scheme. ;)

Do this ASAP para di na lalong lumaki ang balance mo.

Bank anywhere sila for most transactions.

Not sure sa supplementary, pero tingin ko baka kailangan dad mo ang pumunta at makipag negotiate - kasi kargo niya yun. Kung hindi possible dahil may karamdaman siya, then try mo na ikaw lang muna.

Any girls here na nagamit na locally issued credit cards natin to purchase something (in installment basis) overseas? Possible ba yun?

I haven't tried this yet sis. However, I happen to inquire about this last week. Will you be using a BPI CC?

Sa BPI, they have this SIP installment program. The requirement is that, you need to have twice the value of the actual credit limit before purchasing the product; say, you want to buy something worth P10k, you will need to have a minimum of Php 20k actual credit limit.

You purchase the product using straight payment.

Then arrange with BPI right away to pay it in installments using their SIP installment program.

Yun nga lang, this is not a zero installment deal. May interest ito depende sa term of payment na gusto mo.

For other banks, maybe someone could answer here or just check yourself if there is such a similar program like that of BPI's SIP.

Alternatively, you may also try to look into getting a personal loan from banks, or salary loans from your company, SSS and/or PAGIBIG to pay your online purchase. So it's get the loaned money then pay the CC bill right away. Pretty much the same effect, installment mo ring babayaran. I think mas mababa pa ang interest kung sa SSS and/or PAGIBIG mo na lang kukunin ang loan, as compared to a BPI's SIP installment program or other similar installment programs in other banks if they exist.

^I also have BPI CC but SIP is only for local purchases.  Remember that cashiers out of Phils does not have BPI terminals but visa or mastercard only.  Therefore, you may only use SIP on purchases within Philippines.

Thanks

Sis try mo muna mag Secured Credit card. RCBC offers the lowest minimum dep for 5K tapos 100% credit limit yon. Use the card for 6 months, make sure to pay on time, then apply ka ng regular CC for sure ma-approve ka na.
